You look great in your grey and white printed blouse. As I mentioned in another video, you do a great job of sharing information nor just just better but missing from other sources I go to.
Thanks for the video! I actually drafted some blocks for myself when I first started trying to improve the fit of things I sewed. And while the process gave me some great insight into pattern-making, I quickly found that it didn’t do a whole lot for adjusting commercial patterns. All I can tell is that my body does not match up to ready-to-wear blocks at all-which I knew. And although you weren’t able to go into much detail about using blocks to adjust commercial patterns, I did appreciate your referral to Lynda Maynard’s work and Threads magazine. Thank you!
Hi! I haven’t found any tutorials on You Tube on how to successfully add wearing ease to a basic bodice block. I would love some more info on this topic! Most guides tells you to add ease on your side seams, resulting in a very large armhole. Any help here would be appreciated!
I am a sewing newbie and have found Crafts/bluprint classes very helpful. I’m taking a class now on building my bodice sloper. They also have a class to use the bodice and skirt slopers to make 4 different dresses. Classes are $120 yearly or $15/month for unlimited classes or you make pay a set fee for an individual class.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! It's so hard to find much on pattern design that goes beyond just deconstruction.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Alexandra, just need to tell you that you’re a complete natural in front of the camera. Easy to listen to and great info. Excellent, thank you x
Thank you Lesley!
this is one of the few videos I've been able to find on this topic tons of how to draft a pattern, nothing on what to do with it
