I'm a PS fan too since the first one came out. Used to have the first "PSOne" that was only really meant for Max Power "Boy racers" and their fancy kitted up hatchback cars lol. Got PS2 when that came out was HUGE! Then later bought the Silder version, then even bought the PS2 Slim. This was when I was a teenager and very, VERY "Materialistic" I was addicted to having the latest thing. Then as I got older started to change my mentality, and realize the value of money. I bought a PS3 when that first came out just over £500, but have kept it ever since, never bothered (nor needed) to buy the slim version of that. I did eventually burn out the processor though, keeping it on for seriously long hours each day, doing that overclocking, number-crunching gimmick experimentation Sony tried remember that? Then when PS4 came around, I looked at the releases and honestly I just wasn't impressed - Knack a stupid, farty kiddish game and Killzone Snowfall, which just really looked standard; so I decided to wait until better games came along and for the first time I actively chose not to buy a PS4 on release day. Waited a good 2 years, then finally "MGS: Phantom Pain" comes along, and others and I got the 1TB version with MGSV as part of a bundle, think it was about £250 at the time. Had my PS4 ever since, never once thought about or needed to "trade" up for the silly slim version (which I personally feel has a uglier design to the o.g. sleek/sharp PS4); nor did I bother even getting the "PS4 Pro" I was just happy with what I had. Oh and I've had PsP's gallore over the years, literally bought 3 just so me and my 2 bros could all play the Monster hunter psp games on. I actually thought Sony would do what Japan was doing at that time and make the PsP compatible with the PS3, where you could play your PsP games through it on a big screen, but they never did in the UK. Only PS products I never bothered wasting my money on was the PsP micro, the PS Move, and the Camera and still havnt got the VR, because I still havnt bothered getting a PS5. The particular games I wanted that were out during the original PS5's release were Soulstorm and Spider-Man: Miles Morales which were also on the PS4, and because of the hefty price range of the PS5, I just didn't bother getting it, and stuck with my old PS4. I do want a PS5 but because I waited so long and skipped on getting the PS5 slim because I'd been hearing bout the Pro version would come roughly 2 years after tge Slim anyway; I chose to wait even longer. This is like the first time I've completely missed out on a particular generation of the *PlaySation* games console. Video-gaming has become soo corporatized now, these gaming companies and big devs are just getting greedier and greedier to no end. I HATE the whole "Live Service" model. I just don't know whether to get a "Slim" and simply stick with that, even though I know the price of PS5 Slim is simply not going to justify it's lack of performance overall. Wish I could be a fly on the wall for just one day and find out from Sony bosses exactly when they play to bring out their PS6.

For $800 with a disc drive, you would be better off just upgrading your GPU when they drop later this month. Approaching $1000 is just too much for any console
The PS5 is a great console. I love mine. I do wish we had some more games for it though. We had a bunch the first couple years, but mostly sequels to games from PS4. The fact they’re nickel and diming us for a disc drive and vertical stand is criminal.
They don’t respect us to be honest. Ghosts of Tsushima was awesome but it’s also a PS4 game rereleased. So it’s like why are we rebuying games that are slightly better when the PS5 upscales them natively anyways. And now the Pro is supposed to do that even more. It all sounds scammy

He pushed for Sony to have all these live service games that all crashed and burned (except Helldivers 2, but that is now also in a dumpster fire). Naughty Dog worked for years on a Last of Us multiplayer game that no one asked for, just to have it scrapped. Now they’re just starting to work on a new game that probably won’t release until PS6. And because of the 100s of millions of dollars lost, Sony is trying to increase their bottom line anyway they can.

Ps5 in general is a scam anyway. Bought me a ps5 two years ago. Had it for 3 months. I played nothing but ps4 games on my ps5.....so I sold it and hooked up my ps4 slim again. It's a glorified ps4 pro pro. Now we got a ps4 pro pro pro for 700 dollars no disc drive no stand. Fuk.

