Mine just came in, as well as the OSMO DJI FM-15 Flexi Microphone. However, I didn't note any difference with the sound quality when using the new mic. Have you tried it?
🔶 Hidden Feature (not covered in this video): You can quickly adjust the gimbal manually. Just hold and turn it into the desired position and it will stay there. Don't worry, it won't damage the motors, this is really a built-in (and very handy) feature.
Thank you very much for the video. There were 2 things I liked the most which I was not aware of. 1 Using the Osmo Aap i can add 4 locations for motion laps. 2 I was not aware u could use the charging cable to connect my phone with the help of an OTG adapter. Till now I was using an OTG adaptor transferring data from my phone to my external hard drive. Now I can use the cable and an OTG adapter to connect my phone with osmo pocket. That you very much. Really helpful VIDEO. 📸
I'm fixing to break up my aerial footage with the osmo pocket 2 and your 15 tips was very helpful and I'm picking up on say a dji algorithm, in all dji products no all options are available at all high quality high frame rates but without anyone saying anything you'd think your equipment is broke.... thank you so much
addicted2youtub It’s super handy, and has some neat features. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it a lot. Just be aware of the extra accessories you might want and the cost as it can add up quickly. Happy filming!
To get the hypo lapses with 4 weypoints. Do you have to leave your phone connected to then do the hypolapes or can you set it up and then remove the phone?
Very helpful, I found one I have the wifi adapter and not able to plug into pc as it doesn't detect it connected to pc, do you know any way around this? bad what u shot in 4k
Tip 16, Setting up my tablet/samsung 6 with wireless. Go to settings/accessories/wireless module. swipe left you will see 2.4g/5.8g and reset it's set on 5.8G, i have a note 9 and it works perfectly with the wireless, but my samsung 6 and NVIDIA Shield tablet both connected up but the camera was not showing in the screen what i had to do to have them fully functional was change from 5.8G to 2.4G then you see what the camera sees on the screen.. Hope this helps.
News Flash Bulletin: Tip #12 got me thinking. You mentioned you could not turn your iPhone upside down. Clearly, that results in an upside down image. BUT if you turn the Osmo Pocket upside down and plug it in you will get the front facing microphone as well as an upright image. The Mimo app did show an upside down image at first but then it uprighted the image resulting in what your tip was trying to accomplish. Only downside I saw was the Up/Down/Left/Right controls were now reversed. But if you are clearly looking for good audio, this is a work around. Cheers!
Do you maybe have any advice or tips for blur? I'm struggling with my dji. It's never had this issue, but now all of a sudden my entire left side of my screen is blurred while the right side is perfectly in focus. I've tried factory reset, I've tried to change all the settings, I've cleaned the lens, I've tested in multiple different lighting conditions and locations, but every video my left side of the video is completely blurred out. There's no option on the DJI app for a firmware update either. I'm at a loss of what to do. My footage for months now has been completely ruined..
Hello! I have a problem with the Osmo Pocket 2 and I do not know how to solve it. In the editor. When I cut a video, I notice an unwanted sharp sound (clack) between the cuts. This happens in 60% of cases. do you have a solution? It only does this in the videos I have written with the Osmo Pocket 2 and not with the other cameras ...
Thanks for the helpful video. Does the osmo actually drawn the iPhone battery when you plugging the usb c port ? I had the experience with an Android phone on the upper sliding port...
Dre Zee Pretty sure no audio device exists for external audio. You’ll see adapters and the like for sale claiming they work, but don’t. Until DJI updates the Osmo, nothing will work.
In FPV mode (which should have been called 'Unlocked' mode), the gimbal head will follow the direction of the camera handle without restriction - though the movement will be smoothed. It means that the Pocket will behave like any other camera, apart from the smoothed movement. In Follow mode - which should have been called 'Horizon Lock' mode - the gimbal head will always stay horizontal. This means that you don't have to worry about keeping the horizon straight. The camera will look after itself in that respect, and that's handy because with the tiny screen, it's hard to tell if the horizon is exactly straight or not. Note that "Follow Mode" has nothing at all to do with tracking a face or other subject. This mode is perhaps the most often used. In Tilt Lock mode, which should have been called 'Tilt and Horizon Lock' mode (except that's too long) the camera behaves the same as in Follow mode (horizon always straight) but in addition, the gimbal will point ahead in one direction. If you move the handle, you won't be able to point the camera up to the sky or down to your feet. You can set it to straight ahead using the 'recenter' option, and you can adjust it down to your feet or up to the sky using the little slider on the right side of the screen. It will then stay pointing at the sky or your feet (or anywhere between) regardless of handle movement. In all these modes, it's always possible to pan the camera from side to side. If you want to lock that axis as well as the axes locked by Tilt Lock, you'll have to use the controller wheel accessory and hold down the right hand button on the controller. That makes the camera point in a constant direction, regardless of how you move the handle, thus preventing panning. Hope that helps.
I have question for you, my Osmo pocket camera connected to iPhone took nice single picture and download on PC it looks very clean & OK, with very same picture made movie, use movie maker program & played on then it shows only on same picture data text popped up “DCIM\100MEDIA\DJI-3501JPG” Is any way can correct or resets? Doesn’t shows data text. I have limited computer knowledges thanks your help.
Thanks for all the tips! I just got an osmo pocket and trying to figure out how to use it LOL. if you cant download the 4k footage from an app you have to get it from the computer? How do you go about doing that? The sd card? Or can i connect the osmo to the computer?
Also, should I always shoot at 4k besides at low light? What fps should i generally keep it on? Im new to all this...so i apologize for the silly questions
McSpuds There was a firmware update so you can now download the video to your phone via the Mimo app. You can also download via the other ways you mentioned
McSpuds I shoot 4K when you’ll actual want to and view it in 4K. Else 1080p will be fine for social media for example. Also much easier to edit and less space needed if use 1080p. Happy filming!
Can anyone explain me about cosmo when to use it in 4k with 60fps and when to with 30fps? The same with 1080p. For example, I will take it to big fair in Germany when I would like to shoot some reviews on products there. There will be a lot of people and different lights in each stands. What will be the best setting? Thank you in advance for your help! :)
Are you asking if a tripod can be connected when the wifi adapter is connected? If so, the answer would be no. Although I have seen a mount to the adapter that adds a 1/4" 20 to it.
Sorry, I don’t know the answer to that. It just takes a long time for me to, but I make sure the video is perfect before taking all that time to upload.
Tip #6 "Portrait mode only works for photos, not videos." Not true. Rotating the Pocket to a horizontal position enables portrait mode for both photos and videos. Rotating to the upside down position allows "under slung" shooting while the monitor screen image remains upright.
Video cannot be rotated to portrait? So that's the only review that said that - thanks! From now on I know I love Osmo Pocket. My field of vision is not vertical - I don't lie on my side in the cinema, and TikTok is the global decline of humanity.
JUST RELEASED! The OSMO POCKET 3.5 mm Audio Adapter for better sound. Available for purchase on DJI's website: bit.ly/OsmoPocketAudioAdapter
Mine just came in, as well as the OSMO DJI FM-15 Flexi Microphone. However, I didn't note any difference with the sound quality when using the new mic. Have you tried it?
So you’re using that mic with DJI’s adapter? If so, it should be working but whether the sound quality would be better depends on the mic quality.
🔶 Hidden Feature (not covered in this video):
You can quickly adjust the gimbal manually. Just hold and turn it into the desired position and it will stay there. Don't worry, it won't damage the motors, this is really a built-in (and very handy) feature.

