THIS, and the 1st 3 albums is what I think of when I think of Queen. When they were a rock band, a prog rock band. Sure the moment Killer Queen became a single, and the other members saw money pouring in for Freddie, that changed everything. And to me, pretty much everything up through Day at the Races, was pure gold. And yes, NOTW, and Jazz had moments...and all the other albums had bright spots, but it's hard to hit this level of brilliance repeatedly.
This might be my Favorite Queen album album these three tracks are a big reason why. How they blended all 3 to make them feel like one performance is great when one is listening to the album. Then you gotta flip to the B side.
The A side is Brighton Rock Killer Queen This amazing medley Now I’m Here After “Now I’m Here”, you flip to the B side I really want to get this album on vinyl

Such a great medley as this, stands on the segues of its three songs. You need that angry, aching beauty of that singular "feedback" note on May's guitar from Flick of the Wrist to properly introduce Lily of the Valley. Hard to imagine it without it. By the way, probably the most effective use of "feedback" sound (it mimics a feedback) on a rock album.

Imagine if they all played together
@@danfoss1535 You mean Queen and the Beatles? It would be one heck of a band!
@@sdgakatbk The only one who reminded me slightly of George playing guitar was Brian, such melodic feel and tone. They're all amazing
This beats anything else that came out in '74 and it had illustrious company ! A great time to be ten years old ! My parents screwed up a lot of things but encouraging me to listen to whatever I wanted to wasn't one of them !
The best music of all times
I bought this LP long time ago just for the cover and it became my all time favorite
Jan P It's queen's bests works
Don't get many segues in rock and these three tunes moulded in one are all brilliant
Another is by The Stranglers as they segue from Do You Wanna into Death and Night and Blood
Someone gave me this album when I was 5 or 6. It's been near the top of my favorite albums list ever since.
Lyrics:
My new purple shoes
Been amazin’ the people next door
And my Rock N’ Roll 45’s
Been enragin’ the folks on the lower floor
I’ve got a way with the girls on my block
Try my best be a real individual
And when we go down to Smokies and rock,
They line up like it’s some kind of ritual
Ooh, give me a good guitar,
And you can say that my hair’s a disgrace
Or just find me an open car
I’ll make the speed of light outta this place
I like the good things in life,
But most of the best things ain’t free
And this same situation, just cuts like a knife
When you’re young, and you’re poor, and you’re crazy
Ooh, give me a good guitar,
And you can say that my hair’s a disgrace
Or just find me an open car
I’ll make the speed of light outta this place
Dislocate your spine if you don’t sign, he says
“I’ll have you seing double”
Mesmerize you when he’s tounge-tied,
Simply with those eyes
Synchronize your mind and see
The beast within him rise...
Don’t look back!
Don’t look back!
It’s a rip-off
Flick of the wrist, and you’re dead, baby
Blow him a kiss, and you’re mad
Flick of the wrist, he’ll eat your heart out
A dig in the ribs, and then a kick in the head
He’s taken an arm, and taken a leg
All this time honey,
Baby, you’ve been had
Intoxicate your brain with what I’m saying,
If not you’ll lie in knee-deep trouble
Prostitute yourself, he says
“Castrate your hunan pride,
Sacrifice your leisure days,
Let me squeeze you ‘till you’ve dried”
Don’t look back!
Don’t look back!
It’s a rip-off
Work my fingers to my bones,
I scream with pain
I still make no impression
Seduce you with his money-make machine,
Cross-collateralize (Big time, money, money!)
Reduce you to a Muzak-fake machine
Then the last goodbye
(It’s a rip-off)
Flick of the wrist, and you’re dead, baby
Blow him a kiss, and you’re mad
Flick of the wrist, he’ll eat your heart out
A dig in the ribs, and then a kick in the head
He’s taken an arm, and taken a leg
All this time honey,
Baby, you’ve been had
I am forever searching high and low,
But why does everybody tell me no?
Neptune of the seas,
An answer for me, please?
The lily of the valley doesn’t know
I lie in wait wih open eyes,
I carry on through stormy skies
I follow every course,
My kingdom for a horse
But each time I grow old,
Serpent of the Nile,
Relieve me for a while,
And cast me from your spell and let me go
Messenger from Seven Seas has flown,
To tell the king of Rhye he’s lost his throme
Wars will never cease
Is there time enough for peace?
But the lily of the valley doesn’t know...
Did Roger actually go to a club/pub Smokies or poetic licence?
@@mancunited3845 I honestly have no idea
Masterpiece
I listen to 3 albums when I was very young, sgt pepper’s, never mind the Bollocks and this, it’s still amazes me, I’m 54
Thanks for the seamlessness!
the amount of bad bitch energy that Flick Of The Wrist has is insane
I love how well these songs link in together
A moment of silence for those who have not heard this album.
These 3 songs together though❤
The greatest Queen album of all time…. Queen two, not far behind… A night at the opera a close third, News of the World, A Day at the races and the rest in your order…. The Game gets a special mention… ❤️love to all Queen fans….