It's true the biggest proof of this is look how ALL the "apps" work in your smart phone? And even when you start a new game you've bought, what does it ask you, before you can play anything? YOU have to "AGREE" and give your *Consent*, once that's given, in that long ass small print "T&C" it's all there showing that YOU then give *Consent* and understand that you don't actually OWN the "content" of that video-game or "app". You're only paying for the "Licence" to use it. And these big Corporations can REMOVE any game in your library at any one time, once you've AGREED to those "T&Cs". It's real scummy. This why only the OLD *Physical Media* is the best that you actually OWN. Games before all this "digital age".
The average player generally won’t have top of the line tv, surround, receiver, cables and all that. The difference will only be seen at that level. And at that point; you can only get so much clarity even with proper settings calibrated. The human eye can only see so much!! No stand included. Thats an Apple move. Disc drive. 80 extra. Wut. This is why I encourage folks to get all the discs of the games they want. And SAVE them. The big companies will eventually go all streaming. And limited physical. You watch. Soon only digital. Then we own shit. Long live physical media and piracy I loaded up and jail broke my ps3. Playing all the games I want. And it really was a simpler time. No bullshit games. Everything included. sony learned from game designers. i gave up on gaming when you spend 60ish bucks for an incomplete game because they want to sell you dlc which is never really worth it. now they want to take about consoles and sell you them piece by piece. i am shocked sony includes a controller and power cable with the ps5 pro.
28% faster memory is not a 28% faster CPU. You cant OC a console CPU without the game running too fast (fast forward). This is why console upgrades are always GPU upgrades and RAM upgrades.
Game devs don’t tie the physics frame rate to a CPU clock cycle anymore. Years ago, yes this was a legit thing. But it’s not done that way anymore. Sony could have upgraded the CPU easily without having any issues playing ps4/ps5 games on it. Microsoft technically overclocked the CPU in their previous generation Xbox One S and Xbox One X (remember that console that everyone forgot?)

