Been waiting for a legitimate review of the Revol for about a year! Happy to see that you liked it. I look forward to trying one out sometime. Also its pronounced Re-Vol. Thanks Steven! 👍
I'm currently shooting the Elite Revol for Target and 3d. It is an absolute tack driver. I used to be a PSE fan but I ended up switching over to an Obsession which then led me to an Elite. Fantastic Review. I dont remember if you mentioned this but the roller guard is also adjustable which makes arrow clearance a non issue or if you wanted the Cams to become straighter at full draw. Absolutely love this bow. It's been out in the states for about a year and a half now and you can find them for half the price now. Highly highly recommended.
It’s about damn time everybody went with no press adjustments. I bought an Elite bow, I live in an out of the way rural place, and I struggled for over a year to get the bow fitted comfortably. Your market lives in the country, fellas. Got a PSE Bow Madness and I messed with it for A DAY, and it was PERFECT. The adjustability didn’t impact performance ONE BIT.
That is (should say WAS) state of the art in 2016. Get with the program Elite, Hoyt, and whomever else is trying to hold back the industry with Ferrari style snobbery. Exactly who are you serving with a stubborn loyalty to outdated tech? What we want is a commitment to traditional quality, not traditional tech.
Every bow doesn’t have to user adjust 10 inches without a press, but in my opinion, they should ALL have a useable range of no press adjustment.
Question; once you've found your draw length, then why do you need to modify it?
Oliver Perkins Every bow and release fits a little different. I have two releases and two PSE bows. I shoot 26.5 on one and 26 on the other. They feel exactly the same at different DLs. If you buy a new hunting release and it has a different stem length, a half inch makes a difference. Also, many bows from factory are an inch or so longer than the specs say they will be at a given setting when timed and tuned. So there is that.
So you order a bow that has “no bow press needed” adjustability, no problem. You order one that has modules that are not included, pain in the ass.
If you are a growing archer, pain in the ass. You want to pass a bow on to someone in your family when you get a new one, pain in the ass. If you are living somewhere where you have to fit YOURSELF to a bow as a new archer the first time, and you don’t want an absolute entry level bow because getting one bow is aggravating enough, pain in the ass. Seeing a pattern?
Some companies do it, and well, why can’t everyone? They can and should. IMHO.
I buy a PSE, I need a torx set. I buy an Elite, I need a $400 bow press. It’s stupid that in this day and age you need to go to this expense and risk to adjust your bow. Bow presses can fail through user error and bad design, and then the archery shop needs to deal with blown up bows and argue over warranty claims, another downside. The idea is to make the sport popular and appealing. I just don’t see how keeping the average Joe from adjusting his bow on a foolproof basis is a positive.
A rotating module adjustment is pretty much foolproof at this point. Remember that everyone isn’t an expert on servicing a bow.
@@TheMasonator777 Agree with everything you said except ** The idea is to maximize the profit of the company with "extras" like modules, special tools etc.
Just a great video Steven all the way around then I really appreciate it it just it's amazing that over these years I've been subbed you really stayed consistent happy New year man
Yearly days Elite Revol was designed as a target bow, Reo was shooting Revol on some of the WA events. No wonder is has like 70% letoff or lower, but Elite for request provides smaller limb stops to increase it to around 85%. Seems like a great all rounder - hunting, target, 3D. Great review and nice shooting Steve.
Really good review, bow looks good I'm buying one after this
Good review as usual mate. Elite bows look well made and have a good reputation but it’s PSE all the way for me. The last year I’ve tried most of the bows you have reviewed and not moved from PSE. Just wish they would make a 33-35 inch sub 4lb metal riser model. The Stealth is great just don’t like carbon riser bows.
I think PSE price their bows well in the market, they have the rotating module which is so easy to adjust and they have a bow for everyone. I would like to compare heads up this bow with the Evoke 35.
I had a guy in my store today about to buy a Hoyt he said what is your best price. I said you won't buy it, he looked at me confused. I said shoot it then shoot the Drive. The Drive was $200 cheaper. He liked the Drive better. When you have all the brands to try then people can see for themselves the bow they like. The Revol is priced higher than most people would like to pay so it is only for the serious archer.
Archery Supplies Totally agree with you about PSE has a bow for everyone. I have been shooting for over 30 years now and had a fair few bows. I respect all the bow manufacturers for what they produce some good some bad. I always come back to PSE they are great 👍. High end bows are nice to own and there’s nothing wrong with having the best. I just find PSE so versatile and archer friendly with the cams draw length etc. Always enjoy your reviews mate especially the PSE one’s.
So you shot the Revol and like it, you shot the PSE Evoke and like it. Which do you think is an easier to shoot well and comfortable bow?
Looking at these two, the Hoyt Helix and the Traverse. My current bow, the Bear Escape, I don't really like it that much as I find the draw quite stiff.
You need to watch the evoke video I cant recall it, i like the modules and price on the Evoke but I shot this bow very well.
Steven, why do you not test your bows with a stabilizer? i know you always use whisker biscuit and cheap sight but why no stabilizer?
How would you say this compares to the elite ritual 33? Why would I choose one versus the other?
in fact the 2017 and 2018 model has not changed anything with 2019 right?
I ordered one and I hope it shoots as great you say. For 699€ its a dealbreaker I think.
Did the draw length change when you adjusted the draw stops?
Revol-loveR ?
Jörg Baumann ha ha I see what you did there!
How about a new target face Steve... Great Review as always
Those stops will effect the speed. The faster it leaves that valley the more speed you will pick up.
What is max draw length you forget to mention!
It really sucks when you have a 32 to 32.5 inch draw all these great bows coming out and very few fit me. I would love to know why if they can get them to 30 why they cant get them to 32 or 33
They are designed for the majority of customers. You will need to be surgically altered.
longer D-loop?
Bow seemed loud. Review Mission by Mathews. You will be amazed at its performance, quietness and affordability. No bow press needed. Thx mate!
That sounded loud to you? o.O
I think you needed a Wind Sock for your Microphone for Xmas
GAS Bowstrings are the best!!!
No there not!
just don't pronounce an extra v at the end? Reevawl is how you would pronounce it.
I wonder if it's supposed to be pronounced like revel... as in you reveled at the amazing bow! I have always said reevawl as well though...
Elite owner use to work for bowtech. They fired him for shacking up with a lady from Hoyt I heard. Then he and his gf started Elite. Elite has to much LO. Less LO = easy to hold back easier to shoot and more accurate. Less LO keeps you honest. To much LO you relax too much and loose focus. The bow will creep.
No love for bowtech sr6.
Loud ass bow
I dislike the non-matching limbs
I like it 🤷♂️😁👍
