A couple things I’d add + some fun facts - when they were touring in Australia and heav left, they hired a dancer lookalike named “fake heav” by the fans who took heavenli’s place lip syncing. Apparently she was extremely rude and a total bitch to them. - Supposedly Naima and Mariama didn’t get along at all, and that may be part of why Mariama left in 2001. - heavenli left after the big reunion show because of arthritis - a Japanese singer named Crystal Kay covered “love of a lifetime” on her 2003 album “4real” and it also included a less explicit version of the unreleased honeyz song “just a little to the left”, retitles “nice and slow”. - “don’t you love me” by eternal was given to the honeyz while being already given to eternal , but they didn’t record it. - after the big reunion they recorded a song titled “price you pay” that was supposed to be released in 2013 but it never happened. It leaked fortunately. - an official concept Harmony album cover leaked. It had the titled “antistatic” which was then confirmed as just a placeholder text for the actual album name. It looks very different to the other artworks from that era - The “harmony” title wasn’t chosen by the girls and probably wasn’t the final one - very random but the font they used during the Harmony era on “I don’t know” and “talk to the hand” is called “Chalet Nineteen Seventy” - in 1999 they performed in Italy with Lionel Richie, but the recording isn’t available. Celena said that Naima still has the tapes and that she hopes one day we can all see it. She said in a recent instagram livestream that they didn’t sing that well cause they were all extremely nervous - before Anotherside, alàni (Celena’s cousin) was in a group along with her other cousin and Celena’s sister Candace called Kleshay - celena confirmed that in the late 2000s, when the lineup consisted of her, Mariama and Candace, they recorded some songs but we have never heard them -according to celena, there’s an unreleased song by then that features background vocals by Maxee of brownstone. She and celena were friends 💔 - to this day there’s 2 unreleased songs from the harmony era we still haven’t heard. They are “cool off” and “superstar”. - Mariama became studied and became a midwife after the honeyz in the 2000s
Fun fact: the Disney land story is fabricated. Heavenli was already signed and was working as a writer for solid harmonie (she’s credited on “got to have ya” by them) and then celena came in. Naima was apparently brought in at last.

Heavenli left the group 7 months after their debut, Mariama came in and stayed for a year and half before she left and Heavenli replaced her. I think replacing Mariama with Heavenli was a good idea, otherwise by adding another random girl the public eye would've given them a bit of the side eye - having 2 members leave with only one album out.
I remember when the line up minus Naima appeared on the big reunion and Celena said that her mic would be turned off for live performances 😂😂😂 she truly was the 'visual' for the band before KPOP even coined that phrase and dynamic 😂

Hmm...Heavanli would have known in meetings/rehearsals that Naima couldn't sing😆 I think she was more put out that Celena was chosen to be front/centre. If you watch the Big Reunion, there's old school footage clips of Celena rolling her eyes at Heavanli and putting her fingers in her ears when Naima sang. Lovely songs, but immaturity and too much ego all-round (except Mariama) was the reason for their demise, imo. Great doc all round! ❤
I loved their album and they seemed to disappear overnight!! The girls aeems lovely and sounds like Management caused most of their issues as per usual for groups.
Some trivia about Harmony: • Most of the _Harmony_ album was already recorded with Mariama before she left the group. • "I Don't Know" doesn't feature vocals from Heavenli at all, Mariama's vocals are on the song. • Heidi Range (Sugababes) demoed "Talk to the Hand". • "Talk to the Hand" originally featured Mariama before they reworked it with Heavenli. • Some of the songs on the album feature just Celena and Naima's vocals as a duo. • Apart from the spoken verses, "Not Even Gonna Trip" remains the same as it was recorded with Mariama. • Celena wanted "Just as I Am" to be the lead single off the album. • Apart from "Not Even Gonna Trip", the other songs they recorded in LA are "Love to Love You Baby" and "Best Man".

I love Honeyz whatever incarnation they have ❤❤❤ I've got their Wonder #8 album and 4 CD singles (pretty modest collection 🐣 but something 😊) and, it seems, they were that rare kind of band that fans accepted and welcomed any line up change, maybe that's because we (fans) were well informed of the reasons why Heav or Mariama wanted to leave or rejoin and then leave again. Anyways, Honeyz are the ones I am always happy to see and hear no matter what! They're like an old friend ❤❤❤
Nice songs but lacking something. Truly talented but bad management and the changes didn’t help them much. Once again a wonderful documentary where i didn’t much know about them. Thank you ❤
They had a good run of hits in UK and I wish they would have kept their r'n'b sound, I think pop sound ruined them. Won't taking it lying down is FLAWLESS!

She didnt do less than Marianna. Namia gets so much shade but she was there for all the hits, didnt leave to cause mess while they were doing well and was a popular member at the time.
