- This is a review on the Elite Option 6, Option 7, Tempo, Impulse 31, and Impulse 34. I tested each bow for speed and noise. Here is a link to all the other review videos I did - • BEST Bow of 2017 - Com...

I picked up a left over elite tempo for like 450 bucks 2 years ago I’ve killed 4 deer with it it’s been a great bow as long as it keeps feeding my family no reason to change. God bless
Awesome
Sean Great reviews, exactly what Ive been looking for! Do you have plans to loo at the obsession line up?
I've tried to get it lined up, but they won't work with me and there aren't any dealers close enough for me to be able to do it. At this point, I view it as on them. I've tried.
Nice job!
Thanks!
Excellent review. Since I posted this in the wrong video, I'm posting this petition again. Would like if possible for you to review both Obsession and Darton. Have been looking at both brands, but due to lack of dealer close to me haven't been able to try a Darton.
I've tried to reach out to Obsession the past two years, and they have not followed up with me about it. There are currently no dealers in a reasonable distance from be, and they have not been willing to help me review their bows. It is a shame. Maybe if more people wrote to them and asked them to participate it might help their response, I don't know. I haven't heard anything bad about their bows, and people that use them seem to like them, but that is all I can say about them. As far Darton, I have not seen a Darton bow since I was a teenager. No dealers anywhere around me. I haven't tried to contact them either, but I can try. However, I'm not going to hold my breath because these companies don't seem to get back to me. God bless ya.
What state you live in?
I've lived in PA for the past 17 years but am moving to Iowa next month.
Sean,
Thanks for another great video. That said I am getting back into archery after 30 years and I shoot a 30 year old Martin Bow (55 lbs @ 50% let-off and using a finger glove). I would like to get a new bow: something to hunt and target shoot with. I recently shot my son’s new bow: a Diamond SB-1 (80% let-off, Release, and a 5-1/4 stabilizer). It was as if I was shooting with my bow 15-20 yards closer, the first time I shot it, and I have never shot with a release before. I know that most of the accuracy increase was because of the 80% let-off and the release. My question is: how much of that do you think was due to the stabilizer, if any? Do you think the extra weight of such a short stabilizer is worth the increase of accuracy (in a hunting situation)? I would love to see a video that has the same type of information as your compound bow reviews--unbiased, hard data. For example, you could run a test with the same shooter, same bow with and without a stabilizer; maybe different length stabilizers. You could also test the same shooter and bow with and without a release.
Thanks
Gary
I honestly don't think the length of the stabilizer makes the biggest difference when they all are shorter like most hunting stabilizers are. I do notice that I can hold steadier with a little extra weight on the bow. It is only when you get into target archery with super long stabilizers that are several feet long that they begin to help balance things extra, such as when someone is walking a tight rope with a long pole to help them balance. But, for the shorter ones, it is more the weight than anything that helps you hold a little steadier..
I own a 70 pound option 7, getting 307 fps with a 380 grain arrow at 28 DL
Awesome
The hoyts back wall when you install the pegs have 0 give. just curious if this is factored in when your testing hoyt backwalls.
I did address that in the review ruclips.net/video/sEtUR3G3irM/видео.html
This video was added as an article to the compound archery report - www.archeree.com
Wow, that's pretty cool! God bless ya.
can you tell what the cam lean is like on the Option 6 and 7 at full draw, this detail is more relative than at static?
And does the draw cycle at 30" have any hump then dump, or over stacking at the last part of the draw cycle mate?
There is some lean. It does not have a big dump.
Ok thanks for the reply...
No problem. God bless you!
Have you considered that the sound meter is picking up the impact of the arrow into the target, and not the sound level of the actual bow?
It is not in this test, as it is clearly visible in the audio track in post production. however, if you watched any of the reviews from this year there have been two bows where the target was too close so the sound was unreliable as I detail very clearly in those videos.
Question: How do you know what sound you measure? You want measure only the bow noise? Or do you think that the noise of the impact at the target will interfere? I guess the noise of the impact is much louder...
The way I have the decibel meter set up, the tripod actually shields it from the direction of the target, whereas the bow is directly in front of it 3.5 feet away whereas the target is 15 yards away. The video cameras are both running and one is more pointed toward the target than the bow. The loudest sound is recorded by the decibel meter which is why I have to hit the button to retrieve it after every shot. When you are there in person, you can tell that when you are holding the bow, the bow is louder than the sound the arrow is making when hitting the target about 15 yards away. Also, I shot all of the bows at the same location in this ship. The BowTech was not only a lot faster, but also quieter. It stands to reason that the faster the bow, the louder the sound the arrow would make when hitting the target due to the increased speed, yet the decibel meter readings for the BowTech were quieter. Hence, I do believe that the meter which is just over 3 feet away from the bow is recording the sound of the bow rather than the target which is shielded from the meter about 45 feet away.
Thanks a lot for your explanations!
No problem. God bless ya!
I actually went back and did some extra testing when I filmed my PSE Evolve review, and it definitely was picking up the bow as the highest sound because of the way I had the whole setup put together.
The arrow hitting the target is louder than the bow. Not sure how the decibel reader can know which one it is recording.
Good grief you have some LONG arms! I'm jealous!! Short arms & small hands, I have to shoot a shorter DL & don't get the speeds. Good video thanks
No problem, thanks for watching
Very goodm bows but i think they must add yoke system.
Yeah, I would like to see that too
What was DL on the option 6 ?
I tried to do them at 30 inch.
@@seansoutdoors hope you can do it in 28”
👍
How tall are you that 30” draw is that damn short?
Over six foot
Nothing in this video is objective. Adwords and words ...You never say negatives for a brand, and there are. Do you want to like everybody ... there is the problem. Be objective!
whatever stefan. Where are your review videos?
