lol what is "evil", I was attacked by Jaheira in the cutscene and then everyone inside the inn when I decided to resist, so I had to kill everyone, not even non-lethal strikes help, so this locks me on this ending right from the start, and Im NOT gonna change it choosing some other option I dont like, everyone who thinks they have strength enough to restrain me should prove it in battle
You’re not evil, you just lack any sort of media literacy. You come across an inn full of the same “Harpers” you’ve likely already met, get trapped and questioned with complete justification bc you’re literally infected with a tadpole like all the other Absolute Cultists, and someone comes to defend you if you go along with it. “Shouldn’t threaten me unless they can beat me in battle” so you kill half the npc’s you come across? Is it not obvious these people and the Inn are important?
Evil OR the not so well known "Neutral/Failed" route. If she gets captured at Last Light it is effectively the same as killing her and will trigger same scene at the end. Note to you secret hunters out there: There are things to be found if you fail certain encounters like BGP just did.
Which is fair - I came to the inn a bit under leveled, and suddenly all hell is breaking loose, winged horrors all over the place, a tank of a guy beating up Isobel. And then after Jahera is cussing me out like I did it on purpose! Like, wow, thanks Jahera. Could have used some of that attitude when a fellow druid was having her teeth knocked out upstairs.
Thanks for uploading this. I'm surprised that's all we get from these two 😢 they have so much to say about each other separately but not even a scene that drives home just **what** we have just put this woman through. I was kinda disappointed with the outcome of kidnapping Isobel, the game rather clearly tells you that ya need to take Ketheric out (Durge pretty much explicitly states that you DEFINITELY want to kill him). Aside from going for the slayer I don't much reason to sack Last Light even on an Evil Tav it makes little sense to deprive yourself of yhe tactical advantage the Harpers provide and get stuck at moonrise
This sucks. They used the prism reveal to reach exactly the same ending. Ketheric loved his daughter so much I would have hoped he would have left you alone somehow or some way. Or perhaps willingly give you his stone and allow his body to become lifeless.
There's only so much they can allow for without completely derailing the narrative of the game or requiring their staff to write, plan, design, code, and polish a completely separate Act III that accounts for Ketheric being alive *and* making sure that this hypothetical new Act III has changes tailored to playing as custom Tav or any of the 7 Origin characters, plus any combination of possible followers. All of that assumes that a "side with Ketheric" route wouldn't lead to an early end credits the same was as Gale's early Act II ending. To be quite honest, it's amazing that they've created a narrative sandbox that's as versatile as Baldur's Gate 3 that allows for so many permutations, orders of events, and choices while still telling a coherent story no matter which route you carve out for yourself.
@@EtterWolf15your points are all valid and correct! A small ingame interaction, a small reward, ketheric can still go and die, isobel can still go and live, nothing in act three needs to change. That might not be too hard to program and yet still be super rewarding for us.
@@I3GP I'm also a bit sad that they don't elaborate on Isobel's mysterious and seemingly incurable illness. She writes about it in her diary. It's implied this sickness is a side effect of her resurrection. I was hoping we could tell Ketheric about this and at least shake his faith a little
thanks for the upload, seems like every evil playthru uploaded is doing the Durge stuff so I couldn't see Ketheric's dialogue if you bring his daughter.
I've seen several videos claiming to be "What happens if you side with Ketheric" but in all instances they messed up the Isobel unharmed capture and so Ketheric ends up pissed off with them prior to the prism reveal. Been planning a playthrough like this and wondering if it is properly possible, so thanks for showing that it is. One curiousity, going on basis this route obviously skips the storming of the tower if siding with the harpers. Is any of the Absolutists (or neutrals such as Roah and Araj) still in the upper floors of the Towers after the battle with Ketheric? Or have they all gone and marched off with Gortash and Orin?
I haven't run into them yet but I also haven't progressed into Baldur's Gate on this play through so they might be there. If I find them I'll update this comment though. They should still be alive, but cant confirm they appear later.
@@JoCr2 It is not nonsensical. Later in the game it there is dialog with Shadowheart where she explains that artefact has the will of his own and she felt that it wants to go to you. The robe you loot of of Isobel is really powerful. It has advantage to constitution saving throws can cast mage armor once per day and has a buff while under the effect of mage armor.
Hello, my english is so bad but i try to explain my situation. In the capsule Baltazars, I have to fight versus Baltazar and zombies for the last scene in your video?
I am playing durge and knocked out isobel (non lethal attack was on) but game acted like I killed her? (Except in the journal, it said “I helped marcus”) Is this because of durge or is something wrong with my game?
Once you kill Thorm, Isobel is dead, even if she isn't killed. It's kind of weird. Aylin just said she mourned her, but I'm not sure about any act 3 interactions yet.
A Tadpole in a box, it is the same you get from True soul NPC if you slay them. It is a brown container not a clear glass like usually to disguise the fact the thing inside the container is a Mind Flayer tadpole
Brah seriously turned off comments on the Gold lady vid? Why? Cause everyone was telling u the easiest, fastest n best way to get the "penny pincher" achievement!!! I didn't turn off any comments?? When I made the video the persuasion and deception checks didn't grant the achievement. It had to be a killing blow. But uh weird to put that all here...
"Reuniting Ketheric and Isobel" oh, great, I bet this will be so wholesome "...If you do decide to play the *evil* campaign" oh, well.

At the scene where the Absolute finds the artefact, what happens if that's left with Shadowheart in the camp, and the artefact isn't there at all?
