What I learned from this video:
    1) Overconsumption and overindulgence in technology is limiting our true potential in life
    2) Overconsumption is convenient and convenience/comfort is addicting and gives us an excuse to overconsume
    3) There is so much more to life than just our screens
After watching, I did 20 push-ups on my knuckles. This video really touched me since though I have been off social media for half a year now, I still find myself consuming on RUclips and not applying what I learned into my actual life. I will keep trying to improve myself. To anyone reading this, I wish you the best and hope that you can find peace and balance in your life. If you read this Shimon, I want to thank you for pushing everyone to be our best selves and continuing to provide value to us, you are truly an inspiration brother.

I was watching this while I was working out. Right before this, I was going to do it, but I told myself no, and got up and went to workout. The lesson I learned was to take it step by step. When you do that, even though it’ll take time, you won’t feel as overwhelmed. Thanks Shimon, for all you say. I don’t want to fall back into the hole that is porn. I was 22 days free, but I did it yesterday. Now I have to start all over again. But at the end of the day, it was a mistake, and I’ll learn. Sorry for the long paragraph. God Bless ✌️

-Your mind enjoys mindlessly scrolling addictive cause it is easy to do and it feels good
-Your brain loses something when it is put into one confined space
-Watch about how social media is affecting your life

    Shimon my dear friend,
You have become more powerful than you could ever know. You've touched countless stained souls with your light and mine was no exception. Seconds before this video started, I was in the restroom, getting ready to do the unspeakable to myself. But your words reached me today. I sat over myself wanting to indulge so bad but you begged me not to and I'm so glad I listened. I have made so many better, conscious decisions because of our conversations. Yes, you may be speaking into a microphone and staring at a camera, but Shimon your words and your energy is REAL! As many others have said, you have tailored your words in such a way that makes us feel like you're here in the room with us. Without a doubt, your presence in my life, however digital, has begun to make profound repairs to my spirit and for that I can't be grateful enough. After your video ended, I went and did some pushups, cleaned up my room a bit and enjoyed some other monotonous tasks and I'm happy to report that my temporary urges went away. I'll be more ready to fight them now because of you.
Thank you, Shimon. I know this is a long one. I won't fault you for missing this essay of a comment but if anyone is still reading, I love you, I'm happy to be amongst a tribe of such beautiful people and let's all kick life's ass together.

    3 things i learned/took note of;
1 - We really have grown into goldfish mentality, i can remember being a kid in the late 90s and i think a lot about what my kids have access to comparatively. electronic handheld entertainment used to by SNES, N64, PS1, Gameboy Pocket. theres something missing these days. i remember a game used to be a whole package, play till beat. nowadays its a minigame madness scenario on things like kids tablets where there are so many little games that also have pay walls and ads.
2 - A lot of us have been programmed to isolate in some way shape or form, and we have the power to change that within ourselves if we learn how to use the power.
3 - Shimon can edit videos all on his own 😅
i hit them 15 pushups too, and did some tai chi movements

    Firstly what I learned
    1) I didn't improve because of my bad loop which is about falling down in the trap of screens, then work super hard (cramming), having the need to rest so I let myself falling in this trap of instantly dopamine
    2) Do effort isn't a bad thing at all
    3) Comfort ruins everything I have.
Now I will get out of bed, and learn to spend my time in a better way. I will learn how to make effort in every aspect of my life.

I am going to workout today!! I personally think my attention span isn't that bad, but it can be better, and while i quit using my phone all the time, now i am always on my laptop, and i have to stop. i'm going to only use it for assignments and then a maximum of 2-3 hours for my mindless scrolling, while I can do other things. I just remembered that when I was a kid, the reason I was so much happier is because I would spend hours outside just playing in the grass or making soup with leaves and mud. and when I would go inside I would play games with all my teddy bears and toys and we would pretend to be a family. IT WAS SO FUN. i never cared what anyone thought, i wasn't as afraid to talk to people even though i was always shy. THANK YOU for this video!!

You have made me stop being addicted to all the cheap social media content, and thanks to you I just went outside and did 30 knuckle pushups, bit harsh on the hands but unlike the damage and time loss that addiction do, those wounds can heal. I coincidentally also heard a pigeon (or "childhood bird" as everyone calls it) outside again, and that made me very happy. Glad to be sent one of your videos by a good friend of mine a couple weeks ago, and I hope everyone here will continue to grow. • @lotuselvira

Thank you for this wonderful video! I love your ability to cover a wide variety of topics covered thoroughly in such short time. This is what I took away:
    1. We are confining our very life force to small, digitally constructed boxes. This can be very damaging, as shown with animals kept in zoos - we essentially restrict ourselves from growing, exploring, learning and living.
    2. Due to a surplus of external dopamine, we have become desensitized to all aspects of life that used to provide us with happiness when we were younger. Hence people do not find joy in simple activities, such as climbing a tree, or taking a brisk walk through nature.
    3. Many would prefer actions that are simple, easy and convenient over something that requires either mental or physical effort.
    4. Humanity inherently has the desire to make things, to manipulate our environments into fulfilling our wants and needs. Technology has simplified the processes of doing so, but in turn has encouraged us to be lazy.
    5. Our attention span is extraordinarily fucked. This is certainly due to social media and its abundance of short form content, with its users having multiple points of stimulation simultaneously. This has affected most, if not all aspects of our lives. As Shimon states, many cannot even watch a movie without subtitles (another point of stimulation). When attending to activities, even such as watching a youtube video, the mind is preoccupied with a million other things; disrupting our focus entirely.
    6. We are hooked to our bad habits that provide the detrimental dopamine as mentioned in the second point. Many refuse to accept the hard truth that they are addicted/hooked, and hence cannot isolate the cause and develop solution to the problem at hand. The first step to remedy an addiction is acceptance of it, and then taking action to avoid the trigger of it.
I followed your advice and spent some time out in my garden with my cats. May you have a blessed day brother, and I'm proud of you for providing clarity to so many people in their times of struggle

