Oh excited about this. I will probably cry a little seeing young Sarah in the auditions etc. She was so bubbly and full of life. We will never forget her. RIP, beautiful angel.
Love that during the interview around Cheryl's assault case its Nadine he speaks up for her most and is most tactile with Cheryl. They obviously had a close relationship in the early years ❤
Wow Nadine really had Cheryls back in that interview after her assault. She answered the most difficult racial question for her. That's a real friend. I hope Cheryl recognizes that after everything thats been said about these two in the past 16 years.
You are amazing with these videos!! And what to say about GA....my god, no adjectives. The music speaks for itself. They really are among the greatest ❤
OMG I still have the Greasemania CD after buying it when it was first released. It's actually in my drawer beside my bed lmao. Their cover of Hopelessly devoted to you is one of the best on the damn thing tbh.
I was very excited for this! Thank you so much. Now I have something to look forward to again in the next couple of months 😍. Though, a little note here... Sound of the Underground isn't the only album mit entirely written and produced by Xenomania. "Ten" also has two songs not written and produced by Xenomania (Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me and On the Metro, which was by Nicola and collaborateurs). I know, technically Ten is a compilation album, but still... They recorded new stuff for it.
I’m a Dutch GA fan and SOTU is how I got into their music before Dutch radio and TV channels promptly stopped playing them. I didn’t hear of them again until 2007!
OMG yes!! Girls Aloud are my favorite girl band, I'm so happy you made this! I wasn't actually aware of them at the time as I discovered them later, so this video had a lot of stuff I've never seen before. It was really cool seeing all the behind the scenes stuff, as well as that interview about Cheryl's assault charges. Thanks so much for this!
I loved hearing that stripped down mix of Jump. It’s interesting hearing how different the version they recorded to was to the final product. I wonder how some of their other songs like Biology or The Promise sounded in the recording phase.
I think there are some development tracks/demos of Biology floating around RUclips. I quite recently heard some of them demos. I also heard one of Sexy... No no no, and that was really interesting too (though I prefer the released songs very much)
Yass I'm so ready for this. As a US fan that discovered British gir groups in like 2008, it would have been amazing to have a series like this to watch. Keep up the good work!
Once again you have done a brilliant job. Love the cheryl interview about the assault. Everyone makes mistakes especially when they r young. Ive been a longtime fan from Germany. Shame their success was more uk based. They had some performances on german tv from the debut album. I wonder why the label never bothered much to try it more over here especially since the promo cant be travelled related… anyway thank you once again ❤
So, Sound Of The Underground was supposed to go to another group. By the producer, that no one ever heard of or know about. That didn’t take off before they get change to shine up.
lol they all have the weirdest accents except for Sarah who is like so easy and clear to understand as a foreigner with english as their second language haha. I think they all toned it down in more recent years.
really enjoy how you have backed up the live singles to the audio. also showing there other tracks from the album that should have been singles too. gonna watch the part 2 soon after thank you!!! i have a concern which I'm sure others would have noticed is that they all seem very concerned about cheryls wellbeing in the last interview. if she had gotten punch by a man and called "stupid bitch" i would understand........though she gave a black eye to a woman and called her a "black bitch" so the conversations don't make sense to me.........i would imagine shed be giving her sympathy to the woman and owning her bad mistake.....that we all make.....2003 i guess.. also big up nadine rising her voice and sticking up for her
Cheryl should be thankful the other girls allowed her to stay in the band because she could've ruined their career. Really surprised by how much Nadine defended her in the interview, just shows what a nice person is despite how other members tried to depict her for years!
Mostly a management decision with the girls decision. If anything, it was publicity for the group and kept them in the public’s eye. Im sure they’re all. Ice, but how they are with each other is different than with interviews. At the end of day, they all brought something different to the group and I think that’s why they’re all successful.
The interview about the assault u can clearly see how nervous Cheryl is. The others really helped her through that. She was young and made a terrible mistake. People should let it go really. Such a shame how Louise Walsh never was much of a manager in this era. Their early style was more street/next girl than later. You can see how much they grow/glow up later
@@maritta2504 yeah, she was always one of the strongest vocalists of the group, her stage presence is probably the reason why she didn't receive many solos
@@abc_jv_xyz I think she just had to grow into the role. She has been very self concious the first years and only later grew more confident. Also she has more than one Girls Aloud "solo song", which at least one of them never had (I don't remember now if it was Kimberley or Sarah)
Oh excited about this. I will probably cry a little seeing young Sarah in the auditions etc. She was so bubbly and full of life. We will never forget her. RIP, beautiful angel.
I'm so exciteeeeeed! You did a great job with the Sugababes documentaries

Nadine is a sweetheart, always has been. Her and Sarah were the nicest when i met them.
@@Marc-zi5cq what caused the fallout with nadine when its said she was a diva

Girls Aloud are the best, thank you for making this. So many memories of that era. Please make more videos of the other eras of Girls Aloud!
Thank you very much for the upload! It was so fun to see it and remember everything.
Nadine and Sarah will always be my favorite😍😍😍❤
I can't wait. But I also know that I always get a little sad watching these videos with Sarah
Thank you for all the GA and Sugababes content
GA is what got me into Xenomania. Like everything they touch is Gold.
Thank you for another amazing video!
Really looking forward to this!
These women are my Mothers. This is such an important part of history to me. Thank you for making this babe 💜
You are amazing with these videos!! And what to say about GA....my god, no adjectives. The music speaks for itself. They really are among the greatest ❤

Love you so much for this!!
Wow I thought I knew everything about girls aloud but I learned so much from this! Thank you ❤
So excited for your Girls Aloud videos 🙌🏻 Thank you !!!
Loved this! I hope you do all their albums 🫶

Nadine my fave always 😍 her voice literally carries their entire discography.
Love girls aloud. Shame I didn’t see them on their reunion. I really appreciate you putting this together!
Whole Girls Aloud series please! RIP Sarah Harding ❤
Such a great job you really covered everything from that era, I hope you do WWTNS or chemistry , really can’t diet enough of your docs xx
Thank you. Yeah I’ll get to them don’t worry x
This is absolutely bangin’! Thank you for your hard work. Love it

25:20 she assalted someone and, in this interview, they treat her as the victim 😂😂
Ikr, aww poor Cheryl having to actually face the consequences of her actions 😂
This was great! I always love your videos. It would be good if you would do another era of girls aloud as well.

♥️
Xenomania are just genius
Yay, I can't wait!
Can’t wait for the next episodes ❤
Your docs are great! any chance you could deep dive Mariah's Emancipation album, or Madonna Ray of Light
No Good Advice is one of my all time favourite GA songs. Always preferred it to lead single. And those tin foil outfits! 😍🤣

Love it, and I'm sure you're gonna do one for each of their albums.
Their best album by far.
Woop Woop🎉
YEEEESSSS
The fact they've just done a 20 year anniversary tour , confirms GA put the assault charge behind them !

I remember being so happy that Girls Aloud released Sound of the Underground and not a cheesy ballad, the One True Voice song was very disappointing.
Masterpiece! It’s unbelievable that the album is turning 20!
Life Got Cold is one of my ultimate fav 💗

What was the mix of No Good Advice?
omg yassssssssssssssssss
eamonn was a total gent during that interview
My subtitles said “hey I’m Nicholas”. 😂
You should be working for bbc making music docs / all your work is 5☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Sarah :(
It's such a shame they split up Nicola Roberts was the best
❤GA
Nicola's improvement as a performer is crazy, she was so boring in the promotions of this album
She was also probably pushed to the back on purpose, I don't think they thought she would have it in her. She was just 16 there, it's crazy!
