- Here's my review of the Lian Li Galahad II Trinity 240 SL Inf all-in-one CPU cooler. In this video I'm talking about the highlights and features of the Galahad 2 Trinity and the various ways that Lian Li has upgraded the cooler as well as showing the options for installing it and the different looks you can get with the swappable pump covers.

The Trinity Coolers have three different cover options:
Dazzle Mode offers a completely diffused surface for both the outer and inner ring.
Sink Hole replaces the inner part with an infinity mirror.
Duo-Infinity is an aluminum outer ring with a double infinity mirror inner rings and a Lian Li logo at the center.
But under the hood a number of things have been upgraded to improve performance:
- The skived fins on the copper plate have been upgraded and improved to prevent build up of gunk and enhanced cooling
- The copper plate seal has been upgraded to improve coolant flow through the system
- The tubes have been widened
- The radiator is designed with 45-degree rotary fittings to make the routing of the tubes and installation easier.
It's worth noting that the GALAHAD II TRINITY PERFORMANCE model offers the best performance out of all the models, with a faster pump (4,200 RPM vs 3,200RPM on the other models) and a double wave fin design radiator offering better heat dissipation. My main focus in this video though is the Infinity model because it's better looking and suits my build.

The reverse flow fans really clean things up! Planning to use a few of those and the LCD ones released later this year in my build.
Am I blind or did you not mention the case? It kind of looks like the AiO is blowing out the side and I can't recall seeing that before.
@@NinjaMonkeyPrime I believe that case is the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini Snow if I was to take a really good guess. Only because I’ve been wanting to buy that case

I don't mind applying my own paste. I feel a lot of us take off the factory stuff anyways and apply better paste. I'm going to pull the trigger on a new Infinity Galahad. I saw another review and the thermals on this were outstanding.

Should be the same usual difference between various Asetek pumps which is just about nothing.
Does this mean in your current build you have 3-pack Lian Li fan controller and the “original” AIO fan controller?
Before I start my rant: Are you using L-Connect and would you recommend it? I'm kinda reluctant to sync up with my board, since that would mean letting Mystic Light back onto my PC. But my Fractal-case does have a simple RGB-controller built in, so I'm thinking about using that instead of any sort of RGB-suite. All the ones I tried (including OpenRGB) were, more or less, buggy messes.
Re those paste-stickers: Why would you ever want to use those things? Seems like another step of fiddling around during an installation process that's fiddly enough, as it is.
When I swapped my CPU a few weeks ago, I had to lift the waterblock back up and re-install/re-grease after initially installing it, so I did get to see what the X-pattern I used for my paste had turned into with the block tightened down. I was a bit surprised, actually, that it had resulted in (what looked like) perfect coverage. All I did was lay down a simple X, making sure the two lines forming the X reached out all the way to all four corners of the IHS and that they weren't too thick.
I'm supposed to receive my 360 Trinity (basic version) today and I'm annoyed enough as it is because of all the wiring/cable routing I'll have to do to swap AiOs. I'm *pretty* sure I won't be using that sticker - especially since I'll be using Arctic MX-6 this time, which is supposed to be on the thicker side and relatively hard to spread by hand/spatula.
Are you able to connect the aio into the triple pack controller?
So would the controller with the normal infinity 3 pack be better to hook up the aio and the fans?
If I wanted to get this cooler and 4 additional UNI fans, would I be able to use ALL the rgb via the splitter box that comes with the cooler? Or would I need the splitter box that comes with the 3-pack?

Ordered mine on caseking, the 240 with inf. fans and mine didn't come with the thermal paste apply thing nor the spatula.. should I be worried?
Also, the instructions in the manual just state AM4 bracket, despite the 7800x3d beeing AM5, I mean, it still fits but weird since it launched recently..
And I'm also still not sure if I routed everything correctly.. I added one SL-INF Fan, plugged everything into the controller, my MB is showing 1 chassis fan and AIO Pump.. this is very confusing.
And on top of that i can't update the Trinity firmware to 0.7 in L-Connect 3..
I'm super overwhelmed, any help would be appreciated.
hello, quick question. So you plugged the rgb of the fans and the pump header into the original controller that comes with the triple pack, so where would you plug the fan power into since the controller uses a flat connector? Would that go into the motherboard?
I have been considering the SL Infinity fans and thought I might as well replace my AIO for one that has the same limited wiring fans. While looking at the document for the Galahad II SL INF the hub that comes with it "is not compatible with the 3-pack, only the single fans." Can you provide more detail on how you got, what appears to be, multiple triple packs connected with the AIO?
He mentioned that he did not use the controller that was provided with the AIO. He hooked the AIO up to another type of controller that is provided with Lian LI fans (probably the one provided with the triple pack fans.)
regarding the thermal paste application is it necessary to use the sticker,could applying the paste directly to the cpu and spreading so you know the cpu is all covered be better ?

