I LOVE THE FORMATTING OF THIS! I’m so glad there are new Spice Girls vocal analysis videos being posted. I love this! Whenever you can, can you please post more Spice Girls vocal analysis.
@@MichyaFromSweden It does sound like Mel B, especially now that we can hear it almost isolated. This might be another Spice album song Victoria was absent for, her voice being thrown into the chorus last minute.
A channel named DDP and teban_ds used to post Spice Girls vocal analysis years ago! Their videos are interesting, but they haven’t done new videos in a while. So I’m glad I’m seeing new videos from different channels doing Spice Girls analysis.
Great Video!!!, some thing you may have missed: - Geri does have another adlib at the right end apart from the one you showed in the video it is when the music is about to fade out completely, kinda hard to hear unless you pay a lot of attention. - Also Geri's chorus vocals are louder in the last chorus than in the 2nd and 3rd chorus. Thank you for the vid and have a great day!
Mel C and Emma were the lead singers in every songs, Geri was barely present, Victoria was underrated she can sing but she is more a studio singer rather then a stage singer
I think it's quite interesting. This video looks like one of the so-called "Line Distribution" videos. At times it's hard to recognize the voices, the harmonies of the "Divas" are not clear. Wow! how did you manage to recognize Victoria in those low tones? Do more analysis like that.
On the album version, she does the background lines in the chorus with Mel C. The "Wanna make love you ya, baby" lines. In the single version, she of course has that solo part in the second verse where Ginger's part was on the album version. "Once again if we endeavor, love will bring us back together..."
@@Turuncan She does sing in the song, she's in the "are you for real?" in the second verse and that part in the outro "slam your body down" but she isn't on the chorus
4-piece live version is way better than this. mel b sings with mel c while emma sing with victoria. i remember during earls court performance victorias voice can go even deeper than mel b
These are wrong. The verse supposedly by Emma alone is actually Emma and Victoria. Watch a live version of this song, either Istanbul or Wembley and you'll see it.
@@DDP121 it’s a pretty accurate representation though. And Mel B never sings “We’ve got” in the chorus of “We’ve got something kinda funny going on”. There’s many inaccuracies here.
It’s Emma and Mel B. Victoria’s low voice doesn’t sound the same as Mel B’s. Mel has a certain rasp and sexiness to her voice while Victoria’s is polished, clear, and straightforward, reminiscent of a voice who does musical theatre. Also, just in the way Mel B sings “it’s you I’ve got to feed” sounds just like how she sings.
@@brettbichard7347 That doesn’t always translate to studio version though. I know it’s Emma and Victoria live but studio it’s Mel B and Emma. Victoria’s low voice does not have the raspy and husky quality that Mel B has. The husk in Mel B’s voice is prominent here. Listen to 2 Become 1 chorus “Wanna make love to you baby” that’s Mel C and Mel B, it’ll give you an idea of Mel B’s husky low voice.
0:00 Lead Vocals
2:18 Chorus
4:09 Background Vocals + Filtered Harmonies

These girls were never taken seriously as “singers”. I think they’re fantastic. It’s more the energy they exude.

I love always loved Emma's voice
I miss them soooo much
Victorias harmonies>>>>
it's mel b i think
It sounds like Mel B, especially on the "easy" part. Victoria's voice is flat, Mel B has a rasp to it, and the "easy" was sung with some raspiness.
@@MichyaFromSweden It's Victoria

My ladies, my rock!
thank uuuu, i haven't seen anyone do analysis of the Spice Girls like now (everyone who used to seems like they won't do anymore)

@@toastdude1587 yesss i used to watch them, but then even though i asked about it they just didn't like to do videos bout them i guess
Emma & Mel B voices ❤
Remenber! This is before the time of autotune!
Please do it more of Spice Girls please? I LOVE YOUR VIDEO😍😍😍
Imagine this as bonus track on free disc 2 of their spice album back in the days. Fans would probably go gaga❤

Mel C and Emma❤
The vocals are incredibly separated, how did you do that???
Can you do "If You Can't Dance" and the album version of "Mama"? I want to know if "2 Become 1" is the only song that Victoria doesn't sing or not.

@@cation1107 I think she doesn't sing in the album version but in the single version she sings "wanna make love to ya baby" an octave below Mel C
She doesn’t sing on ‘Wannabe’ either.
@@Turuncan Yes she does. She sings "Are you for real" and she does the low harmony in the chorus and the bridge
@@Turuncan She does sing in the song, she's in the "are you for real?" in the second verse and that part in the outro "slam your body down" but she isn't on the chorus
It's strange...on the final of brigde sounds like Mel B not Victoria. "Ain't easy",sounds like Mel b.
Can you do fifth harmony work from home vocal analysis?
Can you plaese do something with Down Down Down by Lollipop?
3:48 is that the bridge? Doesn't sound like Mel B, so it is probably Victoria
i always thought was Victoria, but in those filters sounds raspy, especially the “easy”, i think is more Mel B than Victoria

Prediction:
1. Mel B
2. Emma
3. Mel C
4. Victoria
5. Geri
Mel C is the best singer
Geri does not sing on this song?
She gets the lead in the 2nd & 3rd chorus + a single line at the end of the song
@@girlgroupmaniaand her very final ad libs are "We gotta goin' on/ I got it, u got it"...
She’s on the harmony of the chorus
Seems to make strays upset like another cat is in pain , is this a cat in distress aound

live version is not equal to studio version, definitely the low voice in pre-choruses are done by Mel B, Victoria not sounds like that.