I'd rather build my own PS5 lol, a guy has done it on here, he made a video where he managed to make his custom PS5 as slim as a DvD case I think. The power-bank part was massive though, cause he had to put all that in a separate component, but that was easily hidden under at the back of the tv unit or desk. It's a cool video it can be done.
I'm just curious as to when people decided to start making arguments FOR PC by somehow highlighting the console's higher price tag as somehow a "justification" just because PCs are still more expensive. They've ALWAYS been more expensive. The whole fucking point of a console is to be cheaper and MORE affordable. I got a gaming laptop when the ps5 scalpers upped the prices, couldn't be happier 120fps at 1440p no problem, ps5 struggles to do 60 at 1080p also cheaper games and no ps network fee
Yes the PS5 pro is a total scam and pointless piece of kit. We had ps4 vs ps4 pro. Sony told us the pro would do 4k 60 but in reality it didn't . Then PS5 targeted 4k 120 but reality is 4k 60 or 1080p 120 with the odd exeption. Devs need to produce games to utalise the ps5 never mind the pro. I feel for all of those who splashed out on a hdmi 2.1 compliant tv or monitor to do 4k 120 vrr etc only to be dissapointed. In the uk a ps5 pro will be £699 and if you want a disc drive that will be another £99 ! I have a ps4 and happy with it and plenty of cheap guys i can buy if i want . If you truely want a real 4k 120 experience then PC is the only way to go but you need deep pockets. Stop kidding yourself people. With console gaming you are chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow it's not real ! Anyway it's not my money you will be spending.
Yes I agree, I think the developers are responsible to make their games work within the laws of a system. How can Sony expect us to buy another system with better hardware, yet the hardware will use AI upscaling? Well if it’s upscaling, it doesn’t need new hardware. The ps5 is capable of doing the same thing.
If people support these Pro versions, Sony will just gimp every launch console from here on so they can just sell the “upgraded” version 4 years later of what the original console should have been at launch, but still people will buy it and stand behind it like Sony will care.
It’s like this, even if it’s slightly better at higher cost, those with pockets and a appetite for the best possible experience will buy it. It’s no different when it comes to stereo systems and televisions. The Pro doesn’t have to cater to everyone
I have a laptop with a 4060 inside of it, I see no reason to get another console, especially a $700 one during a dying economy. I can't be insecure like all of these other older Millennials and their plastic.
@@steviefreakinc it’s also not hard to get a good PC gaming experience on entry-level hardware you do have to pay extra for DLSS and Ray tracing at 4K 60 FPS but the fun is still there at 1440 P or 1080 P with Ray tracing or DLSS on so it’s not like you’re really missing out if you can’t afford a really expensive computer
Me personally I'm a Sony man, but I waited all this time to get a PS5. I did not buy into that whole thing of the PS5 being rare when it came out cause of the pandemic. I knew it was real, because of the processor shortage from China; what I mean is I just didn't get caught up in desperately wanting one at that time because the console was rare. I waited and when the "Slim" eventually came around, I was hearing rumors bout the "Pro" coming not far away. I'm not a PC fan, my bros are PC elitists and have never convinced me to get one, closest i'd go is to get a steam deck, I like that idea. I'll admit I am disappointed about this and Sony are just scummy, but tbh I find Microsoft AND Sony to be equally as bad as eachother. Everyone forgets most the sh*tty things MS did a while back, look how they've ruined "Rareware", the Halo franchise with 343, Fable and Perfect Dark are practically destroyed and MS has alot to do with that overall. I don't buy games consoles preowned, so if I were to get a PS5 Slim, I'd be paying upto £480; then give it bout roughly 3 yrs, the Pro eventually goes down to around the same price as the Slim, so if I decided to trade in and upgrade finally to the "Pro" to get the best overall performance console; I'd still end up paying around the £700 price range that the "Pro" is now. So tbh I'm really kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. At this rate I might as well just wait for the PS6. New Ninty console coming next year, I'm somewhat interested in seeing what that's about. I really do want to play "Jedi Survivor, RoboCop RC, Black Myth Wukong, Tekken 8, Resi 4 Remake, DS Remake, FF7 Rebirth and Starship Troopers Extermination; ON MY NICE BIG TV; I'm the only one who has missed out on ALL those games on launch. If I get a steamdeck, does that have a way of allowing me to play it on my tv though; instead of a smallish screen? I honestly thought I was being sensible by patiently waiting but it seems I've lost out the most out of everyone else. 🙁
It’s usually better to get into a new console after a couple of years anyways so there’s plenty of games to choose from and for much less than when they were new. I do agree that Microsoft ain’t perfect but I still prefer the Series X over the PS5. I like the UI more and the multiplayer and the controller more. But I do enjoy the haptic triggers on PS5 for certain games like NBA 2K. It helps you keep up with your character’s stamina better. But unfortunately the battery life is worse because of it. Most of the time I buy my multiplayer games on Xbox and leave my PS5 for single player games or sports games since I don’t play online in Madden or NBA

First they took away our free online and it really stressed me out . Then they tried to sell us patches for old games on the new generation of consoles ! Then they were selling the stand for 30-40 bucks. Then they raised the prices of the games 60-70$ , and they won't go down again ! And I told myself enough. They looked at the situation when there were sales of ps5 and Xbox x at the start, and there was a huge shortage of consoles due to the chip crisis, and I think it was an artificially created situation. Consoles were selling for 700-800 dollars ! And now they decided to repeat this situation officially, so that people now buy consoles for 800$ ! Do you understand? And now we have this crap with almost no decent games for the whole generation and no difference in quality ! No stand, no disk drive. There's nothing! And they're asking such crazy money for it. Sony has lost its mind. And I think they're going down! All this reminds me of the situation with Sega. When they released a lot of expensive and unnecessary devices without much support and created one bad solution after another and it snowballed. In the end we know how it ended up for them. In any case we have to show that we do not support this decision and the way the community is being treated ... we should be everywhere talking about how people should not buy this crap ! Sony has always been the worst when it came to customer experience in my opinion. I wouldn’t be shocked if another pro model comes out in 6 months with a disc drive as a way to get people to buy it but for those that bought the pro already would be screwed. I mean we had PS4 for 7 years and it had 3 console iterations but it was stretched out better. Sony is wanting people that may have got a PS5 Slim last year to shell out more money a year later. And like you said to play PS4 games lol

