For a man who, in the movie, said that he didn't play instruments, Freddie plays a darn good piano! He's a delight to watch and listen to. I love the way they interact and play off each other. Their individuality's evident while, at the same time, they become the group, "family" of which they've spoken. The 70s - those were high school & some college days for me. I'm amazed at the clothing. Oh, yeah, that was the 70's! MTV, you really made a mistake, pushing them off because of the one video! I'm loving the extra clips, interviews. Glad I watched the Golden Globes!...gotta get back to the screen - Somebody To Love.....

I love this older material so much! Not only beautiful vocals in their young life voices, but to see their young selves, so young & beautiful. Especially Freddie, it's amazing how much he changed from.1975 to 1985! He grew up, filled out a bit, worked out & got muscles. His voice changed too, still recognizable, but deeper & richer. In his 20s he had a clear, bell like quality. He never really lost it, but it changed.
It continues to amaze me how these 4 men found each other, polished their talents and gave us something to keep forever. Each person a genius in his own right. And, still going... Brian and Roger!

It's difficult this was almost 50 years ago. And yet it's still not only musically relevant, but musically impressive, emotionally moving, and creatively cutting-edge. Queen was truly ahead of their time--not just by years, but by centuries....
Don't Stop Me Now...a scientist proved that it is the happiest song ever. Did we need to be told that?? Who hears that song and doesn't immediately start smiling and singing along??
Imagine yourself at a queen concert. Seeing Freddie singing legendary vocals while Brian plays his guitar full Volume. Deacy plays the base while Roger plays his drums and everyone sings like there was no tomorrow. The fans sings along with the band and stomp and clap with the beat. That's my dream #QueenForeverAndEver
Badgers and Cheese on Toast. I was lucky to see them on the Works tour in London September 1984. It was as you described and even better. The best concert I have ever been to.
Badgers and Cheese on Toast ... I was extremely fortunate ... In Detroit, Michigan I saw Queen live in the 2,000 seat Ford Auditorium for the Sheer Heart Attack Tour on February 10th, 1975, The Night At The Opera Tour on February 12th 1976 at The 4,500 seat Masonic Temple, The Jazz Tour on November 10th, 1978 at Cobo Arena, The Game Tour 9.20.1980 at Joe Louis Arena and The Hot Space Tour August 6,1982 also at Joe Louis Arena. My older brother (I am #2 of 8 siblings) scored 5th row seats for the 1975 gig, and it was so incredible. In 1978 5 of us siblings and my Mom were at Cobo for the Jazz show. My Mom couldn't believe how awesome Queen was, and she kept talking about the light show for weeks. LOL Fantastic memories !!!
Freddie is the BEST preformer EVER!!! And I wish with all my heart that he was still here with us! There never was and never will be anyone as GREAT as FREDDIE!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
true. though you should just be sweeping up the emerald bar. he's the invisible man. and ps. to quote Billy Holiday "easy job if you can get it and if you get it , won't you tell me how"
You know what the best part is about the band Queen? Their music is timeless... so ahead of their time in the 70's and even the 80's. The music you heard then is even better when you hear it today. I guarantee the surge in sales after the movie Bohemian Rhapsody was tremendous and they are all people who either never heard them before or didn't realize how good they were. I was too young to see Queen in the 70's and an idiot for not seeing them in the 80's but we all have regrets. Every band member other than Freddie is underrated in my opinion. Thank you for literally decades of listening pleasure... the only music in a mix that I never fast forward through or skip.
They were way ahead of their time. But their music has spanned generations which is something most bands don't achieve. Wonderful footage. God bless you Freddie ❤
spanned generations.. the decades, and their varied/very genres. Knowing Why, i don't have to ask, and these are mere rhetoric, but nevertheless to quote their track "Jealousy" off the Jazz album "how?! how? HOW?" thank you for the blessings, My Gift to Harmony, Humanity, and He who's sexuality is beyond question to any true fan/appreciator/ of person blessed with eardrums; of art, music, or performing arts. (and probably beyond the question of anyone not asexual or literally pathologically disabled "senseless" i.e. blind and deaf). THIS ENTIRE BAND, including a guitarist doubling as a published Astrophysicist PHD. Drummer/Vocalist (which is difficult enough) but also "that guy on bass," as Deacon has been called, who both would shock/surprise, in the least, any layman with their Writing Credits alone. ICONS! IDOLS! LEGENDS! Each and everyone of them(ABSOLUTLY!) in their own right. GOD BLESS THESE MOTHERFUCKERS, I WISH I HAD A JEALOUS BONE IN MY BODY. Stunned Humility and Grace Abound, Ise Valentine
This is the era that I fell in love with Queen's fantastic music - such harmony, beautiful melodies combined with the heaviest hard rock one could imagine. Then the musicianship !!! Last not least, Freddie's unforgettable powerful voice and lyrics !!! They were the greatest band that England ever produced. 🌟🙌😘😜😍🌟💕
Then why didn't/doesn't England award them like they have other bands/singers that are not as good.
I love Queen in the 70's, it was real rock compared to the 80's. I love all albums from the first one to Jazz and the last one with Freddy!!! I don’t even remember which album I got my hands on first - the third or the first, but it was amazing. There were difficulties in understanding the great Night at the Opera, but the years of "driven" enjoyment for the rest of my life! Of course, and memories of youth, trips to the "flea market" for new albums and Queen as well. Hello everyone from Ukraine!
Brian is on fire on Liar. He is the spine of this song and Freddie brings it home with his powerful vocals. Both of them set on the foundational drumming and bass of Roger and John. What an incredible band. The basslline on this song truly shows how talented and instrumental John really is to the band.
isn't it astounding!? i cringe when i heard a documentary say "and that guy on bass(base), check my comment above, but writing credits alone speak for themselves regardless of who wrote what instrument part for who or what song . How Movies? God? Radio and DJs? Who? .. i mean who didn't grow up with queen and why didn't that parent get blacklisted by CPS. you can't even go to a sporting event without knowing these absolute professional legends
@@karenscigliano9787 He always sang in live performances because if you have one to sing lead and only two on backup is didn't work. I know this for sure because I did see them live every time they were near enough.
For me Freddie has never gone. Mostly because of these videos, they keep him so alive for me.I have all the Queen videos, all their videos and all their music, they will always be with me, I will never be without them and that is the way I want it ! Long live Queen and Freddie!
Queen cannot be compared to anything out there today....why? Because there is no comparison with exquisite, tantalizing, mesmerizing, outstanding, and extraordinary vocals and lyrics....and most of all....that distinctive voice!!! Freddie will always be legend!

