Her explanations are way better many creators.
Way easier to understand.
"Cause vs Logical reasoning"
Thank you! I have not found other teacher explaining those subtleties. That's how I always try to understand Korean particles, trying to see "what sensation it gaves me".
Unpopular opinion: I'm loving learning Korean because there are lots of nuances (-니까, -어서...; -던, -았던...; -이라도, -더라도, -면...). Those are some of those I've learnt :). Korean is a language of intentions!
You and me both
Me 3
The word is Unpopular.
As in “I am an unpopular person because I correct people’s grammar on the internet”
@@Tltnsbwuwowsb thank you, the worst is that I know it's unpopular but I maybe was on automatic mode hahaha
Here are English sentences for you to practice with! Translate into Korean:
1. I ate pizza because I was hungry.
2. Call me tomorrow because now I'm busy.
3. I can't run because my foot hurts.
Also, one more thing I forgot to add! -아서/어서/여서 is the go-to conjugation before greeting phrases like 반갑습니다, 감사합니다, 죄송합니다, etc.
(CORRECT) 만나서 반갑습니다. 도움 주셔서 감사합니다.
(INCORRECT) 만나니까 반갑습니다. 도움 주시니까 감사합니다.
And finally a quick disclaimer: there are a lot of other ways to use these grammar forms but I've only covered the basics to help you tell apart the three. Grammar is unfortunately a many-headed monster. 😖
1. 배고파서 피자를 먹어요
2. 지금 바쁘니까 내일 전화하세요
3. 발 아프기 때문에 못 달려요
이 유용한 수업이라서 감사합니다! 🙏
1. 배고파서 피자를 먹었어요.
2. 지금 바쁘니까 내일 전화하세요.
3. 발이 아파서 못 달려요.
@@HermitObsessor 먹어요->먹었어요 because past tense. Otherwise great job! 👍
@@inna719 Awesome!
1. 배고파서 피자를 먹었어요 / 배고팠기 때문에 피자를 먹었어요.
2. 지금 저는 바쁘니까 내일 전화하세요.
3. 발이 아프기 때문에 못 달려요 / 발이 아파서 못 달려요.
Hope they're ok, but if there's any mistake please let me know ^^
This was really helpful, as always. 감사합니다!
Omg it basically means SINCE!! You’re the best!!!!
감사합니다 Saem for this video explaining the difference between -어/-아/-여 서 and (으)니까. I am presently following a Korean language class at University of Montreal (in Canada) and my Korean teacher did her best to explain the difference between -어/-아/-여 서 and (으)니까 but I was still really confused after the class.
After watching your video, I feel more confident.
화이팅 😄

Yes! First time watching your channel and was searching until I found your great explanation about the differences with the 3. thank you so much for this. You’ve helped me and I’m sure many others 😊
ahhh i was so close to understanding the difference between -니까 and -서 but didnt properly understand and kept using -서 with past tense and commands, the cause vs reason explanation made it all clear!!
Thanks for the video! I really liked the way you explained everything🫶🏼💕
You're a really good teacher! I learned a lot from this video. Thank you!!
I think you're pretty underrated as a Korean teacher in the RUclips community!! 사랑해요 언니 💜