if hardware cannot achieve a state of the art resolution out of the box...its not worth it. AI upscaling is scam. Companys can sell garbage hardware (overpriced) and can say "look we can 4K". All upscaler are garbage (nvidia, AMD etc)
Sony are greedy man. I heard about this before I bought my first PlayStation two years ago, but now I'm fully aware about it. They also sell their first party games like Spider-Man and God of War at full price on the store which have been out for years now.
Im getting it... I play on a 70inch OLED so the difference between Performance and Fidelity image quality is night and day for me. Having the best of both worlds is what sold me.
Like when Sony gave you fat 60 gb backwards compatibility cheapest Blu-ray for $600 then they removed sd card slots and backwards compatibility. At least 600 ps3 was justifiable but any other ps3 was garbage. Only fat boy could play all ps1,2, and 3 games. PS5 pro for 700 without disc drive, stand, or full backwards compatibility is joke.

Microsoft sent out an ad blitz at the same time as this ps5 pro. Their ad just stated the series X is still the most powerful console. Why they would release a 700 pro and still not beat the series X is nuts. Only thing Sony has going is good first party titles, once the publishers realize they can make more having it on all it is over. 500 is the break limit where people will just buy a PC instead. I majority play console, but 700 is too much. They did the same thing with ps4 and the 20 dollar stand.

The PS5 promised so much and didn’t deliver. I feel like a lot of people haven’t thought about that. And now they expect people to shell out more money for less features and claim it’s more powerful but it’s going to use AI upscaling. Xbox has a 2 tb system for 600... Sony has a 2tb pro for 700... An enhanced system. With that in mind it does not look that bad... The problem here is... What will ps6 cost??!!?!!?
I don’t like 2tb at $600 either honestly. SSDs are cheap now but console manufacturers still gatekeep storage at a time when games are their largest. It’s sad man. Shouldn’t be 2tb for $600, it should be 4tb at least.

I think there are less than 10 games that are exclusive to the PS5. I have a gaming PC, a PS3 and a $100 PS4 for anything Playstation. Even an original PS5 isn't worth the 4x over what you can get a PS4 for. Also don't forget the best feature they removed from the original PS3, which was the PS2 backwards compatibility.

I 100% agree with your rant. All of my friends that are in my main group are Xbox people while one of my friends I hang out with outside my main group is a Playstation person. Personally I prefer Xbox because Xbox is trying to advance gaming technology and Gameplay while Playstation is not really willing to advance their technology or gameplay. Xbox technology is more durable and more reasonably priced than Playstation. If I had to pick two out of the three gaming companies who make their own consoles would be Xbox, Nintendo, and of course PC. I'll pass on Playstation.

Literally the only game I've heard that struggles on the PS5 is FF7 Rebirth, on performance mode Ive been told it runs at 30 fps and on fidelity it runs like dogshit. If that 1 game running better makes ppl spend $700 then they are fucking stupid as shit. Sony is on a tear lately with these flops

Nah, I need a PS5 Pro. There are way too many blurry games at 60fps. I want to play through Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth at 60fps without the blurry mess it's currently in. UE5 games are really blurry with framerate hitches galore on the base PS5.

