The beginning is one of two things, flying around seeing the sites, or running for your life.

SV suggestion... Flea MK11 by Ente, a great starter especially for resource collection. (FYI I'm experiencing a blurring whilst you are moving in the video quality which clears and sharpens when stationary.)
Ty for the suggestion, have also noticed the blurring, suspect it is due to the bit rate, just need to find out if it the recording or the editing. All part of the fun of using new editing software on a new PC.
for a rp standpoint im likeing re2's new dread start... literally tossed down by pirates have to repair IDA and to gain unlock points IDA "scans" the cores you destroy to gain experience also they added a little more iron bearings so you can make a portable constructor... so far testing im impressed with RE2

I just mine out the resources close to the base. Loads of xp and enough to bring in a small sv.
Had hoped to avoid this as it can be grind using the mechanical drill, if nothing turns up in the next part then mining it is. :))

The problem with spiders and scorpions is they have a small hit box, even with a shotgun still have to hit the upper body. A good hit from behind can give a one shot kill, but when they are running around finding the sweet spot is a pain.