Before watching the video I got outside and I saw two mantis, I started playing with them while I saw them walking on my hands. When you say we have to stop overstimulating ourselves with all the bad things the internet and social media have, I realized that after deleting Instragram (I spent more than 9 hs per day) I get into RUclips videos resuming series or just mindless scrolling into the shorts. I want to change that after the video. It's still hard being without Instragram because it was my escape to responsibility, but now I have more time to do things I like.
I started studying how to edit videos and how to use apps for sound editing as a gift I always wanted to do. I still need to work with the RUclips thing, I still have it only for you and other series I follow daily. But I promise to get out of the mindless scrolling and start improving more in the thing I want to change.
Like always thanks for your content and for trying to help others when you're also doing the best you can to have the best version of yourself.
I hope anyone here can achieve their goals and change the things they want with effort and consistency, the best of luck for everyone

This video is another eye opener for me. I’ve already been doing good on no porn, almost a whole month, I know I’m not out of the clear yet but it definitely feels better. I deleted instagram a week or 2 ago to limit the triggers but also to limit my mindless scrolling. My only issue is RUclips at this point, and it’s 90% shorts. I’m going to limit the amount of time I scroll on shorts, or just not watch them anymore. Like you said in the video it over stimulates and makes your brain feel tons of emotions in a short amount of time. It’s midnight and I got school tomorrow, but I’m gona hit the gym and go on a run. Great video bro.

i have to say, my life has been slowly improving after finding your channel, man. I finally managed to get away from porn, i’ve been using my phone and other devices way less (still working on using them even less), and after watching this video, i’ve just done 20 pushups in a row, which is the most i’ve done so far. These videos are phenomenal, man. Keep up the good work! 👍👍

i respect you, in alll the videos i’ve watched about anti pornography from men, not a single one of them talked about the exploitation they use to make that type of content. there’s a wide lense one has to take to look at it, the damaging effects on the brain and body, and also the women involved in creating it.

I just did 6 pistol squats and journaled about how I used to make games out of sticks and rocks as a kid and would never be bored. I realized I was never this stuck and miserable before, something changed but that doesn’t mean I can’t change once more. This time towards mental discipline and freedom. Thank you for this video

Even if I already know that it’s good. It’s nice to know people still are helping others. I’ve been wanting to start back up my RUclips channel. Journaling just isn’t enough to express how I really feel about life. I’m so grateful for the people around me. Everything is so much nicer. Just being able to tune out what people say about you. Because it doesn’t matter. Should I just start on my phone? I’ve been trying to get my discipline up as well. Keeping good habits even if it’s hard. Because I know it’s going to pay off. Like cold showers. I dunk my face in ice cold water. Even if it doesn’t work to help me. It’s helping me dicipline myself.

Man you put into words everything I’ve ever thought about the current state of the younger generation. It’s truly heartbreaking how many young kids are allowing excessive social media and pornography consumption to rot their minds. I truly hope the right people find this video and start to take action before it’s too late.
I was on twitter yesterday just for a bit and I’ve noticed it’s now a onlyfans promo fest, the amount of promo ads for onlyfans models is truly sickening. It’s like they want pornography to be the way of the world. This is not a world we really want to create for the future generations.
Porn has become so normalised that kids are thinking it’s completely acceptable to indulge in. I’ll be real though I don’t even blame these kids either because it’s what they’ve been exposed to and see normalised they don’t know any better.
Much respect to you for you consistent uploads you deserve every bit of love and respect appreciate you brother ❤️

I learned that I should be on my phone less possibly turn it all the way off, I learned I need to stop taking the comforting and stimulating path because life is meant to be simple, and I learned by acknowledging those things and by knowing what I am doing and why i'll be able to get out of my head and take action. After this I will exercise and read.

After watching this video I decided to practice playing my guitar which I haven't touched in months, did a couple pushups, and went out to hoop with friends. As a bonus I also unsubscribed from channels I don't watch anymore, especially ones that are more focused on shorts so that I can enjoy longer, more useful content. Thanks Shimon!

The 3 things I learned simplified
Lock away phone, memory is flawed from years of overstimulation, smoking, and pushing out problems. It won’t be easy but if you don’t change jt won’t get better.
    What I did
20 push ups, got some water and ate some grapes now I’m about to go outside and breathe

I feel like overstimulation is gonna be the end of our humanity. In the near future VR and AI girlfriends are gonna be the norm, replacing genuine human interaction. Too much "good" isn't right for a human. Problems exist for a reason. Guys please stop overstimulating yourself, you're only making everything worse.

You spitting once again. 2 days ago i told myself im gonna stop chasing content to run from boredom and stop beating my shit just to see what i could get from it. Instead i just sit there with my thoughts. Come up with creative ideas. Think about what influences my decisions in life. Think about that girl that ive been trying to heal from and how to let go of her. And i found so much motivation and drive from just myself. Instead of getting on youtube i looked into college. i practiced piano. wrote some ideas for some characters for a story i want to write and that was the best day I’ve had in a long time. All the stuff ive been procrastinating doing i just simply wanted to be there and present with it. Just one day and the difference was extremely noticeable. I don’t want to go back.

    1. Overstimulation comes mostly from our phones, so the easiest way to get away from the hook is just to shut down your phone when you dont truly need it
    2. Short attention span keeps one away from high-effort high-reward tasks
    3. There is greater purpose than to be enslaved by our desires