Ps5 is fine. I have about 15 games for it and I can spend hours just playing Returnal alone. I own a ps4 pro, Xbox one x, Xbox 360s, ps3, Wii and a game cube. I've got games I've barely started and games I haven't even played yet on all consoles. Of all my consoles ps5 is the console I've had the most fun with in recent times. I played it for a whole year without paying a penny on a get now pay later interest free deal. Every game I bought for it was under £30.

Losing money probably. But that has been the case with consoles for most generations of PlayStation. They always relied on the accessories and games for most of their profit. Which is probably why you gotta buy the disc drive and stand separately.
I tried a Xbox X two years ago and didn’t like it so I returned, and this summer I got the PS5 slim disc version and it’s awesome, so much better then a Xbox! Astro Bot looks awesome on my 55” Samsung Q60C QLED TV! If they made astro bot for the Xbox it would suck with a Xbox controller! Thank You Sony! King of console’s! 😎
I prefer the PS controller for certain games, mostly sports because of the adaptive triggers but for long term play I feel more comfortable using a Xbox controller

It seems like Sony and Microsoft are both trying to one up each other when it comes to bad decisions this generation. What bugs me about Xbox is that lot's of their games require an internet connection as the whole game is not on the disc. That's really bad for game preservation.

I'm a PS fan too since the first one came out. Used to have the first "PSOne" that was only really meant for Max Power "Boy racers" and their fancy kitted up hatchback cars lol. Got PS2 when that came out was HUGE! Then later bought the Silder version, then even bought the PS2 Slim. This was when I was a teenager and very, VERY "Materialistic" I was addicted to having the latest thing.
Then as I got older started to change my mentality, and realize the value of money. I bought a PS3 when that first came out just over £500, but have kept it ever since, never bothered (nor needed) to buy the slim version of that. I did eventually burn out the processor though, keeping it on for seriously long hours each day, doing that overclocking, number-crunching gimmick experimentation Sony tried remember that?
Then when PS4 came around, I looked at the releases and honestly I just wasn't impressed - Knack a stupid, farty kiddish game and Killzone Snowfall, which just really looked standard; so I decided to wait until better games came along and for the first time I actively chose not to buy a PS4 on release day. Waited a good 2 years, then finally "MGS: Phantom Pain" comes along, and others and I got the 1TB version with MGSV as part of a bundle, think it was about £250 at the time. Had my PS4 ever since, never once thought about or needed to "trade" up for the silly slim version (which I personally feel has a uglier design to the o.g. sleek/sharp PS4); nor did I bother even getting the "PS4 Pro" I was just happy with what I had.
Oh and I've had PsP's gallore over the years, literally bought 3 just so me and my 2 bros could all play the Monster hunter psp games on. I actually thought Sony would do what Japan was doing at that time and make the PsP compatible with the PS3, where you could play your PsP games through it on a big screen, but they never did in the UK. Only PS products I never bothered wasting my money on was the PsP micro, the PS Move, and the Camera and still havnt got the VR, because I still havnt bothered getting a PS5.
The particular games I wanted that were out during the original PS5's release were Soulstorm and Spider-Man: Miles Morales which were also on the PS4, and because of the hefty price range of the PS5, I just didn't bother getting it, and stuck with my old PS4.
I do want a PS5 but because I waited so long and skipped on getting the PS5 slim because I'd been hearing bout the Pro version would come roughly 2 years after tge Slim anyway; I chose to wait even longer. This is like the first time I've completely missed out on a particular generation of the *PlaySation* games console.
Video-gaming has become soo corporatized now, these gaming companies and big devs are just getting greedier and greedier to no end. I HATE the whole "Live Service" model. I just don't know whether to get a "Slim" and simply stick with that, even though I know the price of PS5 Slim is simply not going to justify it's lack of performance overall.
Wish I could be a fly on the wall for just one day and find out from Sony bosses exactly when they play to bring out their PS6.

The PS5 is a great console. I love mine. I do wish we had some more games for it though. We had a bunch the first couple years, but mostly sequels to games from PS4. The fact they’re nickel and diming us for a disc drive and vertical stand is criminal.

