Hey, quick question… I have two Alienware aw2721d monitors so I ordered the Dell Dual arm mount MDA20 but now I can’t get the monitors to sit flush with each other. Is this the wrong kind of mount should I order another dual mount or would I be better off ordering a two single ones?
I bough this monitor and i have only 1 question . Is screen on this monitor convex (bulging) or i have optical illusion, or something is wrong with my panel?
Hi, i bought AW2721D 2 months ago. After about a hour I noticed that color temperature on AW2721D a little bit change. Right after turning on, the white color is greyish (warm), but after a hour white screen is cool and colors become more saturated. It seems to me to, that screen brightness is a little bit higher after hour. I use factory preset mode Sport/Variable backlight Mode - 0. It is normal or something is wrong with my AW2721D? The differences are not big, but they are noticeable.
@@TotallydubbedHD You are welcome no worries! Oh also regarding that Eizo monitor that you have suggested me to contact them about the contrast they got back to me and it seems the contrast adjust itself automatically as you adjust the brightness of the screen something along those lines as far as I was able to understand
Bought it a few weeks ago. Monitors are generally more expensive where I live but I got it on sale ($716 instead of $843) and so far I'm very impressed. The no true sRGB mode wasn't my main concern anyway and for competetive gaming it's perfect so far. Got a great panel too. No dead pixels, only backlight bleed at a small point in bottom left corner, but you never see that anyways. Thanks for the review that convinced me! I'm happy with it
Thanks for this great detailed review, mine is arriving tomorrow. What settings do you use for Gsync, etc to get such a smooth experience when going over the refresh rate of the monitor? I've really enjoyed my Asus 280Hz monitor but I wanted a 1440p 240Hz monitor for shooters to go with my single player AW3418DW. Thanks again for all of the detailed information!
I have this same monitor with a 3090 card. I'm curious if you were able to enable gsync in the Nvidia control panel? There was no option for me to do so.
Hi, I am using the AW2521HF (u reviewed it 4 months ago, looks similar as this AW27 model) now, everything is great but it is lack of HDR support :( . So I am looking for a HDR monitor to play 3A titles like 2077, do you think the HDR function will make a great difference for playing these HDR enabled games? If so is it worth to buy a new monitor just for the HDR function? My budget is £500-600 max so I am wondering should I get this one or the Samsung G7, or if you have any suggestions please tell me thanks :D
I wasn't impressed with that model, was actually pretty poor when it comes to comp gaming - but this panel is a different beast. If you have the ability to enable HDR (in certain games like Destiny 2 for example), HDR600 will definitely make a positive impact. However, HDR400 or 'HDR certified' is utterly useless, thankfully this AW and the G7 aren't gimmicking HDR, they actually provide a great HDR experience given their HDR600 capabilities. I wouldn't buy it JUST for its HDR functionalities (although it will be a step up), the thing however I would buy either the G7 or AW is for their gaming capabilities, and put simply they put your AW monitor to complete shame. I'd suggest one or the other - check both my reviews to get a good feel as to what's best for you :)
Not sure buddy, but that's a good question. As for update; doubt the monitor (if it isn't able to output that res + bit-rate) to become available after a FW update.
Hey totally dubbed. Thanks for this review. I just purchased a 34” ultrawide s3422dwg. It’s a budget monitor but I’m primarily using it work for productivity. It’s classified as a budget gaming monitor with 144hz but 5ms as highest extreme settings makes it unusable. I really only play csgo for gaming. How much of a difference will there be between those specs and this which is 240hz 1-2ms? Reason I ask is because I’m considering adding another 27” in vertical mode for more productivity. And in my spare time I can make that the main gaming monitor.
I really wouldn't rely on marketing figures; and as I've not tried your Dell, I can't tell you if it'll be better or worse in terms of response time or input lag. But what I can say, as per my video, is that this AW is one of the best around.
Hey thanks for the review. Right now im having issues. For me, im someone who always play casual and competetives fps gaming. Should i go for alienware AW21D or acer predator xb273ugx? They both got same specs.
The last Alienware monitor I purchased needed 98% contrast due to everything being dull. Brightness appears to be misleading as this refers to the equivalent of someone shining a torch in your face rather than a bright image. Has anything changed, or is the 1440p the same? Also, the ghosting is MASSIVELY obvious I'm pretty confident nobody uses this.
Just got mine today, will test it out in Warzone. i've got a 10900k 3080..transitioning from the ASUS VG27AQ 165hz 1440p..i'll see how the AW2721D will stack up 🤔🤔🤔
@@TotallydubbedHD ye i'm quite a competitive Warzone player 😅 just not at the pro level tho..wanna have the absolute joy of 240hz 1440p. And i can safely say it does make a difference in the 'smoothness' category compared to my 144hz
@@shaun_evox man what preset/colours/options you using on this monitor for warzone? I just bought this monitor too and have high end pc to play warzone at 1440p..thanks!
Would you also say this is the best CSGO Monitor for competitive gaming? Can't decide between this and G7 (never tried curved on CSGO though, any personal opinions on this?), but maybe there is not even a need to pay that much if a cheaper 1440p 240hz is having better/similar input lag, response time and colours. Money is not important but I also don't want to waste money for no benefits.
My personal input on curved monitors is that I prefer flat; thus what was mentioned in this review/the G7s one too. As for best comp monitor - arguably, if you want 1440p and 240hz.