i was well into my 30's when Queen first started their career. i was truly an ardent fan when they first called them selves Smile . They had by then called Queen. When they appeared on Top Of The Pops. i had become an ardent fan from then onwards. Watching their sheer determination and self belief was worth all the hurdles they faced. Then everyone was amazed when Bohemian Rapsody exploded onto our tv's with the lyrics and the first vidio i had ever seen.à Thank Goodness for Kenny Everett. The rest is history. i was so very lucky to have seen them in concert. Thank you Utube, for bringing the best Group ever. .
What a gem of a performance! So great to see them so young - & not knowing all the success they had ahead of them! They were all so phenomenal especially, Freddie! They only got better & better with time until they reached "icon" status! No one like them! My favorite group of all time! Outstanding! Thanks for this great look at our dear friends who will "be friends until the end"!
Queen, especially Freddie’s performances, are best appreciated in their live performances, rather than any other way. They have always been the best LIVE band ever! Now each of the RUclips concerts are worth more than ever....as I watch every single one I can find over and over!
I saw all the big ones more than once. I'm talking Zeppelin, Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd and many more. Queen 3 times and they were the best Live because of Freddie. He was amazing.
QUEEN - the only rock band with a perfect blending of voices, melodies, songs and with extra-ordinary talents. Iconic, legendary, unique and magnificent! #ForeverQUEENfan ♥️♥️♥️
Well, I can think of a few other bands that have a perfect blend of "voices, melodies, and songs." Beatles, Beach Boys, CSN, Chicago, Yes, Fleetwood Mac, and the Police. The Beach Boys recording engineer said that Brian Wilson's song writing was up there with Duke Ellington. Fleetwood Mac's Rumours sold over 40 million alone. Which is more than any other band. Beatles is second with St Pepper. And every band I mentioned had/has extraordinary talent, voices, melodies and songs, or they wouldn't have lasted very long.
In Liar, I love John's bowtie, Roger's sparkly vest, and all of Freddie's outfit. Deacy's solo is incredible, I mean, he didn't get enough of those. I understand he didn't like them, but still he needs more credit. For most of the solo the camera was focused on Roger. Not until the very end did Deacy get shown. That's not right. I love every member but Deacy needs more of the spotlight and credit. Also, GO DEACY GO!!
Liar still gives me goosebumps! First time I heard it when I was 16 years old.I am 60 now.I appreciate the talent this group had when I grew up.Brian May,guitar virtuosus.Freddie, the voice that can"t be duplicated ever!! RIP!!
Like you, I grew up with queen, and to experience every step as it happened was amazing. You can’t get that over to people who weren’t there. I remember trying to extract the meaning from the lyrics. Learning all the words from the album sleeves. The music was somewhere I could go to be happy.
Divine Freddie! He was / is a sort of Muhammad Ali in the world of music, on stage of the XXth century! Irreplaceable! Unforgetabble! Invincible! The Greatest! The one and only!
All the guys in Queen were so incredible! Twice I've seen them! Best band ever/ I also have seen Aerosmith 7 times/ Kansas 8 times. All great, but Queen was the best. They were The Love of my life and still are
Absolutely incredible how Freddie can change his voice in each song, to the point he can seems a totally different singer in each one ! And John makes such a good work !
I think John Deacon loved Freddie so much and was simply devasted when Freddie died and that's why he no longer wanted to perform any more. Just a thought.
Glenda Mcnear YES he did not want play no more without Freddie. So Roger also loved deep Freddie is the one use to visit Freddie more than nobody when he was sick! He died he has a statue with Freddie in garden if his house
Yeah I think he was pretty much done and felt the music had died with Freddie when he died. He was just lost, because Freddie was so flamboyant and brought the music to life. 👍
I've seen Brian and Roger in 2016 in Brussels,my ex girfriend bought me the ticket.that's the only good thing i remember she did 😀 but also the best gift i could ever recieve
Love Freddie, and miss his incredible voice. If you are a big 70's Queen fan find Brighton Rock and listen to Dr. Brian May absolutely rip that red guitar. Homemade by the way, from the fireplace mantel in his parent's home.
Absolutely, with cutting edge (at the time) technology, the Old Lady is the most valuable musical instrument on the planet. No other musician ever made his own instrument and used it as his primary instrument throughout his career. Besides being most valuable, the Red Special also has great sentimental value, since his dad helped him make it.
@RoseCake Ah, sorry if it sound weird but I checked your channel: so you can speak Spanish, cuz I speak Spanish as my primary language and it's nice to meet people that speak my language... And I hope you can animate for Disney in the future 👍