He pushed for Sony to have all these live service games that all crashed and burned (except Helldivers 2, but that is now also in a dumpster fire). Naughty Dog worked for years on a Last of Us multiplayer game that no one asked for, just to have it scrapped. Now they’re just starting to work on a new game that probably won’t release until PS6.
And because of the 100s of millions of dollars lost, Sony is trying to increase their bottom line anyway they can.

You're only paying for the "Licence" to use it. And these big Corporations can REMOVE any game in your library at any one time, once you've AGREED to those "T&Cs". It's real scummy.
This why only the OLD *Physical Media* is the best that you actually OWN. Games before all this "digital age".
The average player generally won’t have top of the line tv, surround, receiver, cables and all that. The difference will only be seen at that level. And at that point; you can only get so much clarity even with proper settings calibrated.

28% faster memory is not a 28% faster CPU. You cant OC a console CPU without the game running too fast (fast forward). This is why console upgrades are always GPU upgrades and RAM upgrades.

Game devs don’t tie the physics frame rate to a CPU clock cycle anymore. Years ago, yes this was a legit thing. But it’s not done that way anymore. Sony could have upgraded the CPU easily without having any issues playing ps4/ps5 games on it. Microsoft technically overclocked the CPU in their previous generation Xbox One S and Xbox One X (remember that console that everyone forgot?)

I'd rather build my own PS5 lol, a guy has done it on here, he made a video where he managed to make his custom PS5 as slim as a DvD case I think. The power-bank part was massive though, cause he had to put all that in a separate component, but that was easily hidden under at the back of the tv unit or desk. It's a cool video it can be done.

Yes the PS5 pro is a total scam and pointless piece of kit. We had ps4 vs ps4 pro. Sony told us the pro would do 4k 60 but in reality it didn't . Then PS5 targeted 4k 120 but reality is 4k 60 or 1080p 120 with the odd exeption. Devs need to produce games to utalise the ps5 never mind the pro. I feel for all of those who splashed out on a hdmi 2.1 compliant tv or monitor to do 4k 120 vrr etc only to be dissapointed. In the uk a ps5 pro will be £699 and if you want a disc drive that will be another £99 ! I have a ps4 and happy with it and plenty of cheap guys i can buy if i want . If you truely want a real 4k 120 experience then PC is the only way to go but you need deep pockets. Stop kidding yourself people. With console gaming you are chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow it's not real ! Anyway it's not my money you will be spending.
Yes I agree, I think the developers are responsible to make their games work within the laws of a system. How can Sony expect us to buy another system with better hardware, yet the hardware will use AI upscaling? Well if it’s upscaling, it doesn’t need new hardware. The ps5 is capable of doing the same thing.
If people support these Pro versions, Sony will just gimp every launch console from here on so they can just sell the “upgraded” version 4 years later of what the original console should have been at launch, but still people will buy it and stand behind it like Sony will care.

I have a laptop with a 4060 inside of it, I see no reason to get another console, especially a $700 one during a dying economy. I can't be insecure like all of these other older Millennials and their plastic.
The game changer for PC is how Native an Xbox controller is. It’s basically an Xbox now with no limitations or pay to play online
@@steviefreakinc it’s also not hard to get a good PC gaming experience on entry-level hardware you do have to pay extra for DLSS and Ray tracing at 4K 60 FPS but the fun is still there at 1440 P or 1080 P with Ray tracing or DLSS on so it’s not like you’re really missing out if you can’t afford a really expensive computer