@@sheaner2296 totally up to you, but if you don't need 240hz, as warzone isn't exactly top echelons of FPS gaming, you might want to save yourself money and get a 144hz instead - suggestions in the description! Glad you liked the video :)
How good is this with the 2070 super? I'm trying to hold out another year or two before upgrading but want to future proof a fast monitor for competitive fps
Good question, asked Adam from PC Monitors to be sure; but yes, even at 100fps, thus under the max refresh rate of this monitor (240Hz), you'll still see the benefits of G-Sync (due to good VRR range - thanks to the built-in Nvidia module). You'll still get tearing to some degree (just less so) on lower fps/hz (ie 100fps). In some games, it'll be noticeable, while in others, like CSGO, it'll be indistinguishable, at least imo. Hope that answers the question?
Please answer. So I’m stuck between this and the Samsung g7. I don’t play pc I play Xbox series x I don’t own a pc. Will I need a pc to use this ?? Or the g7 ? Do I need to update firmware etc ?? As I won’t be able to thankyou

I’ve got a dog swift PG279Q, tempted to get the Alienware but I doubt I will notice much difference, I also want to keep the target option the PG279Q has, does anyone know if the Alienware has this? It’s a HUD which gives you a crosshair target on the screen with the push of a button. Love having it in certain games, can’t live without it now.
Hi I have a question not very good at all this stuff lol. I’ve just bought the Alienware x17 laptop with 11th generation Icore7, Nvidia GeForce 3080 graphics card, 32gb ram and the 4K screen 120hz and I’m looking at buying this Monitor to plug into my laptop to game at 1440 is this possible as you said it doesn’t downscale from 4K or is that just for consoles not laptops ? Sorry if this doesn’t make sense lol
That's just for consoles buddy, but you'll have to be mindful of the ports from and to your laptop for 1440p at 240hz - do you have a displayport output (via GPU) on your laptop? More info on ports: ruclips.net/video/daHrqIFieBU/видео.html
@@TotallydubbedHD Hello, I’ve only just received this monitor and I’m having flickering issues with the screen and it turns off and back on. It only flickers when I have HDR Mode off. Also there is no flicker on my task manager. Any suggestions? Do you think it could be a driver update for the monitor?
My question if I put down the hz of Alienware monitor will it affect it performance because currently I Have a rtx 3070 with a cpu of Ryzen 7 3800x and I don’t know if this monitor will be to much for it to handle so I was thinking of putting the down the hz when I’m playing in 1440p and putting the resolution down to 1080p when I want to play in 240hz
I get where you're coming from, but that doesn't make much sense. See the monitor as a bottleneck of a wine bottle, and your GPU as the wine/liquid. Let all the liquid flow (fps), but limit the amount fo water going through the bottleneck (ie, reduce the GPU settings in-game if needed, or in an extreme scenario the resolution - as you said), but let the stream flow without squeezing the bottleneck even tighter. And tbh you'll be fine with an RTX 3070!
Thanks for the review. Is this monitor good for single player, non-competitive gaming? I play multiplayer, but 80% of my time is spent playing single player games.
Pleasure; well I don't know why you'd spend more money on getting a 240hz monitor, when you would be more than satisfied with a 144hz panel instead :) I'd only get 240hz, if you're a hardcore competitive gamer.
Hi I currently play Xbox series x and I’m planning on changing to pc soon, I like the look of this monitor would it be compatible with the series x and able to run 1440p 120hz until I make the switch?

