Mat, you are basically making documentaries to the level that you'd see out of a full blown production crew from a major network. I was captivated for the entire 3 hour period. It's crazy to think that they are spending millions to make those films when you are doing this as a 1 or 2 man show. The production value is top notch, please continue to upload compilations like this that take us from start to finish (even if in real time it takes weeks/months!). Thank you!!
Completely agree, wasn’t sure 3 hours would work but it’s like a new format of a top gear special, works brilliantly and the editing is brilliantly done.
I agree 100%. The production value is impressive. the narration, easy going, music choices, well balanced in detail and progress. it's just a really good docu.
This is better than most of the car shows on Netflix/Prime/Disney etc. Give this guy a proper budget, crew and let him focus on the motor magic. Amazing what you can do with passion and personality. God bless from Fiji.
I've had Porsche's for 30 years, all mostly serviced by me. Yours is BEAUTIFUL. I always loved yellow, CONGRATULATIONS on your patience. The hood lock sounds BRILLIANT when you close the bonnet. 😂
I really admire the size of Mats balls to take on tasks like this and see them trough to completion while at the same time making banging entertainment for us!
I watched this over two days and was totally captivated. Watching the whole process from start to finish seems to tick all of the boxes. The end price is regardless because the car becomes something personal mixed with the achievement and self pride. You've done this car proud, lads! Anyone else would've ripped it apart, and flogged it as spare parts. Well done, and many thanks for posting! 🤟
Having the entire build in a single video is brilliant! Even though I've seen the build already, for some reason it feels like I havn't when viewing in this format! Thanks Mat! Great to have playing while working on the hoopty!
I've seen the whole series and loved it. In this 1 beautiful movie, I just realize how much I like the way you edit and the music, the way it's filmed, everything. I love that your emotions seems so true, just a common dude enjoying a life that smiled back to him. Since I started watching a couple of months ago, i've seen all the builds and made your family, my family too. I believe everyone enjoys you and your dad's relation and interactions. Cheers Matt and keep the great videos comming, hey from Argentina too :D
Dude fully rebuilds 5 cars ... "But who can blame me, I'm no mechanic and I don't pretend to be". Son, you have more hands-on experience than the mechanics in my area who change oil ... sometimes.
As someone who does these same repairs for a well-known carmaker in the factory, it was interesting to see you work through these repairs.. the roof repair was incorrect but it’ll work just fine. Great job Mat! Loving the long format videos
What was the correct way for the roof repair ? I was just thinking that what if you need to replace it again ? I think it will come out really hard because of the windscreen bond
@@Scorylo031it’s tig welded with brass in my plant to do the repair.. only certain folks are certified to do the repair and it takes a load of work because the weld needs to be done in small sections to prevent too much heat sinking the panels. It doesn’t happen often because if the robot missed an entire weld like this, there’s usually another structural issue and the body is scrapped before this work is even done.
My father passed almost 20 years ago. The best part about watching this is your relationship with your father...what a special positive about the channel. Is he not on this channel...? Great job...!!
Matt, well done for this awesome video. As I undego chemo and nasty big C operations, I always follow your videos and get much pleasure from them, they are really theraputic and give hope to people. Well done mate.

Can't believe I just spent my Saturday morning watching a car repair video! Lol Thoroughly enjoyed your challenges and progression with this stunning car Mat! That colour!! Those wheels! I think I'm a Porsche fan now! Cheers from Alberta Canada. 🚘
Although I’d already watched this all the way through via the playlists. Having it spliced together as 1 video made it seem like a whole new build. What a car, it looks amazing the spoiler and the carbon parts against the yellow just finish it off. I love the fact that it’s a Cayman S a GTS (with the seats) a GT4 and a GT4 RS all rolled into one. The end result is the best of both worlds, a car that is more suitable to the road unlike a GT4 RS but has the looks and presence along with more power than a GT4. Mat as usual you smashed it. Now all you need to do is a 24hr ticket sale and live draw so one of us lucky subscribers can get to enjoy it 😝👍🇬🇧
I watched this entire Porsche Cayman's rebuild video and I must say, this was astounding. No one could believe if this was not recorded. You guys did an amazing job of restoring this beauty beyond it's full capacity. 😊👏👏👏
Finish the whole 2 hour 42 minutes without skipping any of the vid. Man, the way you're doing it is just so captivating. Definitely a goat in my opinion.
I enjoyed this so much. This is the second full video I've watched from you! I couldn't imagine watching it in small episodes. This format is wicked !!!