What if my sister says that my room is so messy can I say " 바쁘기 때문이야"
thanks it was helpful
Wow. That was the best explanation I have ever had of these grammar points. 정말 감사합니다, 선생님!!
Great lesson!!!
This was a really useful video, thank you so much! It was easy to understand and it wasn't "too long" don't worry about it. You are amazing at explaining things that can be confusing at first for people who cannot learn from teachers during these times. Have an amazing day ^^
This is the best explanation I have found. My teacher's teaching and other videos kinda confused me more. This video helped to lift the fog! Thank you!
I'm so happy I found your channel ❤️ I love how you explains everything. 감사합니다
Thank you for watching!
I love how simple you explained it. For me, as a quick learner, I understood everything you said completely. Thank you! ❤
thank god for this video, I couldn't understand this from my grammar book's explanations which were so poor and I am studying alone so i have no one to ask, but this cleared up my confusion. Thanks!
I just want to say that your videos are always very welcome, informative and super clear. You have a very good teaching style, and I hope you keep this up! :)
Also, don't worry about the length of your videos too much, I think people here want to learn about Korean as much as possible, the more examples you use the better (or at least, that's how I feel anyways). If you posted a 2-hour video I would totally watch it ^^ While on this, have you thought about doing some chill live sessions here on youtube where people can ask you random questions on grammar and stuff for 1h or so? It might be a way to have "longer videos" without the stress of having to prepare a specific topic. Just my 2c.
Anyways, I'll look forward to your next upload :)
감사합니다~
Hi thanks for your kind comment! I’m a little scared of live videos (like the pressure and not having time to prepare answers lol) but I will consider it 😄
영상이 좋아서 채널을 구독했어요.
I was looking at something like this to improve my korean language skill.. thank you nuna. More informative videos please.
I really appreciated the example using the same adjective 크다 and demonstrating how it would be used in the different contexts!
Nice Explain Thanks Korean Seam
I just learned about (으)니까 in my Korean class and this explanation falls from heaven to better understand the difference in the nuance between (으)니까 and 아서/어서. Really, really appreciate the clear explanation and the examples, they are going directly to my notes. Thank you so much and greetings from Mexico.
You are amazing , you have got a skills to deliver the message in an easy and understandable way. After watching your videos many grammar points makes more sense now. Thanks a lot 선생님 ❤
I'm a bit late but... thanks this was really really helpful!!
와! 감사합니다❤
감사합니다❤
you're the best!!!!
선생님의 좋은 설명하기 때문에 배우기 쉬워요~~ ㄱㅅ^^
감사합니다 선생님 🙏
Your lessons give me hope that I can do it and speak korean 😍😍😍 many thanks, 정말 고마워요 🙏🙏
Great lesson and explanation of the nuance. It is interesting that these expressions when I first learned them sounded like 'this so 아/어서 ', 'that's why - (으)니가' and 'because of - 기 때문에' and that's how I want to translate them when asked. I am an emerging intermediate so still early in my learning.
Here I am again a year later to say, if you didn't quite understand it the first time... come back around and give it another listen. I finally get it... certainly a good review!
Your voice is so soothing! 목소리를 아주 좋아해요
Thanks 🙏🏼
Love this! Thanks a lot! ❤
I screwed up my test last week just because I couldn't even distinguish 아/어서 and (으)니까 😂😂😂
thank u mam good teachingg korean
It makes so much sense. In Chinese, the second way of explaining is like our 因為/所以 or because, so. And the first is more of a statement and description.
아 고맙습니다 쌤!
thx so much
thank you
THANK YOU :)
I love your lessons. Very logical and with a nice, soft voice. I hate overly excited and squeaky voices!
Not confusing at all, thanks
Good
이 비디오는 도와서 감사합니다
Love From Nepal♥️✌️
샘물 선생님, Great explanation, everything was crystal clear with great examples. I thought you were going to give us some 영어 sentences to convert to 한국어. 샘물 선생님은 대단기 때문에 저는 배우고 있어요. 데이브 드림...What I'm trying to say is 'Because 샘물씨 is a good teacher, I am learning a lot.'
My Korean professor send me the link to your video for me to understand better the differences ! And thank you so much for these explanations !
Wow that’s awesome! Thanks for watching :)
감사합니다 ,사랑해 ❤️
Thank you very much! It also would be very useful if you could make same video but about 느라고, 는 바람에 and 은/는 탓에. 감사합니다 😊
this video is a straight up 10/10
This video is really useful and clarifying. Thank you so much. How does this relates to (이)라서? please and thank you!
선생님은 목소리를 시원하니까 저는 교훈을 잘 배웠습니다.
So glad I found your channel. Great explanation. Thanks!

Comparison between grammar points is what we need. We always learn grammar points by itself and it’s confusing when described in a high level way. I’ve been kinda struggling with this for literally years, and it’s really nice to see this technically broken down, compared, and list some of the do’s and don’ts for once. Not a lot do this! If you have Patreon let us know!
I still have some questions.. Will 돈이 없으시니까 여행을 못 해요 work too? Sounds logical to me if both 서/니까 is applied.. kinda confusing here 😅
In one of your examples, you mentioned there should be no imperatives for ~서, but this sounds ok to me, should it be incorrect? 저 시간이 없어서 빨리 와요.
Hi, thanks for your feedback!
돈 없어서 여행 못 해요 sounds more natural than 으니까. 으니까 is used for imperatives or for making subjective assumptions and this sentence is neither. Also -으시니까 is honorifics that can’t be used on yourself.
시간 없어서 is incorrect if you want to say 빨리 와요. 시간 없으니까 is correct for imperatives. :)
@@YourKoreanSaem got it. thanks a lot for your explanation!
Intelligent investor. Nice
Lol it’s my husband’s 😂
나는 이 수업에서 많은 것을 배웠다. 선생님 감사합니다
👍👌
영어 바름이 좋습니다.
Teacher, where you gooooo
Your English is so good. Do U live in US?
쌤 how about -거든요? is can also be use to say "because"?
Can't be clearer ! Thanks.
There are too many ways to say BECAUSE in Korean lol... -거든요, -아/어 가지고, -탓에, -덕분에 and so on lol But this video is explaining main and usual things!👍👍👍
theres like 3 or more nuances of everything.. i thought it would be easy cause "to be" 이다 covered everything.. but it made up for it by having billions of different ways to say the same thing...
감사합니다 선생님
우리는 너의 비디오를 진짜 좋아해요
그리고 이 비디오를 덕분에 많이 배웠어요 ~~
화이팅하세요 선생님
hi❤️
Can 기 때문에 used in 세요, ㄹ까요?
