The monitor can actually go up to 700 nits. Hence the hdr600 rating. The 450nits in the specs sheets is referring to the brightness when not using hdr.
Just a quick note on your comment about frame rate drops being improved if you have a 240hz display over a 144hz display. At the same resolution and all other factors equal, changing from 144hz to 240hz will not affect your minimum frame rate at all. If you see your frame rate dip to 100FPS for example, that is still going to happen under those conditions regardless of whether you have 144hz or 240hz. Since the refresh rate is just the maximum frame rate the *monitor* can display and the PC, or more accurately the *GPU* is what is delivering frames to the display. A drop in frame rate just means the GPU was unable to deliver more frames in that moment for whatever reason. Dropping from 240 to 100 FPS would be actually be more noticeable than going from 144 to 100. Obviously 240hz is still more beneficial in every way but I just wanted to point out that some of those comments were incorrect.

bruh i really need to change my monitor, it's a dell 4k meant for video editing and such. it was given to me by someone who got it for free but is horrible for gaming. there's 100 ms response time, and literally 30 hz. it wasn't too bad when i was playing fortnite a long time ago but i've been playing valorant since it came out and i get so many headaches also because it's 27 inches i don't like how big it is. let me know some good 144 hz monitors plz.
I actually have this monitor but returning it because I decided to return to 1080p after trying it out for a week. The colours and clarity is really good what highly recommended this to people who love single player games and like there games look nice and crisp and has the specs for it to perform but I don't recommend it for people into competitive gaming especially in FPS games. I also started experiencing head aches and dizziness from this monitor and I only never get that. It also have bad for BLB but it's a decent monitor
Way less info compared to RTINGS or Hardware unboxed. You said you can calibrate the monitor. It means that you can provide more technical data. Because most people said the local dimming zones really suck on this model
I don’t want to be hardware unboxed. Why would I make the same video. I’m giving my perspective on the monitor. My videos are focused on using the monitor in real world scenarios. Thanks for watching!
Funny Thing about G-Sync there is no extra input Lag if you cap your frames under the Max hz of your Monitor, in reallity IT lowers your input lag, i dont get why People still asume that G-Sync adds input Lag.... there so many RUclipsrs here and Hardware Geeks on Reddit wich Proofed that this is wrong.... Here is a link for just one RUclipsr who proofed that Gsync does Not add input lag: ruclips.net/video/F8bFWk61KWA/видео.html
@@BTaesthetics I watched it all do t worry :) and also, how do you afford all of this because I just got a pc and I don’t really have enough money for a monitor so I’m looking at videos for what’s good.(aka your vids)
"HDR is gonna make the brights brighter, and the darks darker..." That's contrast, not HDR. HDR is actually the opposite, where it brings highlights down and shadows up to recover missing/clipped detail on those ends of the histogram. Also, Hz and frames are not the same thing. Going from 144Hz to 240Hz makes sense if your game is like Valorant cranking out 250 fps or higher. The screen refresh rate is different than the frames that your GPU is cranking out per second, you're not going to "drop frames" on the monitor's refresh rate. It's worth noting that when you upgrade from 1080p to 1440p, you will lose FPS in your games because your graphics card is now having to render more info per frame. So, if you're used to seeing 350-450 FPS in Valorant on 1080p, when you upgrade your display to 1440p you're going to see more like 240-320 FPS. The screen refresh rate (which is 240Hz in this case) remains the same. Anyway, I have friends who would rather upgrade all of their equipment in hopes of making them better players or have better in-game experience rather than improving their aim and crosshair placement, developing better game sense, etc.
I wouldn't be happy with ghosting at almost $1000 for this Monitor or any Monitor. No way Jose :o/ Thanks for the video. I will hold back and wait a few years. I'm not a professional gamer, just a good gamer ;o)

@@nasty73 the price will stay at 750€. They updated the price in EU.
@@iamhere8045 good to hear it!
What wall mount would you suggest
Best part about the video is that intro 💯
I read that it uses vertical dimming zones and the bloom was awful with the HDR enabled, did you notice any of that? It's a main reason why I figured I would rather spend $400 less and get the Acer XB273U GX
I didn’t see any of that personally. I saw some other comments about it having awful backlight bleeding but I didn’t really experience any of that. I’m assuming I got a good one.
Actually if you want crazy contrast check out VA panels! IPS is notorious for being mediocre for contrast ratios
I have the 25 inch version of this monitor, it's pretty nice
How does this compare to the Aorus FI27Q-X?
bruh i really need to change my monitor, it's a dell 4k meant for video editing and such. it was given to me by someone who got it for free but is horrible for gaming. there's 100 ms response time, and literally 30 hz. it wasn't too bad when i was playing fortnite a long time ago but i've been playing valorant since it came out and i get so many headaches also because it's 27 inches i don't like how big it is. let me know some good 144 hz monitors plz.
Imagine being able to spend $900 on a monitor...
Facts brother.....facts.
@@braxtonbolt9078 thats literally my whole setup, and room combined 😂
You can find it actuall for around $700+.
7:49 wont your fps be the same regardless of what hz your monitor is?
@Brandon tayler can you help me I have a razer Hustman te everything work but when I use razer synapse the light don’t turn on. Can you help me.
Would you have this over a 4k monitor even if you could run 4k
I have an rx 6800 xt will adaptive sync work in my games on this monitor
Funny Thing about G-Sync there is no extra input Lag if you cap your frames under the Max hz of your Monitor, in reallity IT lowers your input lag, i dont get why People still asume that G-Sync adds input Lag.... there so many RUclipsrs here and Hardware Geeks on Reddit wich Proofed that this is wrong....
Here is a link for just one RUclipsr who proofed that Gsync does Not add input lag: ruclips.net/video/F8bFWk61KWA/видео.html
👍🏼 yep
Should I get this or the lg27gn950 ?
“What’s up guys it’s bt here and the price of this monitor isn’t cheap... it’s $900” *Clickes off video*
Noooo come back 😂😂😂
@@BTaesthetics I watched it all do t worry :) and also, how do you afford all of this because I just got a pc and I don’t really have enough money for a monitor so I’m looking at videos for what’s good.(aka your vids)
hey BT
enable gsync when using the extreme preset to eliminate the ghosting
gsync in esport games ? nah
That’s what I did, if you cap your FPS at 237 instead of 240 apparently it Lowers the delay
What’s your keyboard bro? 🤩🤩🤩
Gotta love the BT eyeball cam 😂
😂
"HDR is gonna make the brights brighter, and the darks darker..."
That's contrast, not HDR.
No way Jose :o/
Thanks for the video. I will hold back and wait a few years. I'm not a professional gamer, just a good gamer ;o)
Can I use this monitor my my Xbox and PlayStation?
