- Elite Ethos Compound bow is new for Elite archery a longer version of the Elite Omnia. Axle to Axle 33", Brace Height 6.75", Weight 4.5#, Draw Length 25.5-31", IBO 340 fps.
I discuss the draw cycle of the Ethos. I shoot the Ethos at 18meters while discussing draw length and bow setup.

I really enjoy your reviews I feel they are Honest and straightforward. Thank you for doing this review I am really interested in this bow I'm gonna have to give it a go I can definitely see the Ethos in my collection.
I’ve wondered so many times why you don’t have the bows set up for you on these reviews. Would allow a more exact or comprehensive review?
Because I have all the bows setup the same. If I fitted stabilizers then the setup would be different on each bow. Arrow rests make very little difference. Fitting a peep makes minor difference. I have shot better groups in some of these reviews than I have with my full Target setup. It depends on the bows balance and draw. I normally shoot better with brace height towards 7" and a smooth draw.
I shoot all bows set at factory at 29" so I can compare how the draw length feels.
It takes about 1 hour to shoot a video about that to upload the video, then another hour to edit then about 40 minutes to upload the video. So all up a simple video like this will take me a bit over a half a day.
So shooting at longer distance with better gear would be nice but takes time. I do shoot some bows at longer distance if I like the bow. Last year I tested all the Elites with target setup for indoor and long distance- I shot about the same

Elite brags about how adjustable and tunable these bows are, and I know it’s true because I own one. Why not take 5 mins and make some basic adjustments so it feels better before a review?
He does his reviews straight out of the box. If it needs to be tuned, blame the manufacturer and not the messenger

Thank you, so far out of the 2024 Bows the Elite Ethos has taken top spot. IMO. was really looking forward for Bowtech to shine this year but didn't happen.
I agree I didn’t think this year if buy an elite but that ethos is incredible.

Really enjoy your reviews but a quick adjustment would get you both more hold weight and less draw length. Maybe would result in a better review with the bow how you like it. Thanks
100% This review drove me nuts! He should have taken a couple of minutes to drop the let off down to around 80%. Not only would it have shown how easy it is for an owner to adjust the bow, it would have shortened the draw length enough, and made the holding weight more stable for the wind.
Instead he spent most of the video talking about how he would like more holding weight and a shorter draw length 😒
Making adjustments is hard. It takes time to work out what you prefer. I had 2 PSE Performs exactly the same both were on different draw lengths. I have tried high let off and low let off - it all gets back to the archer and getting use to the gear.

I think elite is too concerned it will take sales from the verdict as a perfect do everything bow. Great review.
The string angle on the ethos and the 35 are the exact same. The riser is actually more than an inch longer on the ethos
@@mikeguy9668 Absolutely! No doubt this is the case. So with the same cam size and another 2” of riser we would have an amazing hybrid bow with a string angle similar to a V37 or older target bow.
I would buy an ethos 35.🙂

it's the same platform.. just smaller cam and shorter max draw lenght to deliver a better performe out this platform for shorter draw shooter.
That's why i will go with a thumb release not back pressure release
What compound bow has shocked you the most in a good way? For example draw weight, Adjustability, ATA etc etc.
I did a review with a really short GearHead it was very short and from memory it shot great. I really liked the Elite Envision.
I also own an Elite with a CBE Tactic Hybrid in single pin as do several people I know in different models of Elite and we all have the same problem. Do you ever have a problem with the control cable partially blocking your sight?
How do you feel tnis bow shoots compared to the era? Which is easier to draw and hold on target?
I have a Kure... really wish this was in 35
Dude adjust the bow. You have the best reviews on RUclips and why in the world can’t you adjust the draw length and let off. Leaving it as-is proves nothing when it’s fully adjustable.
All you did was talk about it. You could’ve adjusted it five times.

How often do you need to change let off when you're NOT a beginner though? I hurt my shoulder and needed to drop my poundage so instead of needing new limbs I just got another module. Now I can go between both within 5 minutes without a press... So much crap on Mathews... Weird now they still outsell elite and pse
It's called marketing and paying pros to use their bows.

Elites marketing is shit. They are so far superior to mathews, but mathews has the best marketing ever
@@mikeguy9668 I don't know how you can compare them like that cause I'm every single independent review I've seen Elite never comes top 2. They're a great cheaper bow, no doubt but they really aren't on the same level.
@@mitchimal sorry bud but thats a ridiculous comment. Nothing cheap about elite at all. Carbon bow of the year last year and aluminum bow of the year. Best grip in the game, easiest to tune and the only bow on the market that you can get perfect draw length. You sound like you don't have a clue what you're talking about

For us Americans 18 meters is 19.6 yards
In most states in the U.S A you have to set your let off at 85% or 80%. To be able to hunt.
What? Where did you get that false info? For entry into record books it’s 75%. No states have let- off requirements to hunt.
@@timbow50 Colorado your bow has to be at 85% let off.
Colorado used to have an 80% max let off rule. There was no minimum. They have since done away with let-off requirement. See page 14 of their reg book.
A lot of states had a MAX let off limit, like Idaho used to be 65%. But most have dropped that requirement, or moved it to 85-90%

My local bow shop stopped carrying elite this year, they just dont sell enough. Elite arguably makes the best bows in the game but their marketing is complete shit. Right now they are a bow for people that know what a good bow is. People new or people that arent avid archers buy what they see all the time like mathews, hoyt, pse. Elite has got to dump some money into marketing

I've been torn between ethos with the smooth mods or kairos.
been shooting a verdict and like it but feel for me its to big and bulky. im only 5feet6 with about a 28.5 -29DL.
would like to ask you whats youre opinion and would be better for me as performance going to a bow that tops out @29.5" or 31"
35" ethos or verdict sounds like godlike for me.
i wish i lived in australia i would bugger you so mutch in the shop :D and picking your brain because of the 40+y of experience