after sitting down listening at leisure, reading the lyrics , The Queen Group was Far Ahead of any other band period ! I am left with thinking , " how is it possible someone or a group of people can be so talented !" I was blown away years ago when i bought their LP'S, and I am Still Blown Away to this very moment ! WOW! WOW! & WOW!
This is really wonderful! I can not get enough,it could never be compared to anything we have nowadays. Queen is musical perfection! S2
I love Queen. I'd say they are musical excellence.
Simon and Garfunkel are musical perfection. Their songs are ethereal.
Best EP in my vinyl collection.
Isn't this something that a lot of people have never heard but isn't great that you have👍
Самый любимый трек, в этом альбоме ! Альбом конечно супер ! Queen вышли на мировую сцену ! А как он записан....?!!! Это постоянная баллада...!
Just got to searching, thinking: if only someone put these three songs together! AND SOMEONE DID!!! Thanks!!!!
@Shallex I meant on RUclips ;-)). Obviously I know they are together on the album :-). I wanted to sent someone a link to all three of them and I was happy I can send just one link :-D
Thankfully, they did! 😂
One of my favorites
Listened to them since the beginning, no other sound like them. R.I.P. FREDDY
Mercury was Zoroastrian. If you want to understand Lily of the Valley, you need that knowledge. BTW, Ahura Mazda has returned....
Edit to add: I am overjoyed to see younger people enjoying this beautiful music. As another commenter stated, Meravigliose!!!!
oooo i didnt know about that ,nice
great album one ov my all time bests
This and In The Laps Of The Gods (among others) are simply the best of this album
Beautiful combination
Based on this medley, i ordered the vinyl record of this album straight away. Absolute genius. My favourite Queen record!
Got to see Queen with Freddie. Chicago mezzanine small theater. He owned it. Panties and roses.
I never realised until today how good the guitar solo in tenement funster is, and i've been listening to this for 25 years
THIS, and the 1st 3 albums is what I think of when I think of Queen.
6:02
that transition tho 👌💗💗😳
This might be my Favorite Queen album album these three tracks are a big reason why. How they blended all 3 to make them feel like one performance is great when one is listening to the album.
Then you gotta flip to the B side.
The A side is
Brighton Rock
Killer Queen
This amazing medley
Now I’m Here
After “Now I’m Here”, you flip to the B side
I really want to get this album on vinyl
Sitting on my patio with a fire blasting this for all to hear.
This was the album that had just come out when I first saw them in concert. It was amazing!
I love this arrangement
Masterpiece
my fave queen songs ever.
1 tenement funster 0:00 - 2:47
2 flick of the wrist 2:48 - 6:04
3 lily of the Valley 6:05 - 7:50
7:30 I love that sound that Brian guitar makes so much and on different songs too it just sounds so good
Seeing early Queen was a blessing Freddie was the greatest showman him and Bowie nobody could ever recreate RIP
its a year now , i hope some of the pain has changed to great memories now ! Tenement Funster/ Shear Heart Attack still my Fav queen Lp ! "in my purple shoes" ;)
This has always been my favorite Queen song. I love the lyrics so much. 5:16 to 5:40 sounds like early Black Sabbath.
True!!
Except Freddie can sing.
Incredible songs! Fantastic! ☺
Well, this album is the BEST...amen.
Such a great medley as this, stands on the segues of its three songs. You need that angry, aching beauty of that singular "feedback" note on May's guitar from Flick of the Wrist to properly introduce Lily of the Valley. Hard to imagine it without it. By the way, probably the most effective use of "feedback" sound (it mimics a feedback) on a rock album.
what an unforgetibly amazing album, it is for sure, still in my collection
Thanks for this compilation of three songs from Sheer Heat Attack
dream theater cover this song and amazing
Tenement Funster: The father of I'm In Love With My Car and Fight From The Inside
Flick Of The Wrist: The father of Death On Two Legs
Lily Of The Valley: The adopted daughter that acts more mature than her siblings
Lily of the Valley is the really smart sibling that love of my life had to follow after and got solid B grades but that wasn't enough
Lily of the Valley: The kid that was kidnapped from her real family (namely Queen II)

MASTERPIECES!!
Simplemente Magnífico
Liked them best in the early days when they did rock and brought to us best songs and music ever. Beat concerts were small, in the theatres and not arenas. Music then changed to meet their masses. Yet they individually managed to shine
The transitions are so smooth I almost fainted
dabi devito it’s because it’s from vinyl, vinyl is the best format
@@kitkat4189 facts. I hate how listening on anything else has a break between songs
I just love this.
La verdad es mucho mejor escucharlas juntas.
I love this medley or Triad. It is so beautiful. It starts out in much the style of the Beatles kind of Sgt. Pepper's era. Thanks for your reaction.
Песни моей юности!
Благодарю Бога!