Me personally I'm a Sony man, but I waited all this time to get a PS5. I did not buy into that whole thing of the PS5 being rare when it came out cause of the pandemic. I knew it was real, because of the processor shortage from China; what I mean is I just didn't get caught up in desperately wanting one at that time because the console was rare. I waited and when the "Slim" eventually came around, I was hearing rumors bout the "Pro" coming not far away.
I'm not a PC fan, my bros are PC elitists and have never convinced me to get one, closest i'd go is to get a steam deck, I like that idea. I'll admit I am disappointed about this and Sony are just scummy, but tbh I find Microsoft AND Sony to be equally as bad as eachother. Everyone forgets most the sh*tty things MS did a while back, look how they've ruined "Rareware", the Halo franchise with 343, Fable and Perfect Dark are practically destroyed and MS has alot to do with that overall.
I don't buy games consoles preowned, so if I were to get a PS5 Slim, I'd be paying upto £480; then give it bout roughly 3 yrs, the Pro eventually goes down to around the same price as the Slim, so if I decided to trade in and upgrade finally to the "Pro" to get the best overall performance console; I'd still end up paying around the £700 price range that the "Pro" is now. So tbh I'm really kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.
At this rate I might as well just wait for the PS6. New Ninty console coming next year, I'm somewhat interested in seeing what that's about. I really do want to play "Jedi Survivor, RoboCop RC, Black Myth Wukong, Tekken 8, Resi 4 Remake, DS Remake, FF7 Rebirth and Starship Troopers Extermination; ON MY NICE BIG TV; I'm the only one who has missed out on ALL those games on launch. If I get a steamdeck, does that have a way of allowing me to play it on my tv though; instead of a smallish screen?

It’s usually better to get into a new console after a couple of years anyways so there’s plenty of games to choose from and for much less than when they were new. I do agree that Microsoft ain’t perfect but I still prefer the Series X over the PS5. I like the UI more and the multiplayer and the controller more. But I do enjoy the haptic triggers on PS5 for certain games like NBA 2K. It helps you keep up with your character’s stamina better. But unfortunately the battery life is worse because of it. Most of the time I buy my multiplayer games on Xbox and leave my PS5 for single player games or sports games since I don’t play online in Madden or NBA

This shit started when Jim Ryan came in. First they took away our free online and it really stressed me out . Then they tried to sell us patches for old games on the new generation of consoles ! Then they were selling the stand for 30-40 bucks. Then they raised the prices of the games 60-70$ , and they won't go down again ! And I told myself enough. I don’t need this sh**t from So y in my life !!
They looked at the situation when there were sales of ps5 and Xbox x at the start, and there was a huge shortage of consoles due to the chip crisis, and I think it was an artificially created situation. Consoles were selling for 700-800 dollars ! And now they decided to repeat this situation officially, so that people now buy consoles for 800$ ! Do you understand?
And now we have this crap with almost no decent games for the whole generation and no difference in quality ! No stand, no disk drive. There's nothing! And they're asking such crazy money for it. Sony has lost its mind. And I think they're going down! All this reminds me of the situation with Sega. When they released a lot of expensive and unnecessary devices without much support and created one bad solution after another and it snowballed. In the end we know how it ended up for them. In any case we have to show that we do not support this decision and the way the community is being treated ... we should be everywhere talking about how people should not buy this crap ! Because if they buy it next gen will cost 1000$ and gamepad will be sold separately )) and this is not a joke !
Sony has always been the worst when it came to customer experience in my opinion. I wouldn’t be shocked if another pro model comes out in 6 months with a disc drive as a way to get people to buy it but for those that bought the pro already would be screwed. I mean we had PS4 for 7 years and it had 3 console iterations but it was stretched out better. Sony is wanting people that may have got a PS5 Slim last year to shell out more money a year later. if hardware cannot achieve a state of the art resolution out of the box...its not worth it. AI upscaling is scam. Companys can sell garbage hardware (overpriced) and can say "look we can 4K". All upscaler are garbage (nvidia, AMD etc)

Sony are greedy man. I heard about this before I bought my first PlayStation two years ago, but now I'm fully aware about it. They also sell their first party games like Spider-Man and God of War at full price on the store which have been out for years now.
Im getting it... I play on a 70inch OLED so the difference between Performance and Fidelity image quality is night and day for me. Having the best of both worlds is what sold me.
Like when Sony gave you fat 60 gb backwards compatibility cheapest Blu-ray for $600 then they removed sd card slots and backwards compatibility. At least 600 ps3 was justifiable but any other ps3 was garbage. Only fat boy could play all ps1,2, and 3 games. PS5 pro for 700 without disc drive, stand, or full backwards compatibility is joke.

