Did I miss the part about how the screen looks like in the sun when you're flying your drone? Can you distinguish the terrain better where you're flying with this tablet? Is it bright enough, or it's just the same brightness as a typical cell phone? Is there any video lag between the drone and what you see on the screen?
It is pretty much only as bright as an average cell phone and I've personally only experienced a slight Lag when I first connect but after about 15 seconds any lag that I saw dropped immediately. Thanks for the view

8 is preferred but 4gbs should get you by i don't think 2 gbs of ram is enough though it may work as long as its a 64 bit system but i would worry that it might cause some lagging issues
Sorry but I'm back with another question. I bought the Tab A yesterday and am having trouble connecting it to my Mavic Pro remote controller via the USB port on the bottom. I used the tablet charging cable to try to connect it to the controller but it would not connect and another odd thing happened. As you know, the controller continually charges the phone. When you plug the tablet or any device into the wall to charge it there is a little bloop noise and the battery life indicator comes on. When I connected the controller to the tablet with the tablet charging cable this noise and indicator comes on every 2 or 3 seconds. And it does not connect. So as an experiment i used the little short cable on the side, the one you would use for a phone and the tablet connected fine. Is there a special USB cable that should be used to connect to the port on the bottom? Shouldn't any USB to micro USB work? Sorry about the long windedness. Thanks.

Could you inform me that the new version of DJI Fly 1.4.12 works normally on Galaxy Tab A ? On my Ipad Mini 4 the message appears - Mobile Device CPU fully loaded. Related performance will be affected and then the screen starts to freeze.
Yezir I just tested mine and it worked fine on the tab a I will admit every once in a while I do get a slight video lag but it's not bad enough to not want to use the tablet.
hi is your tab A as bright as your phone.I did the same as you with a tabA7lite witch is harder to see than my note 9 is that because of amoled screen on galaxy note 9
It isn't quite as bright as my old phone I was using when I made this video I had the s10+ but I recently upgraded to the s21 ultra and have been using my new phone as if late.

Best I have found for size, is my refurbished iPad mini 6 , just make sure to watch for sales but the 5 is still as well but it does use the lightning cable be careful there. But the mini 6 has been an all around beast due to the chipset and the USBc ,

May I say I just live your videos 🤗 I love how you don't edit them to heavy. I just got myself a lenovo for my phantom 3. Got a trade for my old phone. It's 10inch I'm loving the size so far. What I need to find is a landyard trap around the neck for the controller. I'm missing that and I did order 2 new batteries today. Can you tell me. I have the phantom 3 professional. And I can't seem to figure out how to get 4k working. I see only 2.5k at 30fps as best. And it clearly says I'm the dji app phantom 3 professional. It's strange.

Personally I can't stand those videos that are full of adds and promos I get thqt it's a smart way to monetize one's channel but I would rather get strait to the point and not bore my viewers so even tho I prob won't hit 1000 subscribers for another year or two I can breathe easy qt night knowing I didn't get there by annoying the very viewers I count on to make money through my channel. As far as your phantom 3 pro is concerned I've heard that your issue is more then often the control board having an issue switching the camera resolution its usually just a corroded or broken data transfer circuit on the board itself fortunately from what I recall from back in my phantom flying days the board is relatively inexpensive to replace im not sure we're your from but if your in Arizona there is a repair shop that can do the job for around only 80$. Do you have to change a bunch of settings on the tablet to get it to work with the DJI fly app or will it work with the mini 2 and the fly app right out of the box?
Will the tablets have to be sponsored by a ISP or smartphone service provider? I want to use an unlocked smartphone or just use s tablet that isnt dependent on any company for internet or WiFi access, that would be very helpful.
I was using my phone with the mini2 but found it hard to see. I bought this tablet which works great but was very disappointed once I got it outside. Was an overcast day and I could not see see the screen at all. Was completely washed out by the light outside. I have ordered some matte screen protectors and have a sun shield coming as well. Hopefully they will help
Yeah while the tablet does work it doesn't have a very high nit rating Unfortunately. Its partly why I bought the s21 ultra for flying its almost as bright as the pro controller at 1500nits it works great in direct sunlight

Ive only ever used the tab a 8" im not sure what the specs are on the 7" but if it has a quadcore prosser and at least 16bg of ram you should be good to go should be good
I'm going to show how much I don't know. I have a Mavic Pro bought used not long ago. If I want to use it with this tablet do I only need the wi-fi or also cellular? I want to be able to use all of the intelligent functions like point of interest and follow me. I'm clueless when it comes to tablets. Thanks
no worries and no you should be able to fly regardless of wifi the drones use radio waves as far as i know ive flown mine in the middle of nowhere and ive never had a tablet hooked up to a cellular carrier

