- In this video I'm showing off the reverse blade version of the @LIANLIHQ SL120 Infinity fans. These fans are essentially identical to the original SL-INF 120 fans, except the fan blades have a reversed design that switches the airflow. This means that you can put them into your case as intake fans, but still get to see the brilliant infinity mirrors and the RGB accents.
The Lian Li Uni Fan SL-Infinity Reverse blade fans are available to buy in single packs, which means you'll need to buy a controller separately (or a triple pack of the standard fans) in order to get an easy installation and simple wiring.

So glad I held out on these fans until now. Now I'm definitely going get these. Hopefully Lian Li will do this for all their fans.

@@resinds.p4898 did you watch the video? It’s the same Lian Li fans just with reverse blade. It makes it so that intake orientation has the infinity mirror side showing. (The back side of the fan has the logo, and some people don’t like that).
These were the last piece of my new build. Lian Li announced them the exact day i wanted to buy either the Infinity or the Unifan V2. I bought six of the Reversed and they arrived two days ago and will do their job in a O 11 Dynamic Evo.
I just bought 3 3 packs and a single pack of the infinity fans and now im going to be returning 2 of the 3 packs to get that clean look
Thanks Prawn! Glad I saw this vid. Also glad that I only bought ONE of the 3~pack inf standard version fans for my new PC build (I can use that bank in an exhaust configuration on the AIO). Now I will buy 6 more of the reverse-flow units, and make 2 banks of 3 fans each for intakes on the bottom and side of the case. As you pointed out, now all of the inf mirrors will be visible when you look into the case! 👍👍
Just working on my first build and glad I saw your video. The hyte y60 case compliments these nicely and I installed the rgb 5v and power that came with the single packs without realizing. Thanks to this explanation am now using just one triple pack controller for all 4 zones.

Really wish they came in a 3 pack as for a lot of cases (o11 type for lack of a better term) you are likely going to have more of these fans than their standard counterpart. Looking at my case I have 6 intake and 4 exhaust with 3 of those exhaust being on my AIO. Compared to other fans in the “uni fan” space, the D30 from Phanteks which released a few months back sell 3 packs of the reverse fans and the ThermalTake SWAFANs come with a replaceable blade that allows you to reverse the rotation. I hope Lian Li realizes this and starts to offer these in 3 packs since, for a lot of users, it’s going to be a lot more expensive to buy the single fans and then have to shell out extra for their controller if you want to buy into their ecosystem. Just seems like a pretty big oversight IMO.
Hi m8, I recently bought the 6x reverse fans and the three-fan pack, along with a single fan from Lian Li. The three-fan pack includes a controller that can control up to 4 sets of 4 fans each (or in my case, 3 sets of 3 fans + one individual fan). Each individual fan costs €30 in Germany, while the three-fan pack costs €100, which is reasonable considering the extra controller. I know you mentioned interchangeable fan blades, but I'm fine with them as they won't be changed inside the case anyway.

@@Henji96 yep the 3pack includes a controller with 4 cables to connect a max of 4x 4 fans. You dont need the cables that are included with the other fans (bc of the daisy chain)

If i plan to build 4 exhaust fans and 6 intake fans how many reverse fans will I need and how many regular fans will i need from lian li infinity set? I'm confused. What I'm seeing is since I need 6 intake fans I will buy 6 reverse fans and then 4 regular fans for exhaust. Is this correct?@@KN-wy3td
just built my first dream rig less than a month ago. neo qube 2 infinity mirror front panel case, lian li sl-inf fans, deepcool infinity mirror AIO. was a bit bummed that the bottom fans had their mirror facing down and therefore hidden, so of course they release the product to fix my gripe AFTER ive already bought and built. such is life. already ordered 6 reverse fans but have to wait until September for them to arrive. perks of living in straya :\

@@almighal 3 reverse fans on the bottom and 3 on the side set to intake, 3 non-reverse fans attached to the top-mounted radiator set to exhaust
Considering the fan blades design/count are different, a sound profile comparison would be much appreciated (normal comparison, using both as push comparison, using both as pull comparison). Also actual testing of performance in the above mentioned instead of relying on actual specs would be great too!
Feels super odd that they have different cfm values (Reverse being 63.6 and 61.3for the originals) when all they look like is the mirror and the aluminium piece being swapped around! I hope they decide to bring out a 3-pack of the reverse fans too

I'm actually in the process of very feasibly phasing out corsair fans out of my system.
And that right there is a loaded phrase, what I mean by that is I'm running a Thermaltake core P8 which if I'm using 120s only, would use upwards of 18 fans. Rather daunting experiment if you think about it.
Lian Lis being considerably cheaper per fan or set and having the reverse fans... Aside from expense, This really isn't going to be a hard decision
The problem with the SL-Inf fans in the Air mini is that when you mount the glass panel, the colored band surrounding it covers the mirror of all fans and basically reduces the optical effect of these fans. (In fact, all the videos found on RUclips they show the case without a panel mounted). I tried to mount the three at the top with 15 mm spacers so as to make them visible beyond the edge of the panel and the result is really beautiful. Unfortunately, by doing this it is no longer possible to mount the rear fan and the two front without modifying the case. The only two solutions would be to mount only two 120mm above and two 120mm below, or find a way to mount a single 140mm fan in the center of the front panel and place the rear one slightly lower.