Ahh, The Golden Era of Music !!! Loved every bit of it! Well, this is what success looks like, even after 45+ years they are just getting more popular day by day!Undoubtedly The best band in the History! All four of them Geniuses! Freddie Fabulous as always, Brian the smart one as always, Roger The most attractive and fun one , and John the Genuine one! And at last all of them Perfect as always! Also I love that part from 16:29 to 16:34 Ahhh Roger ♡_♡ and Brian's adorable smile
Totally agree...I had to buy the DVD of this concert just for that song. I knew of queen but was limited 80s girl. Listening to it all now. OMG. I'm in awe of his talent.
The 70’s Freddie so different looking than the 80’s Freddie........but he looked great either way. I really loved his hair and one piece tights he wore back then! ❤️ Queen!!
Fantastic especially the little white shorts sexy or what. No one had a body as beautiful and sexy as Freddie Mercury. That's why he is a legend and always will be, love you forever and always Freddie 💞💞💞😍😍😆😘😘😘
Way to transport me back to High School aged 13. ;D Freddy was such a good-looking man. What an incredible voice. He certainly had the front, from the very beginning. No wonder the band hired him. They were great. Brian May's sound was always so distinctive. I'm glad I entered my teens with such great music on the radio and TV. We were lucky to experience it.
2.022. Extraño a Freddie.
Queen is definitely the greatest all-around rock band of all time. There's no touching them. Considering that they were up against Zappa and Zepplin and Ozzy and the Dead I'd say they held their own. Doc Brian is still kicking up dust here on the Tube. Thanks, Doc, thanks, Roger, you guys have helped mold my life...