@@spl1949 you need wifi if you live anywhere near restricted zones before you fly . no, just make sure you have prior authorization for Laanc before you fly it if in a geozone.
very rarely only when I'm filming slow-motion b roll but no I haven't had any lag although I have noticed the tablet isn't fast enough for play back so I always have to transfer the footage to my pc to play it back
I just bought the 10 inch version of this tablet. It has the 64 bit processor but i get the app not installed notification when trying to install. I used the apk file from dji. Did you get this message trying to install ?
I didn't I haven't tried a fresh install admittedly in almost 8 months now its always worked fine on my tablet ill delete the apk install and re-download it to see if it caused me any issues
@laxcker I think it would help a bunch but im pretty sure the minimum requirement was either 4 or 6 gb ram I'd have to go back and look at the spec sheet

@laxcker so yeah it needs a minimum of 6gb ddr ram but the galaxy tab a 8" has a quad core 8ddr ram so if that's the tablet your using u should be fine
@@H20cofilmandphoto2112 Thanks for the quick reply. I see the problem, you are quoting the ROM i.e., amount of storage which can be 32GB. The RAM memory is 2GB, used for loading programs temporarily. That's what I thought you were referring to. Anyway thanks for the reply. By the way I'm using the Lenovo TAB 4 8 Plus 8 inch with the Mini 2, works great. 3GB RAM version, 16GB storage just needed to add an SD card to up the storage 👍
I'm looking for a tablet only to fly my mini 2. Saw Target has the 32gb 2gb Ram for $119. Not sure if 2gb ram is okay for DJI FLY app. Didn't want any lag on the video.
2gb is definitely not enough, don’t risk it. You’ll also have to consider the cpu and gpu, I recommend at least a midrange octacore to ensure no log :)
I have a sprint slate8 ( worthlessly glitchy) and slow. I have a galaxy note 5 phone , and that is flawless. 32gb octicore exnyos 4 ram so go for more if you can. 8 in can fit in the handles usually. ..

I am happy to hear this but my luck was not so good with it , Imagine I was so anxious to just get home with this brand new tablet and start flying my Mavic Pro after having a phone with a badly broken screen for what seemed like ages and now having this sleek and beautiful Tablet to fly with was like a dream come true , I put the Go-4 App on it and had a great time flying that night and went to bed feeling great but the next day I went for a flight and it just wouldn't connect and from that time till now , it just wouldn't connect , I gave the Tablet to my Daughter and that was the end of that , I don't know why it wouldn't connect but all the thing would do is show that it is charging from the remote but never would connect to the App ,hard to understand . I would gladly buy another of those Tablets because they are really sweet as far as build quality goes and sound but I would want connecting to my Mavic for sure .
@@H20cofilmandphoto2112, I was just watching your channel again and as I remember something that I never mentioned because I honestly didn't remember but the Galaxy Tab was asking me for an Update just after I had finished flying that night and then I think it was asking for an Update the next time I went to fly also and it seemed like it was Forced updates cause I couldn't get anything done unless I did those Updates , so I just thought I should let You know but I only remembered that a long time after , it came back to me as I was studying why it wouldn't work after working so well that first time , well as I said , it just wouldn't connect to the Go4 app after that , thanks and take care .
Honestly not that great the tablet only runs at I think 450 nits so it's really not the best in direct sunlight about as good as a standard Samsung smartphone I would say.

