Was watching full boost few days ago they done a white mk8 R , I wonder if it’s the same map file, those guys know what their doing.

I had the mk 7.5 dsg for 3 years at a ridiculous price of £220 a month, tried to extend for a 4th year and they wanted £498 a month 😔 to claw back some money. It was a cancelled order from a leasing company. It put a smile on my face every day ☺️. I would love the new one but stuck with a landrover now 😔.

Great video and really interesting to see the results! I have to say the weight gain for the MK8 compared to an RS3 or a MK7 R really does impact the full potential on the MK8 R. All the OPF's and extra safety structure does it no favours on that side. Looking forward to your future changes to your 8R to see where it can go 👍
Idk if it varies from country to country, the 8R sold in my country does not have the dual OPFs if you select the Performance package
I know the feeling man! I staged 1 my mk7 R about 2 months ago, landed on 365 hp and it's just nuts what a difference!

Very good gains for a stage one with no mods.Over run is ok if it’s natural but when it’s fake I think it sounds silly.Looking forward to the mods and seeing the R come together mate 🚂🔥🧨

Great to see some flashes finally coming through for the MK8 🙌🏻 that lag that you mentioned was that in the gear change by any chance?
10.15 seconds with slope correction is really strong for just software, my upgraded turbo mazda 3 Mps does mid 9s for reference (dynod at 393hp and 542nm) and that has plenty of hardware mods😯

Im not sure if Euro dynos are different but these stock numbers are extremely high, works out to 330 hp and 330 ft-lb at the wheels. In the US a stock R MK8 makes around 305 hp and 295 ft-lb at the wheels and an additional 50 hp and 65 ft-lb with stage 1 ECU flash. Theae values are with 91 octane.

A stock a45 has 500nm and not 550nm, and is heavier than the Golf.

Removing the snow tray in the bottom of the airbox actually makes a difference then the mk7 had them too

wouldn't be surprised if owners of mk7 golf r/gti or 5f cupras will try to see if the continental turbo from the mk8 r fits then can see them going this route for a mild tune without the reliability issues of the is38
Already been checked and its not worth it as the intake and downpipe side are different. Possibly other things aswell
5 pot has an aluminum block, ea888 is cast iron. Massive difference in weight.
40 45 is best thickness for this cars tires

I tend to overservice anyway compared to factory schedule even if the car was standard. But yes I would do it more regular if tuning.