@@firstandlastswagman269 I have my own theory to understand how a man who loved very much a girl. A man that was living with her since 6 years and thought to married her....and suddenly became a gay. Something hard has happened. Something that he couldn't fight to. Something that he even couldn't talk about to anyone. To protect the people that he loved. Something or "someone" that forced him to become a gay. You'll find the answer, if you asked for.

Best front man ever period. Saw them in 1982, best concert I have ever seen.
true. though you should just be sweeping up the emerald bar. he's the invisible man.
and ps. to quote Billy Holiday "easy job if you can get it and if you get it , won't you tell me how"
Michael Jackson is the best performer ever. But Freddie is the BEST Rock singer ever, without a doubt
SOOOOOO TRUE 😅
I saw queen + Adam Lambert back in 2014.
J K - Saw them in 1980. Deaky was my boy! All master musicians and composers.
I'm just discovering them. Cant get enough of them.
The fact it’s the only music you listen to makes your opinion worthless
12.22 Rogers drum solo! WOW! I've always known he was a brilliant drummer-but listening through decent head phones, damn! Hes awesome.

He will also live forever as the greatest frontman of any rock band ever.

They were way ahead of their time. But their music has spanned generations which is something most bands don't achieve. Wonderful footage. God bless you Freddie ❤

They were the best rock and roll band ever. Extremely talented.

What the hell r u commenting on. England, award?
I love Queen in the 70's, it was real rock compared to the 80's. I love all albums from the first one to Jazz and the last one with Freddy!!! I don’t even remember which album I got my hands on first - the third or the first, but it was amazing. There were difficulties in understanding the great Night at the Opera, but the years of "driven" enjoyment for the rest of my life!
Of course, and memories of youth, trips to the "flea market" for new albums and Queen as well.
Hello everyone from Ukraine!
Hope your safe. We are cheering for your country. Hopefully this horrible war ends soon.

the way he sings "love of my life" melts my heart.. Ah Freddie..we miss you..
Me too. He hits every note perfectly. 🥰 I also love how Brian plays on guitar
Brian is on fire on Liar. He is the spine of this song and Freddie brings it home with his powerful vocals. Both of them set on the foundational drumming and bass of Roger and John. What an incredible band. The basslline on this song truly shows how talented and instrumental John really is to the band.
All my thoughts exactly--- plus Deacy actually sings and shares the mic w/Freddie on LIAR😳 😉
isn't it astounding!? i cringe when i heard a documentary say "and that guy on bass(base), check my comment above, but writing credits alone speak for themselves regardless of who wrote what instrument part for who or what song . i was well into my 30's when Queen first started their career. i was truly an ardent fan when they first called them selves Smile . They had by then called Queen. When they appeared on Top Of The Pops. i had become an ardent fan from then onwards. Watching their sheer determination and self belief was worth all the hurdles they faced. QUEEN - the only rock band with a perfect blending of voices, melodies, songs and with extra-ordinary talents. Iconic, legendary, unique and magnificent! #ForeverQUEENfan ♥️♥️♥️
De acuerdo contigo.
No, not one !!!

Freddie’s is still loved. 2024 💖💖💖
Michael Shaw

@@firstandlastswagman269 I have my own theory to understand how a man who loved very much a girl.
A man that was living with her since 6 years and thought to married her....and suddenly became a gay.
Something hard has happened.
Something that he couldn't fight to.
Something that he even couldn't talk about to anyone. To protect the people that he loved.
Something or "someone" that forced him to become a gay.
You'll find the answer, if you asked for.
The first album is still my favourite, they were in the groove & one could tell they were coming ! Hard to believe this album didn't move the needle too much.
I will always and forever love Freddie Mercury.