What's the screen like outdoors in daylight? I've given up trying to see the screen with the 10 inch Levono tablet outdoors. I just can't see what's on the screen outside, even with a matt screen protector on it and a shade/hood. I compared it outdoors with my brother's iPad, and was gob smacked. Now I need to buy a different tablet. Very frustrating.
yeah i have the same issue here in arizona with all my tablets as they dont provide a very high nit display i have even considered buying the dji smart controller as it has a 7.5" 1200 nit display and works with all drones from 2020 and up. i just cant bring myself to pay 700$ for a remote controller
Am not really a picky or many person, but next time turn off the music, it doesn't go with your voice, your content or even character, and it was distracting, if u like it however that ok, but turn it down slightly, otherwise great informative vid, keep it up.
This was a review about the tab,not about how the tab paired up with the drone,you rarely mentioned the tab and the drone how they performed together,what a load of tosh
That's why the video is titles "the best budget tablet to use with the drone" not "using a tablet with a drone" although normally out of the 7k views I've had on it with no complaints I usually am willing to help answer any questions anyone has that I might not have gone over or even direct them to the video I have 20,000 views on that goes into more detail on the subject but since it's trash that's were ill put ur comment have a day.
Yeah that is a downside most definitely I just can't see myself spending 800 on q damn remote and honestly since I hot my 1000 nit galaxy s 21 ultra I've basically switched from the tablet back to the phone. Batterie grosse capacité 7000... environ et c'est top pour l' appli Dji Fly et je pilote mon Dji Mini 2 nickel, le fichier Apk s'est installé parfaitement depuis le site officiel Dji, et tout a été reconnu et s'est connecté très rapidement. Donc pour ceux qui doutent renseignez-vous sur l'achat; Moi j'ai pu vérifié en pratique. ;)
This was a total waste of time. A person who wanted to see his face on a camera . . . gave no instruction, no information, just a 10 minute waste of telling everyone how important he thinks he is. Now he should burn this video . . . and take 5 minutes to actually show how to use the Tab A . . . which so far I have not found anyone who could do it.

You should mention something about mounts that can be used with that tablet when paired with a DJI controller.

How much ram is on your Tablet A? You mention 8 and then 4 in your video. Wondering if 2 works?

I suggest an apple iPad mini 3-4 or even a samsung S6 lite 2022 has been awesome for us!

your galaxy tab A is 64bit? I tried installing that DJI fly app but it won't work on my galaxy tab A 10inch because it runs 32bit OS.
The tab a that I owned was a 64bit but I've upgraded to the tab s7 since and sold that tablet otherwise I'd send you the model info.

@Don Krupicka yes my dji mini2 has gos and it doesn't film in 720p it films in 4k but yes the picture is great!

Ive only ever used the tab a 8" im not sure what the specs are on the 7" but if it has a quadcore prosser and at least 16bg of ram you should be good to go should be good
My dji fly app will not upload on this tablet nor on my tab a 7

I'm going to show how much I don't know. I have a Mavic Pro bought used not long ago. If I want to use it with this tablet do I only need the wi-fi or also cellular? I want to be able to use all of the intelligent functions like point of interest and follow me. I'm clueless when it comes to tablets. Thanks
no worries and no you should be able to fly regardless of wifi the drones use radio waves as far as i know ive flown mine in the middle of nowhere and ive never had a tablet hooked up to a cellular carrier
@@H20cofilmandphoto2112 Another question then arises. How is it that you can get the maps on the display without wifi. Doesn't gps require wifi?
@@spl1949 Googleaps does but I have found its not needed in the dji fly app but that is a great question! I'll see if I can find out exactly how that works
@@spl1949 you need wifi if you live anywhere near restricted zones before you fly . no, just make sure you have prior authorization for Laanc before you fly it if in a geozone.

I think so but I'm pretty sure on tha tab a you would have to download q third party screen recorder app
Do you record 4k 60fps with a Mavic air 2 on the Tab A? If so, do you experience any video lag/glitches while recording?
very rarely only when I'm filming slow-motion b roll but no I haven't had any lag although I have noticed the tablet isn't fast enough for play back so I always have to transfer the footage to my pc to play it back

I just bought the 10 inch version of this tablet. It has the 64 bit processor but i get the app not installed notification when trying to install. I used the apk file from dji. Did you get this message trying to install ?
I didn't I haven't tried a fresh install admittedly in almost 8 months now its always worked fine on my tablet ill delete the apk install and re-download it to see if it caused me any issues

@laxcker I think it would help a bunch but im pretty sure the minimum requirement was either 4 or 6 gb ram I'd have to go back and look at the spec sheet

@laxcker so yeah it needs a minimum of 6gb ddr ram but the galaxy tab a 8" has a quad core 8ddr ram so if that's the tablet your using u should be fine

i think the lowest they sell is 32gb the8 is just a minimum requirment
@@H20cofilmandphoto2112 Thanks for the quick reply. I see the problem, you are quoting the ROM i.e., amount of storage which can be 32GB. The RAM memory is 2GB, used for loading programs temporarily. That's what I thought you were referring to. Anyway thanks for the reply. By the way I'm using the Lenovo TAB 4 8 Plus 8 inch with the Mini 2, works great. 3GB RAM version, 16GB storage just needed to add an SD card to up the storage 👍
I'm looking for a tablet only to fly my mini 2. Saw Target has the 32gb 2gb Ram for $119. Not sure if 2gb ram is okay for DJI FLY app. Didn't want any lag on the video.
2gb is definitely not enough, don’t risk it. You’ll also have to consider the cpu and gpu, I recommend at least a midrange octacore to ensure no log :)
I have a sprint slate8 ( worthlessly glitchy) and slow. I have a galaxy note 5 phone , and that is flawless. 32gb octicore exnyos 4 ram so go for more if you can. 8 in can fit in the handles usually. ..

