    Got my first compound bow this year at bakers. I ended up going with the prime. Good review, and it was neat seeing a review done at my local archery store. 👍👍👍

    Great review. I would like to see you do a review on the PSE Evolve bow.I'm sure it will be at the top of your list. It would be great if you could add Finish, Grip and Balance of the bows to your review.

      I am lined up to do on the Evolve in a week or so. I did shoot one already at the Great American Outdoor show, and they are diffidently nice. I can try to include some of the details you asked about in next year's reviews. I'd rather keep everything consistent for this year.

    Hey Sean. I am looking to start doing archery and I love your videos. Could you please do a video on some beginner bows such as the diamond infinite edge and the bow tech fuel? Would be much appreciated. Another thing you might be able to do in your reviews is to use the bow for a few hours and see how you like the performance perhaps.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      Jack, have you watched these videos I have done on entry level bows? ruclips.net/video/_sT0UfjWIg0/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/E8Wc9XrL_yE/видео.html
      or the Diamond SB-1 - ruclips.net/video/zqUvs_nd8Js/видео.html
      As for your asking for me to use a bow for a few hours, I apologize, but that is simply not logistically possible. For one, dealers or manufacturers don't just loan me bows to play with. I usually have to go to a pro shop to do these reviews, and they don't want me in the shop getting in the way of business all day long for days on end just so I can use each bow for several hours first. Secondly, I could only imagine doing something like that if I was getting paid a full time salary to do that and could afford to just go play with one particular bow for 3 hours at a time and then move on to the next bow to play with for hours, and then the next etc. But I just can't do that. As such, these review videos are about the best I have to offer right now. If companies or pro shops sent me a bow to use, that would be a different story, but as of right now, this is the best I can do. Sorry. God bless you.

    That centergy is a unique bow from reviews a smaller lower cam to keep the grip in a more balanced area for aiming and the nock travel test was perfect on the draw and power stroke wonder how it groups

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад +1

      You sound like one of their sales reps, lol. Accuracy and grouping is in the hands of the shooter, not so much the bow. If you have good form and hold steady, you can shoot any bow with accuracy. When I shot these bows I didn't feel any difference in them holding steady compared to the Matthews Halon bows I shot a few minutes before shooting these. I think the real selling point for me regarding these bows is that they give you a free set of strings every two years. Other than that, they were significantly slower that most of the other bows in comparison and not as quiet as a lot of the competition.

    • @coltonbohl96
      @coltonbohl96 6 лет назад

      Sean's Outdoor Adventures You are the only person ive heard say that this bow is “signifigantly” slower than all other bows and people have done laser tests to prove the bow holds better than others, also the prime shoots a heavier arrow faster than the halon so i dont quite believe it is too slow.

    • @seansoutdoors

      Well, that is how the bow behaved in the review.

    Which other bows use limb stops? Can't wait for your top rated bows!

      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад +1

      Xpedition and Elite are two bows that I shot that have them, and there are probably some other brands out there that do.

    Nice review. Would like if possible you could reach Obsession and Darton, and give your oppinions. While I try an Obsession and really liked it, there is no Darton dealer around me.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      I've tried to reach out to Obsession the past two years, and they have not followed up with me about it. There are currently no dealers in a reasonable distance from be, and they have not been willing to help me review their bows. It is a shame. Maybe if more people wrote to them and asked them to participate it might help their response, I don't know. I haven't heard anything bad about their bows, and people that use them seem to like them, but that is all I can say about them. As far Darton, I have not seen a Darton bow since I was a teenager. No dealers anywhere around me. I haven't tried to contact them either, but I can try. However, I'm not going to hold my breath because these companies don't seem to get back to me. God bless ya.

    Hi Sean, are you still shooting and happy with the Ripcord Ace? Thinking of getting one for my new Hoyt over a QAD HDX. Love your reviews and Awesome job!
    THANKS!