I found this useful. Thanks. How do I get the cottage off the camera and into iMovie?
My Osmo doesn't have the iphone thing on the front - can it still be connected to my iphone?
To get the hypo lapses with 4 weypoints. Do you have to leave your phone connected to then do the hypolapes or can you set it up and then remove the phone?

Good tips,

What a steal for this great handheld video recorder.
That’s awesome!
Very good. One of the best I have seen for getting up and running. Nice.
Thanks so much Stan! Happy film making!

Thanks for the helpful video. Does the osmo actually drawn the iPhone battery when you plugging the usb c port ? I had the experience with an Android phone on the upper sliding port...
It doesn’t draw power from an iPhone.
Do you know if you can plug a Zoom audio device into the USB port for audio?

Comment choisir la langue de l'osmo pocket ?
Can you set the pocket to film 4k in MP4 without it being attached to a phone when filming?
Yes!
We miss this kind of clean and neat video. It helps a lot to make the decision to buy it or not. Thank you ! I sub
Nice to hear it was helpful. Happy filming!
Thank you for all tips !! specially last tip !
Thanks for the video! The low-light tips were especially helpful.
Nice to hear it was helpful! Thanks!
does it work with android phone ????
Yes, but make sure your model is listed as supported.
Is it there the possibilities to change the iso settings just with the Osmo, without connecting it to the phone? Thank you
Yes, you can. In Pro mode, select Exposure then select Manual. You can then adjust both shutter speed and ISOs.

Thank you for sharing these useful tips !
This video provided some good tips. Thanks -
Really nice to hear that, thanks!
IOS dunt support 4k videos.. sadly have to wait . have u tried wifi module on selfie stick to make it wireless , cause i think wifi looks messy .
DJI's wireless module just doesn't seem worth it, and then it has to be mounted on the stick, so wired works for me.
Can the osmo pocket zoom in or out?
Great question! Unfortunately, no.
NIce and informative. The music is distracting. Turn it down a bit?
Thanks for your comment and feedback!
How much it is? And where can best purchase it?
$350. Direct from DJI (tax free and free shipping) or Amazon.
Thank you 🙏
Very informative video, thank you👍

Shoot in 4K at 30 fps, at the lowest ISO possible, but if light is low, do not exceed 800 ISO.
Great simple tips. Thanks!
Nice to hear it was helpful!
Great review short and to the point 😄👌
Thanks!
can you attach the Z axis with the WiFi adapter connected?

Awesome to know you got a helpful tip from the video! Cheers back!

Excuse me sir, my Osmo Pocket can choose 25, 30, 60 but 24 in both 1080, 2K and 4K. Please help me how to choose 24fps.
I'm not sure, but it may be related to the country you are in, and how that's set with osmo pocket and/or Mimo app.
@@D7dronetech Thank you. Fortunately, I could choose 24fps in PRO mode.
Tip at 3.43: ''can't turn phone around'' is false, at least with android, S8+. Mine does turn any way I want it to.

The quality of the DJI is good, but it is too expensive. Other brands are more cost-effective than practical, and their performance is similar.
