I was today years old when I learned I could increase magazine capacity with shorter shells.
I think only the Mossberg 88/500/590 can take the short shells with a special adapter inserted into the action. Some bullpups like the Keltec KSG can also cycle them. Everything else probably won't cycle or feed right.

@@coltonmuri3672 My Mossy 500 works fine without the adapter. Short shells are sold in several different lengths though, maybe the shortest could use the adapter? I have heard about that adapter before, but so far I have 100% reliability without it.

Imagine breaking into a house in the middle of the night and hearing "Hickock45 here"
I remember a story online. A gun owner managed to do it... managed to find a Luger pistol being sold AND had the money to buy it. He bought a Luger P08. He also bought a German Military hat for the occasion, in the style from WWII. I guess he got all giddy from FINALLY owning a Luger that at night he had to get up from bed in his underwear and go grab his pistol, a loaded magazine, and his hat. No round chambered, he was going about his house and aiming his pistol about as though he were in a gun fight.
There's a crash, and a gentleman of African descent had decided to culturally enrich his home and to attempt to economically enrich himself at the home owner's expense.
The gentleman stopped in his tracks as he saw a White man in his underwear with a Nazi hat holding a German pistol.
"Yo, what the fuck?!"
The underpants Nazi spoke the only German he could think of.
"FALLSCHIRMJAGERGEWEHR SCHADENFREUDE!"
He racked the toggle on his Luger, pointed, and fired upon the gentleman as he fled into the night.
Of course I don't believe this story from the internet is actually true... though it'd be kinda hilarious if it was, save for the idea of a reckless gun owner playing about the house with a firearm that has AMMUNITION in it, even if the chamber isn't loaded.
Oh and for those reading this who may not know the German I typed above, it's the full name for the FG42, save for the '42,' and 'schadenfreude' is the German word for experiencing a sense of pleasure due to hardship coming upon someone you don't like.
Also, if anyone reads this story, knows about it, but finds my rendition to be inaccurate... it may well have been 10+ years since I've read it so you'll have to forgive me for not remember it accurately.

You can ride the action after a while. I could dump 7 rounds in my 20ga in/around three seconds. However, I had this shotgun since I was 12 to when I was 28, so after 16yrs.... You can run any manual action firearm at the speed of light
@@Balle20729 if I'm not mistaken, you can't get slam fired shotguns (in the modern scene). Technically they are full auto
@@jessegillmore7228 I think it can only happen with hammer fire shotguns such as the Trench gun because you’re continually making the hammer strike the primer
It's slam fire, after a shell is shot all you need to do is hold the trigger and each pump fires a shell

I'm not American by the way, I'm Canadian. We're lucky to have as many firearms as we do, though there's always efforts to take them away, though thankfully we also have a growing voice that wishes to give us more gun rights. Maxime Bernier of the People's Party of Canada wishes to scrap magazine restrictions, which would be awesome. Semi-auto centrefire firearms here in Canada are restricted to 5 rounds for rifles (including the SKS which itself has a fixed 10 round magazine, M1 Garand is an exception and is allowed 8) and 10 rounds for pistols.
Freedom must be maintained and fought for. Americans learned this the hard way, though many modern Americans are forgetting it. Seems like some people tragically require a reminder. Beautiful to see the Ukrainian government handing out Kalashnikovs to people who are willing to fight for their country, to fight those fucking Russian bastards back to their own shitty authoritarian country where they're arresting people en masse for daring to protest against the invasion of Ukraine.
