    I think you will really like the Remedy which is the 34in bow. It has the standard mods on it vs the performance mods that come on the Enkore, so smoother draw without the drop off at the end of the draw. A little slower, but a super sweet shooter.

    Totally agree that I would like to see a 35" as that's not available have ordered the Remedy though my local dealer. Have been shooting an energy 35 for the last 6 years and it just keeps being an honest performer, but its time for an upgrade.

      I don't treestand hunt so I've never minded a longer ATA bow. I feel like I should have bought an Energy 35 years ago...I'm not a huge fan of most of the current bows on the market today.

      @@jw-vx8im yes and no...the shorter ATA is definitely one of the reasons but my complaint with most current bows is the pursuit of being the fastest bow on the market. Aggressive cams and crazy short brace heights make most new bows so unpleasant to draw and shoot for any length of time. I actually did seek out and bought a lightly used Energy 32...wasn't the 35 that I wanted but it's still smooth to draw and not aggressive. Still gets the arrows to the target in a hurry and my accuracy with it is excellent.

      @@jw-vx8im bows are a very user specific thing...you'll have to try some different brands and see what you like. I started with Hoyt because a good friend only shot Hoyt and I knew nothing...didn't like it and eventually tried other things. I tend to like the slightly older Mathews bows (Halon, no cams, etc) versus the new speed bows. Elite has always felt good to me as well as most of their bows focus on smooth draw rather than being the fastest on the market. Hope you find something you like.

    • @2ndAveScents
      @2ndAveScents 3 года назад +3

      I’m sorry, but that’s just not true. Paper tuning is relevant to every archery discipline known to man. Walk back, torque tuning, paper tuning, bare shaft etc. are all critical parts of getting the most out of your bow and arrow whether you shoot indoor target, 3D, or for bowhunting. Yes, you can shoot a perfect score with a bow that shoots nock high or left or whatever, as long as it does the same thing every time. However, a bullet hole tuned bow is going to be far more efficient and effective than one tearing 8 inches of paper because your arrow will fly straight off the bow and thus fly faster with less drag, fly a flatter and more predictable trajectory because of that, and increase your consistency. The amount of people shooting 900’s at Vegas is astronomical compared to what it would have been in the past with bows you couldn’t paper tune. Every single one of those archers are tuning for a bullet hole and likely bare shaft. I doubt the thousands of people shooting at Vegas every year would waste their time tuning if “it didn’t matter because you can shoot a perfect score without it”. That’s like saying you can drive a car with the alignment out by any amount, so who cares if you can adjust it.

    • @jasonito1723
      @jasonito1723 2 года назад +1

      @@2ndAveScents I agree. Saying it's ok to have your arrows dancing in flight is bad practice. In gap situations the arrow will be inaccurate.

  • @5jjt
    @5jjt 3 года назад +1

    Once people can get bullet holes with the cams in line while being inaccurate, they'll move the cams a little bit out of line, to see if that helps their accuracy.

    • @OpiatesAndTits
      @OpiatesAndTits Год назад

      It’s a never ending loop chasing accuracy through cam alignment eventually you’ll tune it back around to a bullet hole :)
      Everyone should buy a cheap Chinese bow like the the sub-400 topoints and junxing’s. It will show you modern compound bows are insanely accurate. Even cheap ones.
      Then check difference between the Chinese bow and your performance bow. That’s the difference equipment makes - everything else is you.

  • @scotteger6271

    I feel like Elite's thinking is, if they have the bow stand-in for your hunt, and you have to use it, you'll be a customer for life. It's like most warranties or guarantees...like insurance companies have actuaries and algorithms for cars...they assume the vast majority of customers will never use it.
    They probably can't/won't send it directly to where you're hunting, they'd probably send it to the largest city closest to that location. I don't know that for sure, but that would be my guess.

    Know what you mean about delivery times, it's the same with Arco Spigarrelli. They say all their products are custom orders. Rubbish. It's not true, they produce a batch of the exact same bow, then move on to the next colour in the same length, then the next until they've done their run on that model, then they do another run with each individual colour of the next model.... So if you miss the boat with your order, you have to wait until the cycle comes round again... This can be anything from 4 weeks to six sodding months, because they take a long break in the summer and another over Xmas.... Fantastic products, and very good value, but supply is so unpredictable, and often ridiculously long. I suspect it's the same for compound bow manufacturer you're having issues with. Bloody frustrating.