This rebuild had me captivated! I love the aerodynamics and the sounds of the engines of high performance cars (makes me giggle like you did after the oil change). 💜
Great work, absolutely brilliant. Courage that paid off, hats off. It was great fun watching the video, thank you! The way the video was made, including Mat's sympathetic and humorous manner, deserves maximum appreciation. Many thanks and all the best for the future. Greetings from Germany, Stefan
Sir you are a automotive artist.. taking a mangled scrap car to this is amazing, it can not just be hard work it is a love and joy for the what you are creating at the end.
This is better for me to watch nearly a 3 hour video rather than a few 40 minute videos every couple days or every week so I don’t forget or miss anything, plus I hate waiting for an upload lol, what a video man👌🏼
I can't believe I put off watching this video and started watching the others first, it's unreal that a home repair can beat a factory build on the track, and it looks amazing. The carbon bits and contrast of yellow and black is absolutely perfect. This is probably the best looking cars of all the builds so far, it's just so so neat and clean
Love this video, your mechanic work, and your video editing/format. I especially like that you put it all in one video. I watched it all straight through. Great job!
Love watching the videos put together like this, nothing worse than waiting days for the next episode to come out, I’d buy that Porsche all day long knowing it’s been built Wright!! Well done mate, great build, great entertainment, great results!!👍👍
This was some fire content lol I've not watched an entire video like this and had smiles at the end for Matt. The dude is very entertaining. Nice work.
Wow Matt, these builds are putting you into the next level! It must feel amazing! So well done lads! And I love porsches! Awesome! Thanks for the Cayman GT4 movie!
I am absolutely hooked! Never thought about subscribing to any of these channels that I watched that I spent literally two days straight and absolute amazement at this amazing Channel. Thank you Matt and crew this has been an absolute joy to experience
Hello everyone I'm new to the channel, I am so captivated and watching these videos.. never thought I'd be watching car build ones.. Well done to everyone involved 👏
If it's a reputable body shop they'll fit everything before paint anyway, so you probably saved them some time! Pro tip for keeping that body line: Level out one side of the body line first, in this case I'd do the bottom half first. Then lay a straight line with quality masking tape where the body line should be. Add another layer directly on top of the first. Now you can sand the other side of the body line using the tape as your guide.
You are a genius … a 3h video and I cannot stop watching it … Nolan with a 300 mil doll budget cannot do this so effectively… thank you for your work !
Because you done such a good job on the tint, you get me as a sub. Not to mention the great build and production quality! I never was a fan of Porsche but man that Franken Cayman turned out freaking beautiful. From the giant wing on its multicolored dented back came a track attack beast with amazing lines and a stance that could make you drool. I give it 9 out of 10, there's a point leftover because well, no build is never really finished lol. Thanks Mat, love the car and the video! ✌
I can't believe how much I've learned about cars and their parts from watching you film your journey. I feel like I can do my own oil change and light replacement now! You're truly inspiring. Keep up the amazing work and content!
Hi Mat, the forklift dents on your Camen s were probably done before it went to Copart as they have sponge type buffers fitted to stop metal to metal, plus their forks are wider. Sadly, some recovery yards treat vehicles as write-offs. Keep up the amazing videos.
I have been into Porsche cars all my life. Just don't have the funds to ever own one. I had really good jobs. Once My cancer was found, I had to retire. I love what you do with bringing those cars back on the road.
For a car rebuilder who sells cars to make a profit there is just no financial gain in a car like this, and most cars you take on. But that is where you have that edge. Even if it ends up over budget in the end, you still made money from the content. happy to see cars lik this getting back on the road because of it. well done MAT.
Its not about the money. Mat saves cars while serving us premium content. Most importantly he’s doing wat he loves n ofcourse making money off it. Dream job👍
I was just thinking if a future owner of one of Matts cars had a serious or fatal accident, even if it wasn't related to the repairs it would possibly end his channel.
I love watching his rebuilds...his accent is very soothing to listen to and there's no question to ask when it comes to "what he is doing now"!! Very good delivery of information the audience needs to understand! 100%👍 Prices are so much nicer then than now or, it's just terrible here in the states! Thanks for this video!! Your awesome!
I've been a machinist & welder for 25 years now and this is one of the most interesting channels I have come accross in a long time thanks to Cleet and crew ❤❤ I love every attention to detail so many other channels skip right past all the small stuff anymore that attention to detail and explanation of everything is very rare these days
Don’t forget, all things being equal, the PDK Cayman S with equal power will be faster than GT4 with a manual transmission. Especially, in a drag race.
