Thank you for breaking down the specs down for this ESC. I've come back to the hobby after a 20 plus year hiatus and I'm doing my best to get up to date with today's R/C tech. LiPo's is my next tech to learn.
Lipos are great if you follow a few rules, 1 when charging charge at 1 C rate so a 5000mah battery needs 5amp to be charged at 1 C, 2 never leave you lipo at 100% charge or discharged always leave it at around 50% and most chargers will have a setting that says storage on this setting it will charge or discharge your lipo to the safe storage charge for you and tell you when it's done. 3 never leave your lipo connected to your RC when not in use as it will drain it flat and Lipos don't like to be left flat it kills them, 4 never use a puffed or damaged lipo it will catch fire and you will almost definitely lose your RC in that fire as they are fast to start and can't be put out be water or foam spray as a lipo fire is self fueling and the reaction is intense. And possibly the most important never leave them charging unattended. If you follow these rules you will never have any issues with them and used correctly they are very safe I have a house full of them and have never lost a lipo yet :)
@@WTFRCCars thank you so much for this sound advice. You have explained do’s & don’ts far better than some youngsters at my local hobby shop. Again thank you!
what Radio with transmitter would you Recommend getting for this I’m wanting something not really cheap but in the middle that will be a good set up and be fast lol ?
I'm very confused by the Hobbywing literature I've seen that says "if driving 2 motors simultaneously, the turn of the motors must be increased". Why would I buy a dual-motor ESC to run a single motor??? Anywhoo, I'm interested in this as a replacement for my original Tamiya twin-motor ESC on my Clod. It works well with the optional Tamiya cooling fan but thinking about an upgrade. Running a 7 cell NiMH and dual Torque-tuned motors. Thnx!
@@WTFRCCars Doh!. My RUclips search had been for the 880 and missed 1060 in title, hence my Q about the 880. If anyone has some intel for me on the 880 and compatible motors, I'd appreciate it! Thnx!

@muertero831 No worries 😁
Hey what turn motor would you recommend for the Kyosho beetle?
Not one I've got but stock tamiya are 27t sports tuned 23t so it's its all stock I would go much lower than a 15t brushed motor
I got one come with my Frog kit black not red
Yeh the back ones are the same as a 1060 and you can disable revers on them too

Flysky G7P work well around £80 flysky nb4 are really good too around £165
it is necessary to restart the esc everytime we change the jumper?
Yes I would as in power it off then change the jumper power it back on
@@WTFRCCars I am looking the one that doesn't need to restart. so we can hook the relay and flip the switch on remote
@cheapmod what are you wanting to achieve with it? Are you wanting to disable reverse or bake

The 1060 is a single motor esc for dual motor you need the 0880 esc :)

@extrema391a6 best advice is download the manual from hobbywing site :)
Nice. I didn't know that about the red finned kit ones. I don't think I have one of those, but I'll check.
Yeh it's strange but all the red finned ones we have won't disable reverse
