Been dealing with this shit these past couple months, it's ended my relationships and put me in a depression. I found this channel, started therapy and read Tuesdays with Morrie. Life is hard but it is so very good, I'm glad to have this life and every experience in it.

you know i always come on here and listen to davis and makes me feel better . honestly, i sometimes always feel like a lose with all this love thing and connection to/with people. makes me act scenes in my head and this ends up fucking me up. not even google really helps with nothing. i hope someday i will be able to fully function without looking at myself as a less-of-a-person to other 'cool' guys out here. man, it is difficult when nobody knows you but you and you cannot help them understand you. but thanks davis. since i discovered you, i try as much as i can to work on myself. and even though somedays i fail, i hope i will see a happier me when i get at the finish line look back and thank myself for all i did for myself.

30 year old here and I can feel everything you said because I’m dealing with a lot but physically I take care of myself it’s just other things like finances and wanting to give my kids a better lifestyle just feel like I’m failing but I keep going

Hey man, I am taking a time to write this! Since I started watching your videos my life and my perspective has changed completely. I am learning how to love my self and figuring out what causes was leading me to make me feel the way I feel. After a while people started to notice that changed and in order to help them too I shared what I learned from this pure and real guy and even showed them his videos, which by the way the loved and even got started in their journy of their own development! Appreciate this, I always feel like I'm coasting through life and not working towards anything. Looking at decisions from the perspective of "is this helping me?" seems valuable and I'm going to implement this in my life.
Damn shimon, I've been struggling with trying to get in a relationship with a girl for the past weeks, I struggle to express my feelings the right way, as I have insecurities whether I look good enough, social skills etc... Because of you and your vids, I always remind myself that this is the first time I'm trying to do this and that I'm just a human, yeah, wish me luck I guess, and thank you, the first video I saw from you popped up at my lowest, and it really helped me.
Respectfully, the name of the idea of self-love is a misinterpretation. The idea is right, but it should be called "self-love." You're the only soul in your body. You'll go crazy having conflicts or interactions with imaginary versions of you.
Its like saying water needs to moisturize itself, when in actuality, you just need to take out the things that dry you out from within, whether you were directly belittled or berated or whether you indirectly fostered an inferior mindset from media, society, expectations, etc.
We inevitably pick up on negative things that mostly will not serve us in the long run (unless you're able to cautiously utilize that negativity). Yet, it's always our responsibility to sift out those drying agents sucking the joy out of our lives if we demand a better quality of life.

edit: I said I loved myself out loud and my mom was like " wow you're so selfish" even tho i tried to tell her loving yourself means that you just value, respect and honor yourself. sheesh, I'm trying my very best though to love myself and not let anything get me down :') I bet that I'll come back to this video again soon tho.
