"Don't overbuy accessories" Where were you when I bought my Osmo Pocket last year? I have so many damn parts I have no clue what to do with! Excellent advice.
I bought the Smatree battery handle on your recommendation a couple of months ago. Last week my family was at Disney World and the handle was fantastic. The ability to keep my OP charged was secondary really - the best part is that it gives a much better grip and as you mentioned, a bit of extension to get the OP a bit higher over crowds, etc. I HIGHLY recommend it.
Thanks for the review. Interesting that there is a cold shoe for a mic but no way to connect an external mic while using the extension rod. The USB-c port at the bottom of the Pocket will either be using the wireless module or a cable for the phone - unless you don't use a phone. External mics are important and this seems to be a big design thing to miss. Do you recommend using the rod without a phone? Thanks again.
So I’ve wanted to do some vlogging. And I’ve tried it with my go pro 5. However, stabilization isn’t great and I don’t have a gimbal. I just bought a gimbal for my 11 pro max, but now that I’ve seen the osmo pocket, I feel like it may be a better, smaller set up. Even though the mounting of a mic is a pain in the ass, specially for my fat hands 😂. Should I stick to my phone? Or go for the pocket? I’d like to record at 24fps and sometimes 60fps to slow things a bit down. Thanks!
Have a chance to get one for about $180. Is the pocket still a viable option 2 years in? Or should I just get a phone gimbal or save up for the pocket 2 which is double the price as the 1.
The pocket is still a good little camera and if you can get one for a good deal I would definitely jump on it. The pocket to doesn’t really improve quality it gives you a little wider field of you and the new wireless microphone option if you go that route. But not a lot of other differences in my opinion
I don't see the link for the multipurpose selfie stick and tripod. Could you please share the link or brand name. Newbie to DJI osmo. Plan to use it for capturing videos when I help animals off the streets.
Hello awesome video I'm really interested in a dji product I was looking into the osmo+ but that's now discontinued I got a question can I use the power bank handle with my smartphone attached to the osmo pocket thanks
good vid that, straight to the point, just bought one of these gizmos today, want to use for chatting with people, what would you recommend..? Thanks, oh, curious, all them accessories you showed us, what would the total cost be? have a great weekend :-)
I got myself the DJI accessories kit but I only really just use the wifi module and occasionally the scroll wheel. The case I use is the TinyRig pocket case. Perfectly small that fits the Pocket with scroll wheel and wifi module, plus extra microSD cards and filters. I also got myself the Freewell wide angle lens and polarized CPL filter. But I find the filters don't mount very well or stay on well with the lens protectors...so off those go. So far, that's all I got and honestly, all I probably need being very minimalistic. I might look into a GoPro stick but I doubt I'd use it often. Maybe a shoulder strap for my walking tour videos.
Thanks for the video and Merry Xmas. I bought my Pocket back in February, it was a good camera then but with all the firmware updates it is much better. I have a few accessories the smaller Pgytech case, the expansion kit, the cell phone support and ND filters. I have also an adapter from Polar Pro that attaches to the wifi module and adds the possibility to screw a small tripoid. Everything, including the tripoid, fits on the carrying case. I use a lot the controller wheel because it makes the panning much more smooth and cinematic than turning the whole Pocket. The only thing from the expansion kit that I don't use is the GoPro mount adapter.
The 180 rule says that your shutter speed should be twice your framerate. So if you are shooting at 24fps then your shutter should be 1/48 or as close to that as you can get. At 30fps use 1/60, etc. In bright sunlight using a shutter speed that slow will cause your image to be overexposed because the camera will be letting too much light in. The ND filter solves that issue by limiting the light by several stops.
I am disappointed in the Osmo Pocket. It just doesn't do the things we need to do without a lot of add-ons and such. Some thiings just can't be done. We find ourselves using our big gimbal and a Sony camera more than the Osmo. If you got one for Christmas, I hope you returned it.
It's funny that you recommend the Pocket camera and all the cute little attachments to people in the hopes of scoring some spare change... but all you seem to have used one for is making these ridiculous little infomercials. How would you know if it's going to work for people when you do so little with it? Ahhhhhhh, don't sweat it, people have been selling their opinions for a long time. I wonder if any of them understand that once you recommend something just to profit your opinion becomes totally worthless... you don't seem to.
I understand what you’re saying but my RUclips channel doesn’t really reflect my personal life and how I use my gear. I have hours upon hours of footage shot with both the original Osmo pocket in the updated pocket 2. In fact a lot of the be roll that I use and some of my videos outdoors is shot on the pocket too because it helps me get nice stable footage when I’m doing certain shots. Not to mention it’s with me on almost every family holiday alongside my GoPro and Drone
@@AirPhotography So it's a camera made to shoot 3 to 5-second clips to be inserted into a finalized mini-movie, not meant to be used on its own... got it. Good luck on the money hunt kid.

That’s great it’s always good to get some additional feedback for products like this. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙂
Thank you for the video
Love every bit of it. Just looking for accessories to improve my experience, I'm glad I found your review.. Thanks for making them..
Great content and the video was the sharpest I've seen yet.
Did you use a GoPro or iPhone to make this video ?
Picked up one in 2021 for $150. Still a great camera. Spent 50 on nd filters and an anamorphic.
Question: I assume you can’t use the external power bank handle with the external microphone at the same time? Please advise thanks
Hi can you combine the battery pack and the external mic at the same time or is this not possible?
Thanks for the review. Interesting that there is a cold shoe for a mic but no way to connect an external mic while using the extension rod. great video. right to point. free well wide angle is not available. any other suggestions?

When you talk about the accessories yo should put them in order in your descriptions down the bottom. But nice video
Thank you and good idea
Great video bro👍🏽. Love my Os Pocket! Question. Do you know if the Freewell wide lens works well in the underwater housing? Thanks

Did you get an answer to your question?
Hey there. What's your setup for overhead videos like this? Looks and sounds great.
Would recommend this over other options? Looking for an addition to my drones! Thanks
Oops sorry! That was meant to be a question. Forgot to include “you.”
Thanks for the nice video. Do you have a list of the accessories?
Thanks
Merry Christmas Folk.
Can you use ND filter and wide angle lens attachment simultaneously?
Unfortunately no you cannot
@@AirPhotography I did not want "hear" this answer!

Great video! Very useful.
Can Osmo Pocket connect to mobile phone wirelessly?
It can but you have to use the wireless adapter which Unfortunately does not come with it. I have to purchase it separately
Great video love the list of accessories very helpful video
Can't we connect microphone when it is on charging tripod????????????????????
Please tell sir
????????
I have the same question did you find a solution to this issue?
@@rickmasters818 Noope..
@@rickmasters818 but we can connect a usb C port which turns into 2 usb C port...... then we'll be able to connect charger as well as tripod also..
I'm looking forward to seeing the Osmo Action must have accessories and gear.
I know what ND filters are for so I'm confused by your comment about how the ND filters can help you follow the 180 rule. Please explain.
The 180 rule says that your shutter speed should be twice your framerate. So if you are shooting at 24fps then your shutter should be 1/48 or as close to that as you can get. Bro i buy only 1 tinyrig case, 1set expansion kit, enough already, if you buy too many kit, better use camera.
Great information,
Thank you so much.
Keep up the good work!
Wow that was awesome! Looks like you have everything too for the Osmo Pocket! Thank You I learn a lot on this one ...Merry Christmas!

The philosphy of Osmo "Pocket" is you just put into your pocket. Not into a bag with lots of accesories.
