The B side of Queen II is my all-time favorite collection of music period. Ogre Battle, Fairy Feller's Masterstroke, Nevermore, March of the Black Queen, and Seven Seas of Rhyne are all in my top 10 favorite songs.
@@commenterjosh2428 "funny how love is" written by Freddie also. its a great optimustic sing . Human Soul -a target in fight between Good and Evil forces... finally saves herself with the help of Love. the mightiest Force in Universe.
6:05 was an epiphany moment for me. Literally changed my life... I remember thinking at around 10 years old, "This is the perfect song... all music should feel like this."
Thanks for posting this. On the Queen channel, you cannot tell that March of the Black Queen segues into Funny How Love Is. I thought it was strange that March of the Black Queen ended so abruptly.
Best Queen song, just love how crazy it is yet fits together perfectly. You need to sit down and listen without any distractions to truly appreciate it.
Queen I and II are amazing albums. There are some decent songs to be heard through out Queens later work of course. But these are the two absolute essential albums I think. Period. All you really need are these two.
@@gameexplorer10 yes I've heard innuendo. I bought all their music by the way, so trust me. But yes, innuendo was a return to form il admit. And the title track, "innuendo" is masterful. Arguably their best song ever
KILLER QUEEN is still their best song ever. "She keeps a Moet & Chandon in a pretty cabinet, Let em eat cake she said just like Marie Antoinette. Building a remedy for Khrushchev & Kennedy etc etc...."
Lots of love for this album, but I haven’t seen much of nothing for Sheer Heart Attack which is my personal favorite. Brighton Rock, Tenement Funster, Flick of the Wrist and Lily of the Valley all on SHA. If you haven’t checked it out you will enjoy it immensely.
We should send modern day teens or children and those with bad music tastes to the 60s and 70s, where talk singing or non-melodic singing wasn't very greatly revelant, rock was the main compass, and where heavy metal, rap, many people and bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Cannibal Corpse, Maroon 5, Eminem, Shakir and many others didn't exist.
I wonder if it's because what always sounds to me like the tape was slightly sped up as the voices rise into "Funny How Love" and make it sound like the pitch is going "sharp". Just a thought...
Does anyone else feel a tad uncomfortable with the use of the n-word in March of the Black Queen. I feel like it could just as easily been replaced with “bit o’ sugar” instead. It kinda just keeps me from enjoying the song as much as I’d like.
This song came out in 1974. Keep in mind that, in England in that time, the word literally meant "Brown." It had no other meaning. It was an every day word, such as how "Fag" meant Cigarette in the 1950's. So yeah...
Every one asks 'What's your favourite Queen song?'. Bohemian Rhapsody? I say no. The March of The Black Queen!
Me : “I’m sorry Fred, it’s just- you know, it could always be in number two…”
You're 100% right.😊

You mean the Black side (slide A was the White)
the black side is basically a six-piece opera written by Fred!
Absolutely beautiful.
All written by Fred, with Bri only contributing Funny How Love Is (which I honestly consider the weakest song on the album).

Andy Haverland absolutely, the song gave me chill's when I was young, and still does today at age 50!!!
@@tinajohnson3689 Me too... "Funny how love is coming home, in time for tea"
Hmm.. I had the same feeling.
They're the best band ever!
miri :D I totally agree
@@maenastevenson5776 I'm glad that you think that 💞
miri :D because it’s true👑
Why is it that I’m just hearing this song for the first time? Been an avid fan since 1976. This song rocks
SHAME ON YOU
The flip side of the album has "White Queen". Have you heard that one?
the favorite song of my 15-year-old son. Is a a great song progressive and Brian May solos are perfect.

Same
Best Queen song, just love how crazy it is yet fits together perfectly. You need to sit down and listen without any distractions to truly appreciate it.
Again, it's the best concept album of all time, bar none !
perfect transition!
The sheer brilliance of this album will never be matched.
I totally wore this album out back in the '70's!
Thanks for sharing ; )
One of my favourite queen songs, funny how getting home in time for tea

j dragoon how is their later work only decent? Have you even heard Inneundo?

I mean like art is subjective I both love this one and another one bites the Dust the same cause I like everything queen
j dragoon My favorite Queen song is Nevermore from that album Queen II but my favorite albums are A night at the opera and Hot Space
I also think they're the two best albums
Master piece FOREVERRRRR
I concur 🎶
Unbelievable!!! This was Queen at their best!!!!
beautiful...
Max Mercury hi
Funny how love is such a brilliant song
Home, light off, earphones on ..enjoy every moment of this album
6:28 - 6:32... Tingling voice overlay. The complete side is impeccable Queen masterpiece🎶💛
Fantastic how they blend one song 🎵 to the next ❤
Queen were the Kings of transition, whether it was in a song, or going from song to song.
Think Freddie says it all in these lyrics, about how he was hurt as a child. Bless him for turning it all around x
He was touched. Thats why he became gay
Thanks 'groover'!
Basement, crappy littel record player - and even THEN it blew me away!
Obviously this is real art.
in my opinion the best song of Queen.
I am the last one in my family except for my grow children. Queen is and will always be my happiness way back in 1974❤
Mi preferida obra de arte, genial sin duda, mi pequeña conexión con Freddie, sublime!!!!♥️👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
The transition is so orgasmic
When they debuted, they were the envy of the music industry, but they didn't want to acknowledge their talent.
KILLER QUEEN is still their best song ever.
"She keeps a Moet & Chandon in a pretty cabinet,
Let em eat cake she said just like Marie Antoinette. Building a remedy for Khrushchev & Kennedy etc etc...."
Then why even comment here
Freedom of speech?

Picture this song as a Ballroom scene.
BEST QUEEN SONG BAR NONE

As one of those modern day teens, i agree
well this explains why the end was cut off
mister mercury sings here we stand with ringing ears fill our eyes with rock we know the queen black
06:07 ? Single version from...
6:07 is march of the black queen.
❤❤❤❤❤
No❤n word means nothing. This is a Queen 👑 👑👑👑 song 😂lol
The album should have ended here with Funny how love is. The perfect ending.
Seven seas of Rhys is such a banger though
I think this version is more stereo in quality
It is bohemian rapsody
the transition between the songs somehow makes me uncomfortable
SnipeZeroes why? It's perfect
You can hear the cut here but when you listen to the actual record its so unbelievably smooth its great
Not me!!!

what's wrong with that word? i mean, it's just about sugar in that sentence

When does he even say it?
@@gameexplorer10 You actually make a good point, you can barely hear it anyway.
