I see people saying "I re-uploaded." but what does that mean? You re-uploaded and lost all your views? or are you able to replace a video and keep all the comments/views?
I have been looking at videos on how to properly use my osmo pocket and I have to say, this is probably the best video I’ve watched for learning how to use it!! Thank you!
I just bought this camera. I hate reading manuals and assimilate info far faster and better from video tuts. This was crystal clear and perfect for my needs. Many thanks to you.
Finally someone who actually shows how to set things in the actual menu. Found a trillion videos and tutorials (including dji 2 minute tutorial) saying that I should adjust exposure settings, picture profile, etc, but none mentioned how to access that in the menus, i.e. the secret press on pro icon in upper left.
Of all the reviews I've seen of this camera (which I'm about to order) I have never seen a reviewer say something about the window in window, they all complain that you cannot see the complete image. Thank you so much! Your video was very helpful.
Thanks so much Garrett for the clear and concise tutorial on the DJI Osmo Pocket. I appreciate your professional production and pace of your presentation, and I'm definitely subscribing to your RUclips channel. Cheers. Dan
I watched this video years ago when I got my Osmo 1. Osmo's batts died after 4 years, and I just had them replaced. I am re-watching today to refresh my memory and check my settings. Thanks for making the video -- it's great
You have made by far the best explanation of all the settings on the OSMO pocket. I got mine a few weeks ago and i have watched about 8 different people try to describe the different options on this thing and your's is the easiest to understand and most detailed. Thanks for the awesome video!
Just bought the Pocket and since it comes with 90% charged battery, I went straight out on the streets to shoot some nice videos in 4K. Unfortunately my PC is too weak to handle 4K videos so I guess I'll just shoot in FHD from now on. I love it!
Things are moving so fast technology wise Im going to end up getting a new pc. It sucks but then again it doesn't because I like all then new improvements lol. I feel your pain lol.
Hiya....excellent video ...in the osmopocket I know you can do a photo timelapse from point a to point b, all setup within the camera. Is it possible to do similar but shoot video? i.e. select point a and point b, a time duration from a to b, then shoot regular 4k video instead of a series of photos? Thanks in advance.
I know it’s been a suggestion/request on a ton of the DJI forums. I don’t know if it’s ever been implemented yet, but that would be an awesome feature!
@@garrettsammons Thank you for your time and interest...!!!much appreciated you put sometime in replying....I totally agree...AWESOME..!!! Can you imagine ??? Cheeerrrsss..!!!
This video is a year ago and I just want to say thank you for this very clear review. I use this camera for both cinematic and standard RUclips videos. Glad I found this video.
This video was very helpful. I bought this camera about a month ago and have been using it out of the box. I wasn’t very pleased with my shots but I see now, that I needed to adjust the settings. Thanks for the info!
This is hands down the best, clearest, most informative video on the Osmo I've seen yet! It's so refreshing to see a cat who KNOWS what the hell he's talking about. Thanks!!!
My DJI Osmo Pocket has been sitting around for 3 weeks because I couldn't make sense of the settings. This video has definitely helped! Will be using my Osmo Pocket more often now! Thanks so much!
Man that was really helpful - wish i saw the window in window setting earlier, it was really making me mad that i could compose my shots to what was actually being captured
I was holding out in case they released a new model as most of the footage I’ve seen has been so-so, but that cinematic montage has convinced me that this thing is a beast when used to its full potential.
Of all the Osmo pocket 'tutorials' this for me has to be the best one I've seen, thank you and you've fixed a few issues I've been having with mine where other videos skirted around the controls, great video and now subscribed - thank you
I LOOOOOVE this dude! Honestly, the best, most descriptive videos that turn anyone from beginner to expert videographer in just 10 mins! Thank you Garrett!
Minor thing, I think afc = autofocus continuous, at least it is on mirrorless cameras. You obviously explained it correctly anyway, so really no big deal. Thanks!
We thought you definitely shot the b roll with another camera! After watching this we've busted out the OP again and putting it through it's paces with the new firmware... pumped to have found your channel!! Excellent work!
Can't say I didn't learn a couple things! I was afraid that super fine mode would be over sharpened even more. Your footage looks great. I am having a problem where every shot is packed full of noise, even at 100iso in a well exposed shot, the shadows have noise. Any tips?
That’s so odd. You on the latest firmware? I can’t think of why that would be happening. Maybe do a factory reset? If you can’t bail it down, I’d reach out to DJI directly.
@@garrettsammons latest firmware yes. I just noticed it in my mavic air as well. The only thing I can think of is the exposure being a tad off. But the shadows or dark objects are so noisy
It amazes me how there are always some people who give a thumbs down no matter how good the video is. Thank you just got mine now this was very helpful.
BEST video that's full of information while keeping it concise! Just got an Osmo and I would've been so lost without your tips and tricks wow THANKS GARRETT!!!

A bit late to the party, but thank you Garrett; a really informative run through on the Pocket cinematic settings. But 2nd run through I was there, hanging onto your coat-tails! ;) Personally I am not a fan watching 4K TV/video footage; for me it looks too cold and clinical: being a 'boomer' maybe it's an age thing ... dunno. hi I need help when I shoot with my osmo pocket there are some round rings appearing in the video , like ripples in water , why is it and how can I fix it ? thank you so for the help .
Great video, thanks! So, I am going to a trade show. There will be lots of noise, flashing lights, etc, all indoors. What accessories, settings, etc do you recommend to use to record interviews? What about filters?
It’s always best in loud environments to have a LAV mic for audio. That said, if you’re trying to hear yourself in the interview in addition to the interviewee, LAVs are tough. If you only want to hear the interviewee, I’d recommend the audio adapter from DJI and the RØDE Wireless Go with their lapel microphone. Amazingly small wireless LAV kit. If you need to hear yourself in addition to the interviewee, I’d recommend getting something like the the RØDE video micro. Small shotgun mic that works well. You’ll still need the DJI audio adapter.
Sooooooo I just re-uploaded this due to my firmware being out of date. I corrected the tutorial to ensure the best possible settings. Enjoy!
I see people saying "I re-uploaded." but what does that mean? You re-uploaded and lost all your views? or are you able to replace a video and keep all the comments/views?
Unfortunately, you lose the views if you pull a video down and reupload it. Vimeo allows you to keep your stats but RUclips doesn’t.
I have been looking at videos on how to properly use my osmo pocket and I have to say, this is probably the best video I’ve watched for learning how to use it!! Thank you!
