  • Today James presents 2 solid weeks of work - testing a variety of AIO coolers we received in our labs in the last couple of months. This isn’t a group test of every cooler we think is good on the market. We have reviewed many coolers already from EKWB, Corsair, Deep Cool and many others in previous months. The plan for future AIO reviews is to show performance data from both AMD and Intel platforms and that coolers we have previously tested on AMD will be added to the Intel charts periodically as it takes a lot of work/time.
    So what we present today in this video is a round up of some other coolers we received in recent months that we haven't been able to test yet - are there any hidden gems here? James shows all.
    Which is the quietest cooler? Which is the best value? Which performs the best? All this and more will be answered today! Read more here: bit.ly/47vGRw1

      Most of those have been covered in previous reviews on our AMD test systems.
      We are moving towards testing upcoming coolers on both AMD and Intel test platforms so you will see them compared with these in the future.
      It's a huge amount of work getting the test data from just eight coolers so we can't possibly cover everything.
      Artic have a new cooler coming out soon, we will cover that, so check back.

    I really like how Lian Li thought about using those covers on the GA II Trinity Performance version, some newer products from their competitors don't have that and I think they should learn. It's just a piece of plastic, but very pleasant. I have bought the SL-Infinity 120-Triple Pack from Lian Li before and those fans are absolutely gorgeous!

    Very good video, I wish you would make review on the new less known coolers, even some of the budget versions that seem to be popular with some people. So want a lcd cooler or case, but they can be quite pricy and the cooling performance is often not what you would expect. Often times just the simple fan setup without or with RGB does the job just as well or better. The Lian Li is also what I would like, however they are quite pricy due to the brand name and of course the quality.

      I've used a cheapo Corsair H60 V2 back in the day when AiOs started to become popular. That was on an i5 4670K when that CPU was new, so that's how long ago we're talking. Used that thing for 6 years continually, then the PC it was in sat in storage for over a year. When I disassembled that PC last year, the cooler still had liquid in it and there were no signs of leakage - either on the AiO or anywhere inside the case. I wouldn't use it any longer since the rubber fittings at the end of the hoses had developed cracks/rips, but leakage was not a problem on that thing. And that's on one of the earliest AiOs and one that was around €60 when I bought it. Seeing how most manufacturers will give you a five year warranty, I wouldn't worry too much about any of this stuff.

    I'm sorry if I missed this but what CPU did you use?
    Does the lian li software allow you to set separate fan curves for each fan.
    Thanks again for all the hard and time consuming work.

    • @KitGuruJames
      @KitGuruJames 8 месяцев назад +1

      The liquid freezer II will be added to the test data when we complete the switch over to testing on both Intel and AMD platforms.
      The Lian Li coolers both outperform the LF2 in raw thermal performance at high fan speed.
      I think you can configure fan curves individually with the Lian Li software, however I didn't spend much time familiarising myself with that part of the software as I was restricted by how much time I could spend on each cooler for this video.

    Lian Li GA II LCD 360 Asetek pump? Oh dear, how sad, nevermind. Kudos to companies that recuse themselves and simplify my choosing. Lian Li GA II Trinity I'd have bought BEFORE Lian Li invented Unifans, today NO WAY!. I'll keep an eye on Valkyrie, I quite like the pump aesthetic and with the sd card reader the whole thing looks like something from 10-15 years ago. It'd go well with a Rampage IV Extreme for example (The pages for it updated just last week!). A bit nutty perhaps, but different. To round up, there is NOTHING here I would buy, barring the Syn for a vintage build.
    For me this was worth it for the introduction to Valkyrie. It is always good to see new entrants to the DIY PC space. Thanks for the hard work on this one, James. Untidy wiring in this day and age is silly. The LCD 360 shames even Lian Li's own other product, though Trinity does tidy up with those covers, shame about the LCD 360 pump though; I try not to buy stuff from egergiously anti-competive companies with dubious business morals.
