You arsenals there is missing a key item that's literally a life saver after storms like Beryl this time of year: a small window ac unit that can be run off emergency power and cool at least 1 room of your house! Having central AC is great, but none of those emergency power devices I see on your bench will pull a central AC system they won't even be able to start the compressor in one. A 5K or 6K window ac unit though, is priceless! Just saying.
This video is not our "arsenal". The products we showed are for people just getting into prepping for grid-down. Personally, we have over 20,000 watt hours of battery backup on our home, including 240v split phase. We can run everything in our house including our central AC. We also have over 3,000 watts of solar panels, and three generators. ~ Chris Heaven, CEO Survival Dispatch
Hello Chris. Thanks again for all the great info! I’ve ordered the Flex Tactical 1500 system with an additional 1 KWh battery bank back in February 2024. Still haven’t received and isn’t expected to arrive until September. Paid well over 4k. I ordered the upgraded 200W Ascent Solar Panels x2. Wondering if I should ask for a refund and purchase this setup? You have way more knowledge concerning this equipment and was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing your thoughts. Thanks much! @@SurvivalDispatch Chris, how long will this run your ac. I have a little Honda 2200, may get the twin to up it to 4400. Got to contact a good electrician. Any advice Buddy?
@@Storm-lg4mx ... If you're referring to the setup we have in our home, our 5 ton AC unit draws ~5,000 watts. If you divide our battery capacity (~20,000 watt hours) that's wired into our panel the AC will run for four hours if nothing else is being drawn. That's why it's important to have a generator or a shit ton of solar panels. When the grid goes down we run one of our generators for an hour in the morning and an hour during the evening and we're good to go on batteries the rest of the time as long as we're careful on what's running. Another big advantage to having lots of battery capacity is that when we run a generator to replenish them, per the scheduled I mentioned, we only burn about a gallon of fuel a day. If you're referring to the combo shown in this video will not power anything that's 240 volts, which I mentioned in the video. The window airconditioning unit at the following link is rated 540 watts. The battery capacity shown in this video is 3,072 watt hours. If you ran nothing but the window ac unit it would run for ~5/1/2 hours (3,072 watt hours divided by 540 watts). www.homedepot.com/p/LG-6-000-BTU-115-Volt-Window-Air-Conditioner-Cools-250-sq-ft-with-Remote-in-White-LW6024RY/327442380 Thank you for following our channel! ~ Chris Heaven, CEO Survival Dispatch
@@SurvivalDispatchwhole house solar is to much investment for me, i use much less KW per year. A battery power station and a small AC unit is much more practical for me. Probably the same for many.
I’ve got a 48v 100 ah deep cycle batteries that run my living room; kitchen area; WiFi during power outages/no sun days. Without having to run my gas generator back up, for two days when I’m not generating solar power due to rain; over cast conditions. Having batteries that I can charge while running my appliances is a game changer in fuel savings.
Just went through Beryll here in Houston, was without power for 5 days. Thankfully I got a Generac installed, so I rode it out pretty easy. Had to shut down to make the break in oil change, very pleased with how easy that was. Rolling the dice that natural gas will remain available during these outages. As a backup, I only have a few Jackery power supply boxes with solar panels. I hope that we're one and done for this hurricane season!
How much has the emp shield gone up with inflation? I remember when they first came out they were $350 guessing they’re 500 plus now or close to it. I’ll check out the website.
They're $400 (give or take a few bucks) depending on the model you choose. The coupon in the video description above gets you $50 off any models you order.
@@SurvivalDispatchNews after I sent that comment I just happened to get an ad from them and their do why but it said it was going for $3600 yes that’s an extra zero. I’m assuming that must be a bigger device for your house but I remember when they first came out you could use the same device for your house or your vehicle. But thanks for the reply and for all your content you provide us with. Semper Fi.
EMP shield Is there a poor mans 30 amp version of that for people on Social security? $400 and up is steep for certain people. I am sure there would be a large market for people with less than 200 amp service. I would buy it as soon as it hit the market!
Nice setup, very interested..wonder if this falls under the tax free month we have in fl? I can see saving up for this ,way more usefull than an ak74... Great info Sir, thank you.

90 percent of people wouldn't survive in the woods.
Great video, thx 🙂
Cutting Edge Power of Texas and Grid Eraser of Wisconsin have solar “generators” that are made in the USA.