Mat - truly enjoying these in Tampa! And you're constant enthusiasm for what you love doing shows through in every video. Wishing you continued success!
Holy smokes man! What a project! Very inspiring your energy is contagious. I way appreciate the hard work to film this all and edit etc. the labor invested in the build is substantial and the deferred wages or actual wages paid to your friends is considered I’m sure by the end of the video. I’m 3/4 way through watching. Also for my taste no black roof or side mirrors or rear wing. I love the color but I would have done almost EVERYTHING in the awesome yellow color you chose. Black wheels on the yellow could be the bomb…aloha
Mat, love what you’re doing making the impossible, possible while remaining calm, although I have not seen all your builds, there may have been one where you lost it. For the most part Hannah seems to keep you grounded, loved BMW build when she says maybe put your foot on the brake and car starts. Wish you all the best to you and your crew. If you make your way to Va Beach could always use your advise on a good auction buy build on a Infiniti QX70 Limited 😉🙏
I was so glued to this video and emotionally invested that I actually was sad at the end because I didn’t want it to end, this is better than studio quality
Well done Matt and team Ive been glued to the whole video which has been put together as good as your 718. Can't believe it was the same car when you picked it up from the paint shop. Now you've got that Porsche bug you won't ever shake it. Ive been hooked since buying mechanical repairable 987 Boxster's and have just taken on a 718 with the small engine fire you mentioned !!! First thing to do tomorrow is take out that air filter and check it for leaves and debris because its just a vacuum cleaner being so close to the NS kerb unlike LHD European models and even with the upgraded grill on the intake mine still managed a lot of damage from a cigarette probably thrown out the passenger window at the perfect speed! But thanks again you've given me and now others the bottle not to shy away from the body work projects too! PS Love the colour - its magic!! PK.
Hi Matt, just watched your full rebuild of the Porsche , it was “Amazing” best thing i’ve watched in an age! Loved the colour (signal yellow) loved the rim’s, loved the whole build process, and the final result matching it against the GT4 was truly unreal !!! - Paul
HEY MATT AND FAMILY LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS ESPECIALLY THE FULL BUILD SERIES!!!!! I'VE WATCHED ALL THE START TO FINISH VIDEOS ABOUT 3 TIMES EACH AND THEIR ENTERTAINING EVERY TIME!!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK BROTHER YOUR AN INSPIRATION AND ROLE MODEL AS WELL AS YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!!
Dude, I was riveted this entire video. Both this and the GT3 video are iconic. But the track test at the end of this video was like a cinematic underdog hero movie!!!
This car is off the charts! I'm stamering just attempting to describe my appreciation. Love your disclaimer on the safety convertible, so very cool that you didn't leave it that way! 😂 I would chose your BUILT Porche any day.
Love that you've got the F1 on in the background in your workshop whilst rebuilding this Porsche! I literally noticed it when I saw Verstappen standing on the podium once again! Love the videos, dude they're awesome I love watching these builds.
Matt? You are always killing it, man! Watching you is always a good... wait, let me refrase that! A great experience. Because you are on another level, my friend. You are going to take over the whole supercar rebuilding smashed whatever kinds of cars. I hope I worded that properly!
What a build and transformation of the originally damaged car, the air intakes were changed but with second hand ones, so Porsche can't be 100% certain that the side skirts that you fitted have the newer air intake grilles with smaller holes. These videos have so much content from buying the car to driving the car, keep them coming.
Wow. This car rebuild is amazing. You guys did a really nice job! The color is amazing, the back spoiler is amazing. I love all the carbon fiber. You guys have really inspired me to take on my own project. Well done!
Great format. I really enjoyed the video. To see the build from start to finish was fantastic. What a showdown and a great result for you & your Porsche.
Awesome! One thing that surprised me was the fact you started cutting off the body parts prior to the arrival of the new parts. It sets you up for some surprises and maybe additional work not needed. Anyway, I'm just 43 minutes through the video and it is my night's entertainment. I have a 2015 Porsche Boxster S that just got some front end damage and I'm considering going back with either a GT4 or GTS front. Just got back from a three visit to the British Isles and Sweden. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the people (guys like you). The food too but especially the people. Your country roads are awesome! Glad I live in the states but you have a lot to be proud of.
Love the vids Mat, absolutely love it! Gets me glued till the end every time. I would Choose the Cayman every time and since I love building engines and working on cars myself that's where the actual pride and joy comes in, knowing you built it with your own hands and it beating the GT4.. The pride :). Proud of you man!
