I wasn't surprised by how well Zverev was playing - I had noticed improvements throughout the week. I was surprised by how poorly Medvedev was playing. I expected a much more hard fought match. Congratulations to Zverev on a well deserved win! The question of course is can he ever do this level in best of 5 two weeks of play at a Grand Slam??? We will find out in 2022 and beyond!

Not until he doesn’t serve 70 mph. It’s not even about the tactic, it’s just a bad look

I was shocked by how nervous and how poorly Medvedev played. He came into the tournament confident, won every match to that point, and had won the tournament last year. Didn’t seem like a match he’d get nervous in. Maybe just an off day. Impressive performance from Zverev for sure. I want to see what he can do best of 5.

About new season I just hope Zverev's gonna be on Med' half of the draw at AO (ofc if Novak plays). We saw SF Djoko-Zverev at AO, USO and Olympics, three biggest hard courts events of the season and I'm tired of it. I'd love to watch Med-Zverev 5-setter at AO...

Well Djokovic isn't getting any better, and Zverev still should be. So maybe we'll get both? (Zverev/Djokovic semi and Zverev/Medvedev final)

Zverev had his second serve going as well, which is big for him.

Is he capable Yes. Is he going to do it?...Before you beat him he believed Djokovic was able to get out of any situation in a Grand Slam. That thought or train of thinking surely has evaporated and Zverev is more determined than ever, this time i don't think he will fold under any circumstance. The beauty of Sashs game is he plays the defensive game masterfully and makes me think not when, but how many?

Zverev's has been averaging more than 70-75% first serve for almost 10 matches now . This servebotting gonna cause tennis to lose lot of fans .

Hey Gill. I really enjoy your show and look forward to every MMA :)
However, I feel your channel would benefit so much from a little more effort when it comes to production value. Why not try to make your show a little more „showy“. Add an news-like extra screen wirh stats or some videos, set up a nicer background, I dont know.
This way, there is actually no real point to watch your show as you can also hear it as a podcast.

Gill when are you going to drop a video about the biggest story in tennis at the moment??
Will Novak (yes I respectfully said his proper name) be playing at the the Aussie Open in January??
My take on it and it may surprise some is that if the tournament demand players to be double vaxxed as the only way to play and not go through a quarantine period like before then the other players should refuse to play! I agree with Kyrgios saying the event should be scrapped in 2022.

that is what I've been saying all the time. Zverev's forehand is a potential. weapon. since 2017 AO match with Rafa, I've seen what this forehand can do. the backhand is a wall, rock-solid, but the forehand is a weapon. just like his serve, it can be both, his greatest weapon,, or his greatest weakness. With Zverev you kind of never know which one is going to be in a particular match. But the potential was always there. one thing I might point out - I don't like Zverev as a person. he is a hyper arrogant asshlole in my view and it will cost him big time. but his tennis? it is pleasure to watch if his head is not messing it up. which was the case of USO 2020. and some more.

He hasn’t beaten a top 10 player at a slam yet. It’s very difficult to make a slam final without beating a top 10 player. He needs to step up at slams and start winning some of these big matches with big 3, Thiem, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, and others, even Schwartzman
