- We stuck a RS3 DNWA engine in a Mk7 Golf R, capable of over 1000hp (next episode), here's the process of such a massive build, enjoy!

Epic. I've had 3 RS3's and 2 golf R's. Prefer the R but obviously 2.5! This is the dream. Would love to know total cost, must be close to 60k all in.

got a question. Im trying to swap a 07k from a jetta into my 8v s3. do you think it will work with the dq250 ? do i need a transmission adapter plate
Which gear box would you swap on 2008 Audi A5 3.2 Quattro?
The reason behind the swap is because it does not want to select reverse.
sound very German, can't be French cos they love going in reverse ;)

also very technical and difficult and time consuming to get it right and get it working properly, not for the faint hearted

it's not cheap, however, you can't put a price on something like this!
Sweet build! My only question I’m left with: why not just buy the damn RS3? Seems like a lot of work for some extra trunk space 😂
Smaller, lighter, different, handles drives and feels different, some people might like a Golf and not an RS3, but want the power of an RS3, so why not ;)
How much does it cost tho that’s my thing I wana do it to my Jetta which is a 2.5 inline 5 but I mean I don’t want it costing as much as a new RS3

Don't listen to David, he is a little loopy, the benefit of putting an RS3 engine in a Golf like this, or any other vehicle such as a Caddy etc, you get all the raw power and torque of the RS3 engine, in a smaller package like the Golf, plus it's cool to have the power of an RS3 stuck into something much smaller, feels more powerful, moves differently, and looks completely stock at a glance, benefits of both

@@davidanderson5411it’s only a couple hundred pounds lighter. The reason for the swap is because it’s bad ass and a sleeper. Some people prefer the look of a golf also
Awesome works lads 👍 Seeing that on the road it looks standard (although it obviously won’t sound it), you’d never guess what’s under the hood until provoked. I’m sure you will, but those brakes and suspension will definitely want upgrading, don’t think VAG intended 4 digit BHP speeds when originally spec’ing them 😂
