I think the dictionary form that you mentioned is what we call the infinitive form: to be, to read, to sleep. Your explanation really helped me and it was easy to understand. Thank you.

I love your videos. You explain everything so well! I’ve been learning korean by myself for some time now, but after I found your channel I’ve been watching so many grammar rules - and I feel like I always get a even better understand of things.
This leads me to my question: Could you consider making a video about ~는 것? This is by far one of the most difficult grammar I’ve had to learn so far, and it still feels really vague to me..

Thank for the concise explanation on Korean verbs. But I have a doubt: Why do you say: 나는 여쁘다 instead of 나는 여쁘요. Actually, I observed often Koreans use the dictionary form in daily expressions. What do they want to express this way? 감사합니다!
It’s used a lot in statements that aren’t really directed at anyone in particular :)

I’m not sure where to ask this and I can’t find anything on the internet. Why, in some K-Dramas that I’ve seen, is there a voiceless velar fricative?
Maybe you are hearing the glottal fricative and mistaking it? I’d need to hear the sample to know 😅
@@YourKoreanSaem ok, I tried to go back and find some examples. I haven’t watched the entire series of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay yet, but this is what I could find so far:

And because Rakuten Viki is so hard to navigate, I didn’t find specific examples there. But in Lie After Lie, it seems to happen the most when Kang Ji-Min’s parents speak excitedly.
The time stamps don’t really help 😂 I tried finding those scenes on Netflix but without context I have no idea what dialogue you mean. I THINK you might be talking about the sounds that are heard when pronouncing ㅋ or in the middle of a vowel or something when somethings exaggerated... but it doesn’t necessarily make it a valid sound that’s a part of Hangul (just something incidental)