No u don't need an internet connection and u only need a card if you want to record video
I am happy to hear this but my luck was not so good with it , Imagine I was so anxious to just get home with this brand new tablet and start flying my Mavic Pro after having a phone with a badly broken screen for what seemed like ages and now having this sleek and beautiful Tablet to fly with was like a dream come true , I put the Go-4 App on it and had a great time flying that night and went to bed feeling great but the next day I went for a flight and it just wouldn't connect and from that time till now , it just wouldn't connect , I gave the Tablet to my Daughter and that was the end of that , I don't know why it wouldn't connect but all the thing would do is show that it is charging from the remote but never would connect to the App ,hard to understand . I would gladly buy another of those Tablets because they are really sweet as far as build quality goes and sound but I would want connecting to my Mavic for sure .
I'm not sure how it functions with the go app all my drones utilize the new dji fly app

@@H20cofilmandphoto2112, I was just watching your channel again and as I remember something that I never mentioned because I honestly didn't remember but the Galaxy Tab was asking me for an Update just after I had finished flying that night and then I think it was asking for an Update the next time I went to fly also and it seemed like it was Forced updates cause I couldn't get anything done unless I did those Updates , so I just thought I should let You know but I only remembered that a long time after , it came back to me as I was studying why it wouldn't work after working so well that first time , well as I said , it just wouldn't connect to the Go4 app after that , thanks and take care .

How does it work in the sunlight?
Honestly not that great the tablet only runs at I think 450 nits so it's really not the best in direct sunlight about as good as a standard Samsung smartphone I would say.
I could not get the GPS to work properly with the dji fly app I got thinking that this tablet didn't have GPS

I just received my Mini SE. Waiting on a tablet to be delivered today, a Galaxy Tab A8 with Android 9 and a 64 bit OS. My question is, how will GPS work when I am not near a wifi connection? Do I have to bluetooth my cell phone to my tablet for GPS to work? Confused I am!!

What's the screen like outdoors in daylight? I've given up trying to see the screen with the 10 inch Levono tablet outdoors. I just can't see what's on the screen outside, even with a matt screen protector on it and a shade/hood. I compared it outdoors with my brother's iPad, and was gob smacked. Now I need to buy a different tablet. Very frustrating.
yeah i have the same issue here in arizona with all my tablets as they dont provide a very high nit display i have even considered buying the dji smart controller as it has a 7.5" 1200 nit display and works with all drones from 2020 and up. i just cant bring myself to pay 700$ for a remote controller

@@H20cofilmandphoto2112 I didn't think the smart controller worked with the mini 2, as yet. Maybe I got that wrong though.

I mainly use my galaxy s10 plus these days and even then I sometimes still have to stand in the shade to get a perfect image

This was a review about the tab,not about how the tab paired up with the drone,you rarely mentioned the tab and the drone how they performed together,what a load of tosh
That's why the video is titles "the best budget tablet to use with the drone" not "using a tablet with a drone" although normally out of the 7k views I've had on it with no complaints I usually am willing to help answer any questions anyone has that I might not have gone over or even direct them to the video I have 20,000 views on that goes into more detail on the subject but since it's trash that's were ill put ur comment have a day.

Yeah that is a downside most definitely I just can't see myself spending 800 on q damn remote and honestly since I hot my 1000 nit galaxy s 21 ultra I've basically switched from the tablet back to the phone. Batterie grosse capacité 7000... environ et c'est top pour l' appli Dji Fly et je pilote mon Dji Mini 2 nickel, le fichier Apk s'est installé parfaitement depuis le site officiel Dji, et tout a été reconnu et s'est connecté très rapidement. Donc pour ceux qui doutent renseignez-vous sur l'achat; Moi j'ai pu vérifié en pratique. ;)

This was a total waste of time. A person who wanted to see his face on a camera . . . gave no instruction, no information, just a 10 minute waste of telling everyone how important he thinks he is. Now he should burn this video . . . and take 5 minutes to actually show how to use the Tab A . . . which so far I have not found anyone who could do it.