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      Yeah, I am really liking that rest. It hasn't flawed or failed on me. I also have the QAD, but I don't trust it on any of my Hoyt Bows because Hoyts (the ones that I have) are cable stops for the draw stops, and there is the possibility of a little play or creeping with that. QAD rests can easily misfire in those situations if you come off the draw stop wall a hair, which happened to me once. Limb stop bows on the other hand are a lot more solid and so I have never had a QAD fail on me with a limb stop draw stop.

    Great review very detailed only question I have is the bow sounded loud in the video was it loud in person? Also how is the valley on the bow I currently have agenda 6 really like it but want something with higher let off and more forgiving the bow didn’t seem to be slow for a 333 FPS bow.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      It was one of the loutder bows I shot. The valley is okay.

    As always great review! I've been shooting an Obsession Fusion 6 for the past couple years and looking at switching to another bow. I shoot 30.5"DL 70# but I'm actually a 31"DL and at 70#. I have been looking at and shot a Bowtech Reign 7 , PSE Evolve35 and a Mathews Halon 32. The Halon is out as the back wall is to "mushy". My questions are how does the back wall on the prime compare to the Bowtech and PSE? And how "easy" is it to hold your shot in your opinion? The nearest Prime dealer is hours away and my work schedule is hard to work around .One thing I miss about PA is there isn't a lot of bow shops here in SC compared to back home.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      Prime has limb stops so is more solid than PSE or BowTech. Bowtech back wall was the best as far as solid for a cable stop bow out of the ones I tested. I personally liked the BowTech and PSE better than Prime, but everyone has their own preferences.

      Sean's Outdoor Adventures thanks for the reply! Im going to try and make time to go test a prime and an Elite Option 7 and I definitely agree with you on the back wall of the Reign 7. So far the Reign is getting me pretty close to pulling the trigger on it. Again thanks for the reply ,the great videos and wish you the best this season!

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      Great. Good luck to you. I'll be honest, I am really loving my Reign 7. I call it click click bang, because the bow makes the quietest click noise when it goes off it is amazing. Quietest bow I have ever owned, I just can't get over it, lol. I'm having fun with it. I'm shooting mine on comfort setting and it is just so smooth. Anyway, hope you get to try out the ones you want. Good luck to you.

    Sean u never talked about the balance of the new riser if it holds steady compared to other bows

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад +1

      That is because it didn't seem any better or different than any of the other bows I shot. I'm not a salesman for these companies, so I am not making videos to spout off the things they say to try to sell their bows. I just say what is a clear observation and also note the speed and noise of the bow. Hope you found those facts and details helpful if you are looking to buy a bow. God bless you.

    Hey sean looking to get into archery target shooting any recommendations for bow and setup

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      I guess budget is always a limiting factor for some. If I was buying a target bow, I would definitely look at Hoyt. They have some really nice target bows. Elite has some long Axle to Axle bows, which is often what you want when it comes to target shooting. Having that shoot through riser like Hoyt is really nice too, but I've seen some other brands sort of copying it now. I don't know where you live, but Lancaster Archery usually has a good selection and you could shoot multiple bows to see what you like. The Matthews Halon is pretty nice too.

      They were not much different than other bows that I shot this year.

    prime or expedition?

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      My personal preference is Xpedition over Prime but that is just me. Xpedition are so easy to tune and they are equally as smooth and also have a limb stop for a back wall, yet Xpedition are a lot faster. However, those are details that play into some of my personal preferences and there isn't much objective about it. I wouldn't want to sway you against one brand, but rather, I would encourage you to try both and see which one you like more. God bless you.

    • @seansoutdoors

      Lol, yes, I had two of them last year and that is what I hunted with all season last year. They are nice. I sold the one I hunted with and will probably sell the other now that I have a Denali. Also I have a video on how to tune them, which is the first one I bought. Here is a link if you want to watch it. ruclips.net/video/sNrSkpgleGI/видео.html

  • @ObamaOsucksOass

    I don't know if you got good intel or not. The Centergy Hybrid comes in up to a 31" Draw.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  7 лет назад

      I'm not sure what you are referring to exactly. I noted on the specs at the end of the video that the bow goes to 31 inch draw. I also explain in the video that the dealer where I filmed this video only had 29 inch draw modules in stock, so, again, I really am not sure what you mean.
