Hey, Phill! Passed the exam on Saturday due in LARGE part to your excellent guidance! I would have been in hot water if I had stuck solely to the PMP prep course I purchased (by someone else before I knew about your programs, unfortunately) - that course didn't explain ANYTHING about all of the interdependencies, relationships, etc. between the ITTOs, processes, and tasks. My exam focused very heavily on these - layers of understanding had to be folded in to the majority of the questions. I would have never been ready if it weren't for your commitment and generous sharing of knowledge. Thank you!!!
Phil! Thanks for posting all these wonderful videos on You Tube. I utilized your videos to help study for the PMP - which I took and passed this week with 5 Above Targets! I really appreciated this Mainline Process Flow video, your EAC/ETC videos, your scheduling (crit path) videos and all the Savage on Saturdays. Thanks so much!
Just passed the PMP exam yesterday. I have to say that this video helps me a lot! There are so many questions related to change management, when to estimate the impact of the change, when to request it, what to do with approved changes. Every time I will think about this video
Congratulations Jo Ann! Woohoooo!!!! Well done and thanks for the feedback! Enjoy your CAPM status and build on it. Its a great one to have! Study some MS Project too and add to the mix to maximize your knowledge.
Hi Phill C. Akinwale, YOU ARE THE MAAAAAAN!!! Thanks to you I am a CAPM!!! Your videos are the best!!! All of them!!! When I will get my PMP I will definitely buy your books!!! You are a Genius!!! God bless you and your family man!!! Best regards, Rafael Leal from Costa Rica
Hi Phil. I passed my PMP exam this morning with 4/5 above targets. I did a boot camp with a company I won't name that was less than impressive, their online tools were also sub par (incorrect practice test answers, automated voice slide deck, etc). I found your videos in the last week and it helped put so much of my studying of the PMBOK guide into perspective. If anyone out there is looking for the best materials to go with, subscribe to Praizion and utilize Phil's tools. As a side note I spent 107 VERY dedicated study hours over 30 days following a 35 hour boot camp and was confident I would pass the exam....still nervous when I hit the "Exam Complete" button though.
THE MAN OF THE HOUR! Congratulations Eric! It sure must feel awesome knocking the exam out! Thanks for dropping some gold for our subscribers. Hey what's your email address? Thanks Phil for providing so much great content. I must say that of all of your videos that I watched this one helped things make so much more sense. I watched it multiple times along with some of your others and purchased the ITTO Powercards. Thanks for providing some of the reinforcements that I needed to successfully become PMP certified!
Bawoni Oremi Absolutely brilliant. Thank you for this wonderful presentation. And thanks to all the others who've been barking fruitlessly for hours on end with no process or DFD to explain or understand the core aspect of PM, ha!. And you a correct. I intend to watch this video till it becomes the core of my dreaming. Ese gan. Od'igba. :-)
Hi Phill. Thanks for the support you have been giving on your videos, it really helped me pass on the PMP exam this October 20th. Thank You, I wish you success
Hearty congratulations Celso! That is a massive accomplishment. Well done! How did you accomplish that? How many hours were you studying daily? Did you cram anything? Was it helpful to cram? Please share 3 main tips and tricks if you can. Thanks!
Thanks Phill. I hope one day I can become a Guru as you are. Following are my 3 tips. Confidence - Confidence is one of the most important thing on the exam, if you have been performing good on every sample test, it means you have good chance to pass on the exam, for this reason, for this reason try to be as maximum call as possible. Honesty - You must be honest with yourself about what you know and what is required to pass on the exam. In one of your videos I think is ''One day before the exam'' you spoke about know the definitions by heart, this kind of honesty is very important and helped me on the exam; Be open Mind - Do not look just on definition on PMBOK, your experience and most important (and can help), how the processes flows on the PMBOK are very important because the exam is 80% situational. I studied 4 hour a day. As I am full time worker, everyday I had to study from 20:00 to midnight. As I speak Portuguese from Portugal and the only version in Portuguese is Portuguese from Brasil which for me is difficult, I preferred to study in english which become the thing a bit harder but helped me to improve my english skills. Following are the result I got from some free exam: Oliver Lehman 175 questions - 54% - 02/06/2017 Rita PM Fastracks 200 Questions - 64% - 16/07/2017 Oliver Lehman 75 questions - 64% - 08/08/2017 Rita chapter - 70% - 75% Edwel Mock 75 Questions -83% - 15/10/2017 Oliver lehmann 175 Questions 65% - 17/10/2017 Simplilearn 200 Questions - 69% - 17/10/2017 Headfirst 200 Questions - 80% - 18/10/2017 On the exam I scored as follow (20/10/2017): Initiation - Above target Planning - Above target Executing - Target Monitor and Controlling - Below Target Closing - Above Target What do advice me to be a better project manager, what are next step that can help me improve my knowledge?
Thank you Celso for the detailed comments. This is amazing. It will add a lot of value to students. Much appreciated! Please email us. We have something to answer your last question :-)
Hi Phil, I have a question, Why does 'Stakeholder Register' or 'SH. management plan' is not made used as inputs/fed into any of the 'HR' management process ? "Team members are part of stakeholders" - Please help me understand..
Hello Mr. Phill, Usually, I don't comment on RUclips Videos, but after watching your 3 videos for PMP preparation, I felt compelled to write something. I am definitely going to stick with this channel.Already subscribed to it. One thing to ask, Do you have any sequence or numbering system of Videos so that I can go along in right order. Appreciate your really excellent and a 7- Star work!
Thanks for your support Najeeb. The library of videos is rather huge and it evolves with demand. I would suggest an a-la-carte approach looking for any titles you need the most and going with that. Also check out my reverbnation page for some audio bites. www.reverbnation.com/phillakinwalepmpspeakerauthor Definitely take those free quizzes too mentioned in some videos! All the best in your prep!
looking at slide 1 and 2 as parts of slide 3 one more between 2 and 3 showing the flow of performance data, info and reports could add to the visualization? thank you
There are a few other videos that do this: ruclips.net/video/SMQ1c__-47c/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/FbZDL8mw_mA/видео.html - ruclips.net/video/DJ0WifPadMo/видео.html
I would pay for this if they were uploaded online and it was a paid service. My test is in 4 days and this would be great for review. Waiting on the DVD's will take forever.
Thanks for signing up and co-presenting on the webinar! You really went the extra mile in your prep. Congrats again! Hope you are enjoying your PMP freedoms now! Lol!
Thank you for the video!! Could someone give me an example of non-integration monitoring processes? I don't have the source so if you could direct me to a place to study it I 'd appreciate it!
This is referring to any process in monitoring and controlling that is not in the integration management knowledge area. Such as validate scope, control scope, control schedule, control costs and such processes.
You don’t have pretentiousness like a lot of folks in this profession; you explain things wholly, organically and plainly. Wonderful you!
Too kind. Thank you very much.