Totally agree with some other comments, usually the so called top shows and vids, you sit through an hour of rebuilding or custom builds then the fully rebuilt car is driven off through the credits and that's all you see 😂. Brilliant video, excellently filmed, sound and edited really well, keep them coming Mat.
That was an education. I've been looking at Copart cars. This video gives me a better understanding of the repairs and costs associated with a build. Thank you.
I’ve watched 4 of your builds now in just 2 days. The builds are spectacular but whats even more impressive is how on earth do you keep an enthusiastic smile on your face all the time 😂 G 2:42:12 reat show to you and your team including Kevin 😂
I like this format. When a build is finished, it makes it nice and easy to watch the whole build from start to finish again.
Need a channel to show us fare usage and issues owning these beasts
It’s a treat to watch it as a single, very extended episode. Also, you really appreciate how much work is involved in repairing, modifying, refinishing and reassembling a higher-end car. Personally, I ♥️ the new paint. You won’t lose it in an airport car park.
I’m always very interested in BHP and at very least a remap. It’s as good as free extra power, obv it costs on fuel, but only when you bury the pedal into the shag pile.
It's like living vicariously through him.
For a car rebuilder who sells cars to make a profit there is just no financial gain in a car like this, and most cars you take on. But that is where you have that edge. Even if it ends up over budget in the end, you still made money from the content. happy to see cars lik this getting back on the road because of it. well done MAT.
This comment shows that Mat is kind of saving these cars, as nobody will touch them for profit.
@@beachlife2968no why would it be his fault
@@RenzoLifts Where did i say it would be his fault?
Great video and an awesome rebuild! I think it’s faster than the stock car because of the upgraded exhaust system.
Don’t forget, all things being equal, the PDK Cayman S with equal power will be faster than GT4 with a manual transmission. Especially, in a drag race.
I love the build series of this Cayman. I prefer built over bought. Nice work! I’ve become more of a huge fan of Porsche now more than ever before.
What an insane build, the amount of work you put in was staggering. Well done dude!💯
Watched the whole thing with one break at 1 hour 14minute mark.
That was a treat. Great work.
Where do you see the smoke?
@GardenGuy1943 boomer
I had tried to forward the video but got myself going back coz I had missed alot. Advice... don't forward! Much love from Kenya
Absolutely brilliant video Matt 👌🏻
I was so glued to this video and emotionally invested that I actually was sad at the end because I didn’t want it to end, this is better than studio quality
What miracle did you want me to perform 😂😂😂
Absolutely enjoyed every single bit of this video ! Thanks ❤
PK.
Yet again yet another magnificent video . First class work by any standard . Congratulations to all who helped you .
Hi Matt, just watched your full rebuild of the Porsche , it was “Amazing” best thing i’ve watched in an age! Loved the colour (signal yellow) loved the rim’s, loved the whole build process, and the final result matching it against the GT4 was truly unreal !!! - Paul
why is watching your videos more entertaining and the story well told than a new Hollywood movie?!
I love the comedic energy I hope all videos are like this!
The Super Safe removable Hardtop Cayman S commercial had me rolling! Great video and work, as usual!
What a build and transformation of the originally damaged car, the air intakes were changed but with second hand ones, so Porsche can't be 100% certain that the side skirts that you fitted have the newer air intake grilles with smaller holes. These videos have so much content from buying the car to driving the car, keep them coming.
I watch your 2 1/2 hour videos like I'm going to the movies! Keep'em coming!
Great shows Matt. I also enjoy the long single show format. Keep up the good work.
Awesome video, Mat had been killing it! So proud of u and keep it moving ! Support from Hong Kong !
there isn't enough builds on this Chanel now........ I'm addicted🤭
I never thought I’d be watching RUclips videos that take hours but here we are again. This was great!!
Mat, what a phenomenal video! Kudos brother!!! Loved every minute of it.
Great job! Just stumbled on the channel by falling asleep watching something else and this was playing when I woke up. Subscribed brother !!
I LOVVEEED EVERY SINGLE BIT OF IT..I STARTED TO BUILD A CAR ON MY OWN AFTER WATCHING THIS. THIS IS TOP NOTCH CONTENT❤❤❤
That was an education. I've been looking at Copart cars. This video gives me a better understanding of the repairs and costs associated with a build. Thank you.
the best build format ive seen keep up the good work
OPC is pretty cool there... technical, security, quality, but still PASSION! Refreshing to watch!
I’ve watched 4 of your builds now in just 2 days. The builds are spectacular but whats even more impressive is how on earth do you keep an enthusiastic smile on your face all the time 😂 G 2:42:12 reat show to you and your team including Kevin 😂