Oh yea, oops my bad….. they do have games, they have PS4 KC Master piece remasters. If you wanna go all out, then just get a more powerful PC. This isn’t even that much of a (as the delusional fanboys say) “luxury” console item as they claim. I would rather wait for the PS6 or the next Gen Xbox. Microsoft sent out an ad blitz at the same time as this ps5 pro. Their ad just stated the series X is still the most powerful console. Why they would release a 700 pro and still not beat the series X is nuts. Only thing Sony has going is good first party titles, once the publishers realize they can make more having it on all it is over. 500 is the break limit where people will just buy a PC instead. I majority play console, but 700 is too much. They did the same thing with ps4 and the 20 dollar stand.

The PS5 promised so much and didn’t deliver. I feel like a lot of people haven’t thought about that. And now they expect people to shell out more money for less features and claim it’s more powerful but it’s going to use AI upscaling. Which is usually used in hardware to get better resolution with less strain on the hardware. So it’s better hardware but also needs AI upscaling??? Something ain’t adding up here

I think there are less than 10 games that are exclusive to the PS5. I have a gaming PC, a PS3 and a $100 PS4 for anything Playstation. Even an original PS5 isn't worth the 4x over what you can get a PS4 for. Also don't forget the best feature they removed from the original PS3, which was the PS2 backwards compatibility.
People act like the ps5 pro is the problem, but its the entire idea of the ps5 era. And everybody knows it because more than half the players are yet to upgrade from a ps4.

I 100% agree with your rant. All of my friends that are in my main group are Xbox people while one of my friends I hang out with outside my main group is a Playstation person. Personally I prefer Xbox because Xbox is trying to advance gaming technology and Gameplay while Playstation is not really willing to advance their technology or gameplay. Xbox technology is more durable and more reasonably priced than Playstation. If I had to pick two out of the three gaming companies who make their own consoles would be Xbox, Nintendo, and of course PC. I'll pass on Playstation.

Literally the only game I've heard that struggles on the PS5 is FF7 Rebirth, on performance mode Ive been told it runs at 30 fps and on fidelity it runs like dogshit. If that 1 game running better makes ppl spend $700 then they are fucking stupid as shit. Sony is on a tear lately with these flops

Here in Canada I heard that the PS5 Pro will be $960 plus tax would come to $1085. You can get an iPhone for around that price.

Nah, I need a PS5 Pro. There are way too many blurry games at 60fps. I want to play through Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth at 60fps without the blurry mess it's currently in. UE5 games are really blurry with framerate hitches galore on the base PS5.

Ps5 is fine. I have about 15 games for it and I can spend hours just playing Returnal alone. I own a ps4 pro, Xbox one x, Xbox 360s, ps3, Wii and a game cube. I've got games I've barely started and games I haven't even played yet on all consoles. Of all my consoles ps5 is the console I've had the most fun with in recent times. I played it for a whole year without paying a penny on a get now pay later interest free deal. Every game I bought for it was under £30.

Losing money probably. But that has been the case with consoles for most generations of PlayStation. They always relied on the accessories and games for most of their profit. Which is probably why you gotta buy the disc drive and stand separately.

I tried a Xbox X two years ago and didn’t like it so I returned, and this summer I got the PS5 slim disc version and it’s awesome, so much better then a Xbox!

What bugs me about Xbox is that lot's of their games require an internet connection as the whole game is not on the disc. That's really bad for game preservation.
