midnight on a sunday, and WOW! Thank you for reminding me why i am a holden fan. this video has just reminded me why i enjoy the vh-vl so much. A true smile but the added bonus of the fact you have had the car since new must make it so much more enjoyable. That being 700 ish HP, one word Sir, envious.
Such a cool car and sounds so crisp. Driven the way it’s meant to be driven as well 👌 I think any enthusiast would appreciate this whether your ford or Holden
Heath van der Waerden no shit he said it was his company ca back in the day. any moron whos had the same car for that long should be driving that good.
Some seriously great driving there guys, especially in the wet. You mentioned on video Adam that the VL slips and slides on it's 'skinny rear tyres', do you happen to know the widest rubber you can fit to the rear of the VL? I imagine it's the same as the factory spec but wondered if you'd tried fitting wider.
You know, I've been doing this Tarmac Rally stuff for over 20 years and for all but about the last year I used to worry about those blocks and "tip toe" through them, but last year when this video was made I just decided to ignore them completely and get on with it. I'll post some more video after Targa Tasmania later this month which has the rest of the footage from Adelaide and you'll see me just drifting over them and through them and they don't seem to make any difference at all.
That's funny, a guy at the airport said the same thing to me last week, and nobody has ever said that before, so twice in a week! To answer your question, no, my heritage is Russian.
as far as i know, its runs on full v8 supercar running gear. my dad was head mechanic for another team at "targa high country" and he saw this thing was running. great way to ruin a classic, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
I’m a FORD MAN. BUT THIS IS A GREAT CAR. NICE JOB BOYS.
The control this guy has of a rear wheel drive V8 in the wet has to be commended. Nice work.
that's some fancy driving right there. nice revvy sounding donk too!

I can't believe it took seven years for someone to like your comment. people can be ignorant cunts sometimes. I liked it anyway.
Totally awesome video thumbs up.

Great clip thanks.Good to see people not taking it all too serious and taking the piss out of themselves. Good on ya,love the sound !!!
Gotta love the VL's!
Awesome driving and awesome car!👍🇦🇺
SOUNDS AMAZING!
good driving and car sounds and looks great (non holden fan)
LOL at the confusion with the navigator.
"Cunt can drive". Very tough car too, fantastic video.
Heath van der Waerden no shit he said it was his company ca back in the day. any moron whos had the same car for that long should be driving that good.
This is what a VL should sound like and not "woot tooot tooot toooo"
There is room for both lol
the best part is watching the car from the 80's eat the car from the late 90's early 2000's
Awesome mate love the vl and you can steer it great should do a drift event sometime would love to see it :)
Thanks Michael, have been thinking about a bit of drifting.....watch this space, with a new Targa car in build the VL could be "retired" to drifting.
18 degree Chev straight out of a VZ Supercar.
Awesome legendary 750+ hp beast!!!!!!!
Could you tell me the engines spec's and the drive gear you are running, please.

I miss my VL Commodore. 😢
Hey there. I think we're running 265's front and rear.
Very nice driving!
ADAM YOU MADLAD
That was the coolest part!
nice car and great job
Sorry for my ignorance but what is an "18 degree Chev"? Great car, great driving, love it!
hey adam did you have this car when you had the wagon very nice
you have some massive balls driving a walkinshaw like that lol
Josh harp this my dream drive brother
VZ Supercar Chev Aurora engine, 5000cc running a 6 speed Hollinger H pattern gearbox.
Thank you, didn't know that.
Kick ass boys!!🤟🇳🇿
Can steer….
And
Sounds f$&king mint 👌🇦🇺
I wish this video didn’t have music only the engine noise.
750 hp how? whats the combo?
Actually 255 front and rear, couldn't fit anything wider.
Have had it since new...yeah, has ruined a classic....but this really does float my boat and it's MUCH more fun now!
Kaplan is a Turkish surname. Do you have Turkish heritage ? Nice Walky.
I want one.. and i love fords...
This would have 200 or so more horsepower than the V8 super touring cars would have had..
Definitely needs those 5 spokes
Ripper clip but take the music off, suck a great sound!!
Him passing the R34 at the end was kinda sad...
Good stuff...
Nope....still got an absolutely perfect VZ Supercar roller complete and sitting waiting for it's new owner to find it.
either you look younger than you are or you had a company car at age 10!

great vid' but they havto get rid of those blocks on the roads ....... at least for racetimes
time for ADGP drift comps mate. really stir the pot.
nice one.
10$ says he had the whole supercar at one point, crashed it, and ruined the chassis.
Interesting! Maybe your ancestors are Turkish who knows. Kaplan means Tiger in the Turkish language.

The smarter person would have just gotten another shell don't you think? Nice car anways but RIP Walky.

The music ruins it...
My dad has a walkinshaw
