I am a Left Handed player, and my Miura iron set is MB-8501. 3 iron to Pitch Wedge.

Nice review. I have the 501's in (4-7) and the Tournament Blades (8-PW). I've been using them for the past 3 years and couldn't be happier with the results. I considered switching to the CB57 when they were released but I prefer the slightly higher launch of the 501 along with the increased forgiveness.
Nice video. I have the CB57 and love them. Shame you tore the range up like that though. You should learn how to take divots on a range.
I got them. They have the KBS tour C-tapered lite shafts. So far so good. I like the solid feel of the CB501. I got them used but they were in pretty good shape with hardly any scratches. They are a beautiful set of irons. I would have preferred the baby blades but your video swung me over.

I don't get it. There wasn't any description of how the two irons compared. Feel, design attributes, physical attributes, ball flight characteristics could all be mentioned. And then at the end you state that the 57 is one of the best clubs you've ever hit, but you're putting the 501s in you bag...Care to elaborate?
Agree, he could have given more details here. Personally, I think he was hitting a draw because of the shaft he had in the CB57s. Unless the 57s have a ton of offset compared to the 501s there is no reason they would draw the ball more unless there is a shaft difference. Personally, I have heard the 57s are the ultimate (unless you are going pure blade then 001 or 101 (latest)) but ballstriking has to be spot on. May try the 57s in the next week or so as well as the 101's and 501s.
Great review. Just curious what iron were hitting at the beginning of the video, 3-4-5-6- iron? It was definitely a low piercing flight.

Tigers irons sound the exact same. I am sold that Tiger is playing Miura irons with nike logos.

***** yes, and Mr Miura grinds two models of the old model Titleist for him, up to the 5 iron its one model and 6-PW its another, i don't remember the models off hand, but if i go look later i will post them.
I heard the same thing a while back. Wouldn't surprise me if Rory is doing the same thing. They both play blades, and if you look at the Miura blades, they look very similar to the ones they both play that have that _"Nike"_ logo on them. Anyway, I don't know for sure about Rory, but I have definitely heard the same thing about Tiger. I currently have the CB-501's, and it kinda took all of my willpower to not get the "Small Blades" they make. Maybe in a few years. I was actually hitting the blades better in the sim, but they were both very close, and I figured I have just as many bad days as I do good ones, if not more, so a little forgiveness couldn't hurt anything. I do absolutely adore the sight of those blades though.
What did you like better of the 501's over the CB 57's? Dou you still play them? Very nice ball striking. I get fitted for these on May 11th. Can't wait.

Great review! Im in the market for irons and was considering the miura cb2008. I was told this is more a game improvement set. What are your thoughts here?
I tend to hit my balls with a slight fade. Hcap of 7. Never really used GI clubs before, so im not sure how it will work out.

Man I guess I would just like to hear the rational behind selecting the 501's compared to the 57's...left me hanging there :) Are the 501's more 'forgiving?' I just bought the 501's, but I'm also tempted to buy a set of 57's to just compare and play with.

Hi Christo, I've become an admirer of yours in recent months. I've been playing for 10 years and struggle for consistency. My offical handicap is 18 but have played to 9 or 10 over on numerous occasions. I started getting into Ben Hogan after buying his book five lessons. I enjoy watching you hit the ball but would find it helpful if you could indicate which club you are using when hitting irons. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration.

Hey Christo you never mentioned in the video why you preferred the 501`s over the 57`s?? I`m interested as we don`t have Hogan dealers here in the UK you see.
They were both superb but it was most likely a shaft that was better suited to my game.

KBS Tour 120 in the CB57 and Rifle 6.5 in the 501's if I remember correctly.

I've got the CB-501's and also have the big draw with the longer irons. I think it's just my swing though. You sure do look like Hogan with that hat and that swing, lol. Which reminds me, nice swing. :)

In your opinion would you go with the new mizuno jpx 900 tour irons or the miura 501 irons? I can't decide which ones to get. I've tried the mizuno and they're great but haven't tried the miura but just from videos I've seen of the miuras makes me want to buy them. I'm a solid ball striker so I don't think I would have any problem buying a set I've never tried out before. I found a really good deal on the miuras and wanted to see if I can get an opinion from you. Thank you.
I haven't hit the jpx 900's so I can't make a real recommendation except to say you probably can't lose either way!

Its like a plastic plate yet its rectangular and you hit the ball of it

I currently play S Yard GT-S irons which are forged by Endo, and put them up against Miura MB 5003s. Puring both yielded not only a better feel but I got a tad more distance from the GT-Ss. I was really looking forward to finding an excuse to put some Miuras in my bag, because I have heard so much about Miuras. But for me, the GT-Ss are better. I'd love to put either the CB 501s or the CB 57s up against mine to compare CBs.
If possible, I will post a vid of the comparison in a week or so.
Those Miuras are absolutely stunning though, and the blades look even better.

The baddest Miura is the 202 in the cb category!! It has the least amount of offset. 501’s were my least favorite! Too much offset!! Cb 1008 is also bad ass!!

myswingevolution Hey mate, I just mean their productions are limited to the point they do not put out left handed clubs, at least this was the case in the past. Just checking now they do have some sets in lefty but still limited, given the range of options in rh.
