One thing that would make this video wayyyyy better Is show a parts pricing when parts are shown and/or a quick cost breakdown so people know what to expect price wise if they’re looking to do this (or any portion of it)…yes I know pricing changes but at least say “at the time we made this video this this this and that cost $XX dollars for a total of $XXX Also as many mentioned in the comments - yes you addressed it in the comments after 28 people called it out - at least address it in the video saying “we didn’t install this or that because x reason(backorder/no stock, emissions, etc)” when filming for those that will think either you don’t sell it or for those who just don’t know or are gonna blame you for “doing something shady” Good video tho. Also wish y’all could’ve shown the new dyno run/graph and an after mods test drive. I get it tho, health issues, oh well
Always do your research kids....I knew he picked the wrong intercooler the second I saw it given the front mount radar system. The intercooler is an awesome mode but really takes time to do properly.
@JettyOMG they are in an emissions compliance County i love in huron county in Ohio and my specific county I live doesn't require emissions testing....
Only things I would have done differently are upgrading the turbo inlet pipe and cat back exhaust to replace that factory resonator. Now I want to get a mk7
I'm really enjoying these common human build's. We're out here balling on a budget and the video's resonate. Why didn't you use the ECS 2 piece rotors?
ECS doing “ECS” things. Modding the car to be “FBO” without even addressing the downpipe. And then when asked in the comments of their video they took a good amount of time making, it’s crickets…
@@ecstuninghow difficult would it be to do full bolt on for the video and remove it after so you can be legal. I thought you guys were mechanics, not lazy liars
Question : I already installed a catted downpipe (mostly for the throatier sound) and the CTS intake. How reliable would my car be as a daily driver if I got an accessport and a stage 2 tune (something like EQT). Has anyone here done that setup on their daily driven GTI? (I have a DSG)
Have had my '15 mk7 gti since the end of 2014. Tuned my ECU and dsg with apr stage 2/ hi torque. Did this with just over 200miles on the car and to this day I drive it like I stole it!! Just use good oil and keep up on the changes.
Great upgrade build! I’ve done a bunch of those mods on my Golf, just different mod companies, and it performs like a sports car. I’ve also got new shocks and lower springs, just waiting for money for install.
Depends on how well the car was taken care of. My modified MK7 GTI personally feels just as fast at 167k miles than it did new. I bought it new, and tuned it once it hit 2k miles, so it’s been tuned and modified its entire life.
Perfection. As long as the owner is happy? It makes all the difference in the world.
Downpipe, intercooler, cutch, tune, done.

in the next episode, you guys are gonna be installing a new clutch lol
Matt's actually is testing one of our prototype clutches in his car
does anyone know how bad torque steer is on golf @ 300 / 350?
@@Microphunktv-jb3kjbad 😂
You guys need to do this on a MK8 GTI next 🙏😩
Its not FBO if its pretty much just stage 1... on this platform stage 2 includes either a downpipe or upgraded turbo (if going with APR)
Always do your research kids....I knew he picked the wrong intercooler the second I saw it given the front mount radar system.
The intercooler is an awesome mode but really takes time to do properly.
FBO and no downpipe?
Yeah fair call, we aren't able to run DPs in this part of Ohio legally.
@@ecstuning what about all the catted DP's you have?
The owner is ecstatic... oh no wait he isn't. Also remove the mudflaps...
😒 it’s his car, let him have the mud flaps.
Yo, his tag says Ohio, they're probably a necessity there😂
I'll volunteer my Mk6 GLI for one of these builds! 😂😂
Great video. Clean cut and to the point.
Why no down pipe ECS Tuning? Y'all know better man?
Probably for legal reasons if they are in cali
@@gabeallen1212 Theyre in Ohio, but your previous statement may hold true. Dont know too much about the laws there.
Fair question, but we are in an emissions compliant state and this daily needs to be legal!

One of the fastest mk7 gti’s I’ve seen is from la hahahaha

i would go e85 if its available near you
Enjoyed this alot.l, gotta get a downpipe next
This is why you buy a base model kids, cruise control module just fucked him over
Can install the ecs intercooler and the arm front mount at the same time?
hey guys amazing done just point any info abut short gear change let us know what you add in thanks guys i like build.
Is that a carbon fiber wheel?? I need to know where to get one asap!!
I'm really enjoying these common human build's. We're out here balling on a budget and the video's resonate.
Why didn't you use the ECS 2 piece rotors?
Since Matt daily drives his car, he wanted a less aggressive rotor for his car. Something that's better suited for his driving style
Same🎯
No dogbone mount inserts? Easiest bolt on.
No down pipe or up pipe upgrade?
Yeah unfortunately we can't run a DP in this part of Ohio.
Who needs adaptive cruise and parking assist anyway! My radar was broken and a new one was not worth the price. Replaced it with an ARM FMIC.
So you guys skipped the best handling mod, UHP tyres?
The welding on that intercooler.. just bad...
ECS doing “ECS” things. Modding the car to be “FBO” without even addressing the downpipe. And then when asked in the comments of their video they took a good amount of time making, it’s crickets…

Awesome 🤩
Only the Cobb tune? I noticed 0 difference from stock vs Cobb tune. Go with EQT or IE or something
great build, but no turbo inlet upgrade?
I can’t believe he was gonna delete the adaptive cruise control just to install an IC for aesthetics that you can barely see anyways.
i wished i had adaptive cruise control from factory like his, too much work to retrofit 😓
350 wheel hp with is20???
Idea on release date for that new front lip?
Still in testing! Watch our socials for updates!
Hey where would I find those black rotor to buy for my GTI ???? THANKS
Serious question, suppose both were mounted? Would that work?
Unfortunately the ARM intercooler replaces the stock charge pipes so you would not be able to run both
Why not use your ECS front mount intercooler?
Mandatory subtitles!!!

I'm a daily with all of these things. I didn't have an issue till I started messing with fueling...
@@mtbchaz good to hear, is there any reason you started changing fueling stuff?
@@charlie_mk7.5 just a desire to try E85. I do my own wrenching. It's never going to end, this platform is great.

I WANT THAT FRONT LIP. I’LL TEST A PROTOTYPE FOR YOU!
We loved it as well, currently being tested! You'll see it hit our socials when it passes through testing!
An intake and down pipe should be a default. Get rid of those red accents man and the stickers all over
How much did the work cost? I have a gti and I’m looking for something like that
If you can't do it yourself, it's not even close to worth it. That's pretty much universally true for modifying cars.
@@weedshoes5089so If I cant change out my own clutch I can't go stage 2?
@hospagalief "stage 2" is meaningless. It's just made-up marketing to sell cheap parts to people whose only car knowledge comes from video games.
How about we do this to my mk8?
Great upgrade build! I’ve done a bunch of those mods on my Golf, just different mod companies, and it performs like a sports car. I’ve also got new shocks and lower springs, just waiting for money for install.
Full bolt on is a bit of a stretch for a car with stock manifolds.
Which window visors are those?
what front lip was that??
No downpipe? Thats the major factory bootleneck, can get stage2 map running at 350+ hp
Oh dear, oh dear.
I prefer my unatronic intercooler
Cold air intake is a waste of money
Yes and no… not using an oem style airbox is a waste of money. But upgrading turbo inlet, hose and filter warrants gains through flow testing.
Stop subtitling!
Rubbish cobb software. So much better software out there instead of that junk
Well in excess of 300, it proceeds to make 301 😂
LOL...just a little late to the game aren't you guys?
Def not a fbo
so an untuned.....unmodified 7-year-old vw GTI is making more power than advertised when it was new.....k.
Understated output numbers by Volkswagen, nothing new there lol
