Fun fact(s), not only is Ray Foster not even a real person; but Bohemian Rhapsody isn't even the longest song on A Night At The Opera. It gets beaten out by The Prophet's Song which is 8 minutes and 24 seconds long, as opposed to Bohemian Rhapsody which is 5 minutes and 54 seconds.
Alberto Ballesteros stunning? It was a very simple pattern played over and over and then a walk down. Almost anybody can do it. You can have your opinion, but frankly, I think there’s much better out there than this particular bass line.
@@TheGeekFactor Fuck off, it's a simple bass line, yet still delivers and it's just what the song needed. Not every bass solo has to be a shredded over the top impossible pattern.
@@TheGeekFactor yeah, a very simple pattern that DELIVERED like hell. It built tension with repetition, against Brian May's changing chords, and then gave some powerful resolution with its descending line towards thunderous lows. EXACTLY what the song needed. And that's stunning. Period.

The only way the younger people will know about Freddie and Queen is having their friends tell them about Freddie. Still many recent comments being put up and after 26 yrs of being gone, we can still perpetuate his legend by telling everyone about Queen and especially Freddie. That is how we keep them from fading into history, especially keeping Freddie alive. Never thought I would be crazy over a singer other than Elvis, but boy, Freddie takes MY breath away.
Trust me, Queen will never "fade into history." They're one of the most famous rock bands that ever existed. Easily in the top ten, alongside the Beatles and Elton John.
The reason I know about Queen, is that, I original hated Bohemian Rhapsody (Because I thought it was a slow and dragged out song, I never listened to the whole thing) Until one day, I noticed it was 6 minutes long. I went to the middle of the song, and I was like "Oh, OK" And ever since then I've been listening to Queen.
Jan Hunt Yes, the way I know about Queen is by my friends...yea no... I was raised with the 80s and I fell deeply in love specifically with Queen. They are all so talented. Brian can sing like an angel and play guitar. Freddie sings like a God and can play the piano along with a little guitar. John can play bass like a boss and had amazing dance moves. Roger can sing and play the drums as well. Now, not that my parents go completely 70s-80s, they listen to today’s hits too. But out of my choice I go to Queen. Not stupid Justin Bieber. He can die... I’m 14. I love Queen. This isn’t hate btw I’m just saying...
This song gives me goosebumps and made me appreciate how talented they were and how Freddie Mercury left us too soon at least he left us a masterpiece that will be a hit for the rest of history
@@sharklostworld I get your point, but in my opinion Deacy is the best bass player. I just feel like I have some kind of invisible bond to him because I've been listening Queen since the day I was born❤

I'm 67 years old I've OWNED 4 copies of there first album! Classic ROCK at its BEST!
I saw Queen on their first U.S. tour promoting this album at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC in the early 70's as the opening act for Mott The Hoople!
#QUEEN WAS #SENSATIONAL!

I like their first album but my favorites are Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, and A Night At The Opera

Yes...yes you do!
Queens 4 Life Deacy please ;) With c
John: I'm not doing it Brian! You can't bring me back to the band w/o Freddie
Brian: *pulls out a piece of cheese on toast* What about now?
John: FINE! *takes cheese on toast* What do you want me to do?
Look at Deacy rocking the bass!! 🤘🏻
Ray Foster on Bohemian Rhapsody: It goes on forever! 6 bloody minutes!
*meanwhile over at the debut album*
"I'd pity your wife if you think 6 minutes is forever" 😂
Prophet’s song was 8 minutes long and it was on A Night At The Opera.
I pity your wife if you think 6 minutes is forever
Fun fact(s), not only is Ray Foster not even a real person; but Bohemian Rhapsody isn't even the longest song on A Night At The Opera. It gets beaten out by The Prophet's Song which is 8 minutes and 24 seconds long, as opposed to Bohemian Rhapsody which is 5 minutes and 54 seconds.
He was based off of a real person tho

Back when Roger looked like a chick . Today a bearded man looks like young Rogers father.
Dear Freddie, embodying a glittering otherworldly dark elfin beauty from an Edmund Dulac painting. He was incredibly beautiful and stylish.
I´m in love with the stunning bass notes by John Deacon at 05:12 ... Simply magic!!
Alberto Ballesteros stunning? It was a very simple pattern played over and over and then a walk down. Almost anybody can do it. You can have your opinion, but frankly, I think there’s much better out there than this particular bass line.
TheGeekFactor snob
@@TheGeekFactor Fuck off, it's a simple bass line, yet still delivers and it's just what the song needed. Not every bass solo has to be a shredded over the top impossible pattern.
@@TheGeekFactor yeah, a very simple pattern that DELIVERED like hell. It built tension with repetition, against Brian May's changing chords, and then gave some powerful resolution with its descending line towards thunderous lows. EXACTLY what the song needed. And that's stunning. Period.
@@TheGeekFactor Not every beautiful thing has to be super complicated. I think it's better not to over-do. Not my favorite bassline of Deacy, though. I like Dragon Attack better.
@Lil Charme Lol, I got into Queen during May of this year, I didn't know there was a movie coming out about them until July/August.
Friends? No. My parents got me into most of the music I listen to today and when I have children, they’ll be introduced to Queen for sure
This song gives me goosebumps and made me appreciate how talented they were and how Freddie Mercury left us too soon at least he left us a masterpiece that will be a hit for the rest of history
