    I have a 2018 JLU SPORT 3.6 AUTOMATIC with 83,000mls.
Got it brand new back in 2018. Couple more months and it's finally paid off. Right at 70,000 mls with no warning i heard the big fan on ,sure enough 248 °. Well, the heads warped and it had to be tore apart and fixed by the dealer cost me $5,200, it was already out of warranty.
Between 70,000 and 80, 000mls I have had three coolant leaks ( two still leaking ) ,a rear main seal leak (still leaking ) ,the rear axle leaks, I had to replace the green CANBUS block behind the glove box because my jeep was freaking out windshield wipers coming on , shifter was locked and all the lights were like Christmas lights on my dash and I haven't had a rear defrost since 6 months after I bought it.
Coolant leaks : reservoir replaced, now the thermostat ( replaced once already) and hose behind the radiator. I've had puddles of coolant and all over the front axle now for two or three months or more. Finally saved up enough money to get those fixed, but it's been 2 weeks since the dealer ordered the parts. When (if) all that finally gets fixed it'll be about $10,000 in repairs since I got it.

Assuming this is all true, I'm SO glad I custom ordered my 2 door V6 manual Rubicon this year rather than waiting until next year. The Pentastar has a flat torque curve, no turbo lag, and can make it well past 200k miles if you take care of it. I doubt these new turbo engines will go that far without major issues. I'd hate to be stuck with that complicated 4 banger that sounds like an angry bumblebee. I'll probably never buy a new vehicle again with the direction the auto industry is going

Did they fix the seating issue? They "squished" the cab on the JL model compared to the JK models and I found my head sticking up into the roll cage. They really need to figure out how to change that. I am excited by the potential of the new engine, but the big issue with the Wrangler is its HEAVY. This is overall awesome, but if you are doing a lot of city driving, you end up burning gas to accelerate to speed, then slowing down for traffic/speed bumps/traffic circles, the accelerating again. This is REALLY tough on mileage and is why I think the hybrid has a ton of potential for the Wrangler. I am a bit worried about how it will hold-up when offroading. Hopefully the experience they got with the current 4xe Wrangler has let them learn and resolve any issue there.
I really don't get the whole "Jeeps aren't fun to ride on the road" thing. My 2014 4 door JK Rubicon drives super comfortable and the JL models are supposed to be a lot more comfortable than that. So what the heck are these guys expecting, something like a 19070's Buick Electra (where it felt like you were riding on a couch?)

It has better drivability and acceleration and power than the V6. As most of us build up, our Jeeps, added a lift kit to mine and Bilstein shocks and bigger tires and it's still way more capable than the V6. For many people, it makes for a better daily driver. Its not as super capable on a lot of extreme conditions, but its still crazy good. The extra size makes it workable for hauling the family around on the weekdays and fun on the weekends.
My son loves my 4 door JK, but wants to get a 2 door when he buys his first car.

The 2025 model will not have the hurricane engine because the length is 5 inches too long therefore it will not fit in the engine bay. Thanks for the wrong information, bud.

No thanks, you can keep your hybrids and ev’s. They’re excessively heavy and I guarantee they’re going to strand off-roaders with computer and/or electronic failures.

Really?, looks like any other Jeep. Just what we really need. A All purpose, 4 wheel drive, off road, gas guzzling turbo powered vehicle to get into the Wal-Mart parking lot.

The hurricane engine is not going into the wrangler. You are stuck with the shitty/pentistar because Fiat says the pentistar will run in the jeeps until 2029

It's apparent that you have never owned a jeep, also it sounds like you work for stellantis . No one that i know that owns a jeep wants that new engine, also jeep had been saying that the 392 was going into the gladiator. But that turned out to be a bunch of (( B.S. )).........

The current V6, is a proven reliable engine why change? EV, who wants a vehicle that may go 24-44 miles in good weather. It’s a Jeep, I’m going to be driving it at -40C to +40C, why do these companies keep beating the dead horse? Besides it’s been proven that the Jeep 4xe blow up really good. Video out of England. Wow different coloured interior panels, snooze! Oh and twin turbos, this ain’t no Porsche, more to go wrong on the vehicle. The used market is looking better and better.