Hey im lookin into getting this AIO for my o11 vision case but i would like the LCD screen the 280 mm AIO has it but it won't fit in the o11 vision only 240mm AIO Fit in the back. Do you think that they will possibly release the LCD selling separately or the 240mm AIO with the sl fans and the LCD screen by feb or March of 2023?? That's when im gonna buy my parts. Sorry if the questions seems a little dumb im getting to know more about all this PC stuff and wanna have at least some hope for that LCD screen🤣🤣🤣
I'm not really into RGB, but I do like their cabling solutions. How would you rate the fans overall performance and quietness compared to Noctua?
U cant compare it.. i have lian li fans now.. and before i had beQuiet fans... Trust me when i say.. lian li fans are loud compared to beQuiet and Noctua

They’re releasing a LCD version with a screen in the block in mid September will come with the 3 types of fans (rgb stock ones, infinity fans and performance no rgb). Price will be 250 usd
Did you use only the 3-pack controller or only the AIO controller on this build? I'm planning on buying one 3-pack of normal SL-INF 120, two reverse bladed, one normal and the 240mm Galahad Infinity AIO. Would I be able to use only the 3-pack controller with this configuration? i have a question on this. So i am planning on building a pc using the lian li o11 dynamic mini, and planning to put the same aio like yours. My question is when you set it up like that does it create a intake current or is it exhaust. And if it is intake, do i need to get reverse fans or can i just install it the way you did. Thank you!

What if we use the performance model with SL-INF fans? I would like to see some reviews on that tbh, the pump for the performance mode has higher rpm which in general should make it better at cooling, plus sl-inf fans aren't that bad.
I’m trying to put this together right now. Was going to go for a push/pull with the performance fans out of sight and the SL infinity’s on the front, but I haven’t got enough 30mm screws to have both sets on fans on the radiator, so I’m just gonna go with the infinity fans for now. Only thing I’m concerned about is if I NEED to have a fans plugged into a header on the MB, or if I can just daisy chain them and plug them into my L-connect device with the rest of my fans🤔

Will it be possible for you to let me know how's the performance with the infinity fans? I'm thinking about doing the same, either with the infinity fans or with the new AL v2 fans. Both fans look amazing but from the datasheets the ALs have higher performance.
@@Painatas finished my build earlier today, just been having some problems booting up the PC as I didn’t have access to another PC to download windows. Once I get it booted up and playing I will let you know how I get on performance wise with the fans👍🏽

The SL-Inf are beautiful but the problem is that inside the O11 Air mini when you mount the side panel the infinite mirrors disappear behind the colored edge around the crystal and the beauty of these fans is lost... in fact it is shown in all the videos always and only without side panel...

Hey I just got this setup but just wondering could you use the original sl infinity controller too power the pump or would you need too use the AIO controller? Im having dram light issues at the moment and during boot the pump doesn’t light up

The instructions and the included cables are stupidly confusing....For anyone who gets this: ALL of the cables from the CPU mount except for the USB cable go to the controller, but you have to use the included adapter to do so, whch is stupid considering the controller already existed....Lian-Li created another controller, to control the already existing fans, in exactly the same way, but they're not compatible with existing controllers because they use a previous gen connector and controller.. My next paycheck is going to the Corsair Link system...I don't know what Lian-Li were thinking, but this is just stupid and even more of a cable mess than was anticipated,,..I had to get an internal USB splitter for this BS!!
I’m waiting for the performance version and pair that with the p28 fans the only rgb should be the pump but I can turn that off I’m over the rgb tbh lol

I thought AIO should be tubes down or radiator at the top of case (above the CPU). This config will have issues in time with air collecting at the top where the tubes are.

Not overly impressed with the build quality. The cooler works good, but the caps on the pump head are crap.
The center ones barely hold on and they also vibrate from the pump which creates a horrible hum. The outside cap struggles to fit on when using the center infinity mirror cap. Also, there's some weird imperfection on the center cap of the infinity mirror, and so this is "mirrored" all the way in.
Another complaint which I find strange that no reviews ever mention; Everybody goes on about how Lian Li's wiring is fantastic and less cable clutter, and yet this AIO is an absolute dogs breakfast for it. You've got 3 hard-wired cables to contend with and 2 optional cables. However, if you use the 2 optional cables, you still have 3 cables to keep tidy. Just like NZXT's AIO, it is a nightmare for cable management. I find this extremely strange when they go to all of the effort of eliminating cable clutter with the Unifans.
