Ford is phony . Ford uses a f450 1.25 ton truck against rams 3500 1 ton . This is my opinion .

The Toyota has much more power throughout the rpm curve versus my ford 5.0 coyote truck, much more power early on in the rpm range as well

Just bought a brand new 2024 Colorado z71, trailer wiring harness already not working. So frustrating. dealership doesn't even have a loaner car for me while the try to fix the problem. Way to many technologies added that only make things more complicated. Such as a trailer sensing wiring harness. Who needs that. Just give me a GM that works. Sales men had no idea what was wrong but from what I've heard GM is having problems with trucks equipped with brake controllers.

This guy must have a 2024 Tacoma. The only thing I agree with is that some newer Colorados have drivetrain issues. The 2025 model has a 6ft bed option and better MPG. These trucks are beasts.

I just bought a new one 3 months ago and the truck has been great. This video is bullshit! I guess paying 34,000 fot a LT is not good enough or paying 50 to 60 qualifies for Toyota or Ford is better! Ignore this video and the Turbomax will run circles around the other two. My best MPG has been 31.5 on the highway and I feel that for the money that I got allot for it.

In Canada, Hyundai only offers the Santa Cruz with the 2.5 Turbo and AWD. Our base model (equivalent to the SEL) comes in at about 50k CAD. the Ridgeline and Maverick with comparable equipment came in at 65k for the honda and 49k for the ford . I've had mine for a year now, only problem with the bed size is actually the standard tonneau cover, the container for the roll top takes up 1.5ft of the 4ft bed... if the container was smaller it would be perfect. the back seat is next to useless, especially with me being 6'6", but it is one of the few vehicles I tried that actually has a comfortable drivers position. I found it more comfortable, quieter, and better on fuel than all the competitors: ridgeline, maverick, and even the tacoma, colorado/canyon, ranger, and frontier. I also needed the 5000lbs towing, and it tows my 19ft camper extremely well. Overall very pleased with it.

Frontier, no question. US made, for less money and better quality. Not blowing transmissions, diffs, shock towers like Mexican soft Taco. And no gimmicky Toyota stuff.

I think I'll just keep my high mileage 2005 Colorado Z71 LS "beater" and have a few things repaired by a local garage. By the way, my Colorado is a five-cylinder model, and it gets an easy 40mpg on the highway and 30-35mpg around town depending on loading.

Competition? Not much competition if they’re all dumping the V6 at the same time and 4cyl with turbos. Not everyone wants that crap. It’s like they all went to a globalist party in Sweden one day and conspired to force everyone into a 4 cyl turbo platform. Prove me wrong with the exception of Nissan Frontier. They must’ve missed the email. I’ll take reliability over speed and torque. I’m old enough to not care about how fast I can take off at a green light.

The little Nissan Frontier is a great truck and its a little beast as well with 310 HP from its 3.8L NA V6 just like my 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it with 400 HP and 413 Ibs of Torque.

I'm in agreement with most of the comments. With the now very crowded mid-sized segment a vehicle has to stand out with some unique (or better) features. When the Colorado was first revived, the upcoming diesel option created a LOT of interest. Yet that engine got killed after just one model segment. The choice to go with just one model - one engine, one cab configuration, one bed length - only serves to make the Colorado as just as good as the competition, but no better. We all know that reducing these choices is designed for less expensive production numbers, unfortunately the price continues to rise, not fall as it should. So the bottom line is we as consumers are offered less yet pay more. That doesn't generate any brand loyalty. For myself, the lack of a long bed is a total deal breaker and even though that puts me in the minority there are still a sizable number of potential buyers who want a long bed on a truck. On the plus side, Whenever I decide to sell my Crew cab, diesel long-bed I'm pretty sure I can get a decent return.