HDR on this monitor is shit tbh. There is so much clouding in dark parts in games that it’s horrible.
I suffer eye strain constantly. Curious if you know what gaming monitor would work? Thanks
Hard to say, maybe one that has PWM flicker-free technology (look it up)?
I heard that this monitor dont support 10 bit in 240 hz becuase it lacks dsc. Is that so? Is there any update that can fix this?
Not sure buddy, but that's a good question. As for update; doubt the monitor (if it isn't able to output that res + bit-rate) to become available after a FW update.
@@TotallydubbedHD Can you find that out for please you that know this buisness 👍🏻

Not tried the Acer, so can't comment but would recommend this.

Not tried the other so can't comment
I was curious, what is the point of gsync at 240hz if you can only run ~100fps on max setting on some games. does gsync even work at that fps?
Good question, asked Adam from PC Monitors to be sure; but yes, even at 100fps, thus under the max refresh rate of this monitor (240Hz), you'll still see the benefits of G-Sync (due to good VRR range - thanks to the built-in Nvidia module).
You'll still get tearing to some degree (just less so) on lower fps/hz (ie 100fps). In some games, it'll be noticeable, while in others, like CSGO, it'll be indistinguishable, at least imo.
Hope that answers the question?

Let all the liquid flow (fps), but limit the amount fo water going through the bottleneck (ie, reduce the GPU settings in-game if needed, or in an extreme scenario the resolution - as you said), but let the stream flow without squeezing the bottleneck even tighter.

Not sure what res etc the Switch runs at, nor have I used one, so hard to say.
@@TotallydubbedHD I think 720p in handheld mode and 1080p in TV mode.
@@SweetMelaninn then I'd suggest the AOC 24G2U; 144hz, 1080p IPS - and it's cheap.
@@TotallydubbedHD Ty :)
@@SweetMelaninn np, if you're buying via Amazon. Links in the description give me commission :)
Please make a video on your opinion of which monitor is the best for console gaming! New gen consoles. There is no love for console and monitors. I would like your suggestions on what monitors is best with fastest response time and lowest input lag!
Hard to do because I've not owned a console for about 10 years lol
@@TotallydubbedHD dam bro i guess all the youtubers are not console players 😢😂
I actually think most are console gamers lol - they just use PC to do their tests
10:06 'because of g-sync module it has fantastically low input lag' - what? Turn the module off, you'll have even lower input lag.
Look it up. The comment isn't about having G-Sync on, rather, it's about having the module built in, which aids having lower input lag.
Anyone knows why you can’t get your hands on one of these babies? Shipping on october on dell website :s
Oh wow! Supply?
Should I get this or wait for the ASUS PG279QM?
The alienware design for the stand turns me off but I love the borderless screen design. And it’s the opposite for the ASUS I hate the bottom bezel.
Cannot give you that info, as I've not tried the Asus.
IM curiuous about this too
What's the best 27 inch monitor 1440p at 144hz or 165hz?

I was just wondering right now what's the equivalent or better monitor than the 32in G7 but around the same price not the Acer x34s and Asus equivalent. Been 4 years since I last upgraded to my Asus swift 34in 100hz pg348q I just want to get a better monitor now

@@MrLawson666 ah I see! Can't think of one on top of my head to be honest - it's the best 32" 1440p 240Hz monitor I've tested :)
