WHAT POWER DID MY STAGE 2 MK7 GOLF R MAKE AT MRC TUNING

- So, if you have been watching the previous videos for my Mk7 Golf R, I have documented it from Standard, Few Bolt Ons, Stage 1 and Stage 2 with Racingline ECU and TCU maps. I recorded the following figures with my Racingline Maps
Std....... - 315bhp and 310ft/lbs
Stage 1 - 363bhp and 375ft/lbs
Stage 2 - 367bhp and 406ft/lbs
Stage 2 - 370bhp and 420ft/lbs (updated map)
This was still down on power, so I decided to have a drive up to MRC Tuning, for a custom map.

As you can see, a few issues were found, so possibly my car would have made more power on the rollers with the Racingline Map, but I now have the added bonus of even more power, a new High Pressure Fuel Pump, and the gearbox/clutch slip eliminated.

I was just watching this video and seen the recommendation for a loba fuel pump. I just ordered one this second as in a few days I want to go stage 3. Nice to see the recommendation.

Nice mate, I was at R-tech yesterday for stage 1 map I made 389 bhp & 417 torque
Nice numbers. I found mine lost power after a few runs at stage 1. Needed the intercooler fitted.

I asked for NO pop and bang tune to be added, as one of my Racingline maps had it, and it was the worst thing ever. So any burble is just the exhaust setup.

What’s your exhaust set up
Scorpion sports cat. Std cat back with res box still there, and a custom back box from powerflow, with original valves reused.
I am not so sure Racingline will appreciate you callling their maps generic if the boost pipe was loose and your clutch was slipping.Also for a 2 L to be punching over 300hp is still bannanas so calling it down on power is hilarious. 401hp /298kw is 200hp/147kw per L =Koenigseg specific output.
If it came across as me having a go at Racingline, that was not intended. The map is a generic one, but would have probably made the expected power it should of, If I didn't have the issue, approx 380bhp. The clutch, however, was slipping on the old map, and the new MRC Tuning one, has fixed that. I have also gained a little more power, and some safe fueling.

Lot of people classing stage2 as just a down pipe now days full stage2 is all 3 modifications downpipe /r600/ intercooler then it’s stage2 called stage2 plus now days ha
I thought it was always all 3. No point in mapping for more power, without the intercooler, as it will just get heat soak, and drop all the power you made.

Proper map.. racing line are shite 🤮clutch slipping off a stage 2 map # cowboys your lucky your didn’t have to put clutches in.