Rather than selling reverse fans separately, it would be better to have swappale and reversible fan blades like the THermaltake swafans.

It's a nice option, not sure how hung up on it I am personally. The RGB ring on the hub of the standard flow fans is quite nice. I have a build in a Dynamic Evo that had ten fans, but I'm just finishing a custom loop using an EK Mana G2 distro plate. Been a journey gathering all the little bits and bobs necessary. I'm within a week of final assembly and testing.

Why didn't Lian Lin come with Reverse model when they first released infinity model is not quite clear !?! Obviously, Reverse fans do not utilize some new technology. Why does Lian Li ship single packs with a cable that does not allow the fan to be connected to their controller? It is counterintuitive to me ! It seems that, as of now, black version of Reverse fans is not available? What is the problem with black plastic? Some chinese factories closed due to Covid?
Anyway, this video clearly shows improved esthetics of the final build when Reverse fans are used. I thinkn it is a Must Have upgrade !

Got my eye on these though I was thinking about doing a mixed config;-
3x RF Infin 120's on bottom intakes,
3x RF SL120's or if they'd made them some RF P28's intaking from the motherboard tray wall,
A Gallahad 2 Inf 360 AiO in the top as exhaust,
1 single fan rear case exhaust using the 120 that comes with the motherboard (Asrock Taichi Carrera - fan matches the board asthetics and would not be hooked into a controller for obvious reasons),
Not sure if almost all of that could be done the same controller though. Idea would be to try and get slightly more subtle RGB than most but keep the clean reverse flow looks. Failing that I'll just run 6 RF Infin 120's on the intakes.

The blade shape is different so it can flip the airflow direction
The new corsair fans look really cool. Maybe you should check them out one dsy unless you have already its kinda similar to this with the daisy chain but corsair said their fans arent daisy chanined so idk what fans to get these or the corsair ones and compare them

they are unavailable everywhere :( they only have the standard ones which are pointless since the mirrors are facing the case....

I have the Galahad ii Trinity sl-inf 360, six reverse fans (single pack) and one regular fan. i want to put them in the 011d evo. AIO in the top, 3 reverse fans in the side, 3 reverse fans in the bottom and one regular fan the back.
But which contoller should i use? The AIO comes with one, but i think its not compatible.

you may have to use both hubs, check if the galahad aio is compatible with the l connect 3 hub
If you want to run a single hub, you will need to get the hub with the single flat connector along with a total of 4 flat connector adapters. Daisy chain the 3 sets of 3 (top/cooler, side, and bottom) and connect to controller, then connect the back exhaust fan with the last (4th) flat connector. You can the. Connect the AIO (if you get one) to the other slot in the controller. Hope this helps.
@@marcusschubert9544 yes, I want to run it with a single hub. But the reverse version is only sold as single packs and no controller and no flat cables are included. I don't know if Lian Li sell them as a accessory kit. I don't want to purchase another regular three pack just to get the controller and cables. That would be so stupid.

If I buy 3 reversible fans and connect the cable to a controller from the original SL 120 infinity fans (nonreversible) will it work with that?
This is frustrating in that, great spend another $180on fans, then what do I do with the other $180 I spent on fans? Looking back at it I was totally surprised while installing the fans why didn't Lian Li think to put the mirror on both sides? Like these are $30 dollar fans. But to be fair the pictures do show the two different sides.

Will be compatible if you have a 3-pack and 3 reverse blades. Also remember they make an ARGB cable kit if you ever need adapters.

@theprovokedprawn i am so torn between going for the corsair h150i aio and fans setup or these lian li ones. the only thing thats tempting me more with the corsair is the icue software as to me it seems a lot easier to customise the rgb etc. does the lian li have a straightforward customisation set up like the corsair? if so do you know how it compares
the fan blade count is different.. 9 in the reverse fans, 7 in the traditional.

I’m doing a build in Liam li infinity black and the bottom intake and the side exhaust are reversed but the one mounted up on the side for intake is a regular 3 pack infinity fans with original controllers! Hey Guy I have a question for you but I am not sure u can help me. I have a v1 tech back plate for my video card with ARGB but I wanted to know if there is a way to connect it to the lian infinity box connector so I can match up all the colors in my case and delete Asus Arua software. I would really appreciate it if you have any ideas since you do a lot of videos about lian li fans.

If I have the Galahad 2 LCD SL-INF and 7 other fans (6x Reverse Intake & 1x Rear Fan) I still need another Control Hub in my PC and can’t use the one from the Galahead 2 package? That means I need 2 separate controllers 1 for the radiator including the fans from the aio and 1 for the case (in my case 7) fans? Please reply if I understood that correctly? So I can’t pair all fans on the galahead 2 LCD control hub?

The controller can manage 16 fans total. 4 fans per group, per channel. So yes, that'll work.

Does a single triple pack contains enough cables to connect 12 fans, divided into 4 groups,to the controller?
The standard triple pack has four of the flat connectors included. So yes, depending on how you're grouping them.

Reverse blade fans push the air in a different direction. So if you put them on the bottom of your case with the fans blades facing upwards then that's intake but if you did the fans with normal fans that would be exhaust

Trying to plan my new build also using a Lian Li Galahad II cooler . I am getting confused as I assume the cooler fans are exhaust and the reverse fans your using for intake ? can anyone advice me please ?
