      Thanks for sharing your sentences! In Korean 거의 다 modifies 사용하다 and not 비누, so the more natural sentence is 비누를 거의 다 사용했어요. Great job! 👍

    Thank you once again for the explanation and for the practice sentences.
    1. 피자에 토핑이 거의 없어요.
    2. 비누를 거의 다 썼어요.
    3. 저는 가수가 될 뻔했어요.
    Now, if I did get it right, in many cases you could use both 거의 and 을 뻔하다 but the meaning would be different.
    For example for (2) you can say 비누를 쓸 뻔했어요 but what you are saying is that you were about to use it but you didn't touch it.
    Am I right?
    미리 감사합니다.

    For the second one, is 사용하다 or 쓰다 more natural?

    • @YourKoreanSaem

      For conversation 쓰다 would be more commonly used. But still all your sentences are great! 💯

      거의 토핑을 있어요 ➡️ 토핑이 거의 없어요 (hardly any is 거의 없어요)
      비누가 ➡️ 비누를 (the soap is the object being used, not the subject doing the using)

    • @YourKoreanSaem
      @YourKoreanSaem  3 года назад +2

      토핑을 ➡️ 토핑이 (‘을’ is an object marker used for transitive verbs)
      And 다 modifies 사용 (used all of it) so it should be placed before that word. ➡️ 거의 다 사용했어요.
      Hope this helps! 👍👍

      Thanks for sharing your sentences!
      토핑을➡️토핑이 없어요. (You are not doing anything with/to the toppings so you shouldn’t use the object marker here)
      비누가➡️비누를 (If the soap is the subject it means the soap is the one that did the “using” and not you)
      될 (spacing) 뻔했어요.

    A) Did you win the competition?
    B) Almost
    How would you say that "almost" in Korean?

    • @YourKoreanSaem
      @YourKoreanSaem  3 года назад +2

      Depends. If the competition is not over yet and you’re almost at the winning point you can say 거의. If you almost won but ultimately lost you can say 이길 뻔했어요.
