It's nice seeing Al Pacino just kinda having a candid conversational interview, he's never really done a lot of this type of thing. I really enjoy Conan's new format.
Clearly you've never seen any of his guest appearances on Letterman. In those interviews he was a talker, a joker, and a riveting storyteller. Completely not the timid persona everyone seems to expect from him
Why? It just strikes me as funny..why does he deserve all the happiness in the world? Fathering children in his eighties😂..because he spent most of his life rich and successful? I mean, seriously 😅
I ENCOURAGE everyone to go back to those old films of young Al Pacino - the acting and story is phenomenal. All the stuff in his younger career in the 70s. Brilliant films.
Definitely a distinct period for him in that he was allowed to show more variety in his characterizations. After And Justice For All and, especially, Scarface, he kind of became a "force of nature" actor....in that a booming personality takes over many of his roles.....similar thing happened to Jack Nicholson.

I’m glad to see Al Pacino’s mind is still sharp, and he still quick witted. This is the best interview I’ve seen of him. Conan is the perfect interviewer of him, not just because of his knowledge of him, but also his sense of humor blends well with Al’s.
I have this image of Al Pacino being someone untouchable, but he seems to be so down to earth... Connan really did it with that one! They need to have Paul McCartney or Helen Mirren on the show too! Great interview!
Technically Paul has done it! But not in the typical studio and I think it’s only available audio wise. They did it at an event with an audience. Still good stuff tho
Absolute legend. Al Pacino got nothing handed to him; he went through all those struggles and became such a legend - and the most beautiful part: He retained his humble, down-to-earth demeanor. I wasn't aware of how tough his background actually was. That is pretty amazing; this episode definitely piqued my interest in reading that new book of his. Definitely going to give it a read👍

A transfixing desperate naturalistic performance by this young guy Al Pacino, based on a true story of a bank robbery. I don’t think I’ve seen a more affecting believable performance than that one. One of the best movies of the 70s , or ever. Seen it several times since but that first time sticks with me.
I'm saying it for the hundredth time. Conan is the realest and the most humble host.
Al is so old now, but he was a tour de force. God bless you for all your work. Glad hes still alive
