@@fisherman3210 that’s buddy I’ll go check it out I’m thinking about putting a 2”” square piece in right behind the set for main piece! Then attach some 1 3/4 inside from outriggers arms! Maybe try a screw and wing nut so I can detach them for when I’m traveling! Brilliant idea man thanks for sharing
Good job. A few questions for you. Do the outriggers touch or drag much in the water when trolling? If the kayak was level would the outriggers be touching the water? I'm just not sure of the height I want to do mine
Mark Braddy since this design I've added another aluminum bar on top of this one, so as to raise the outriggers up more, this fixed the issue as with a battery in the back they did drag, but since I added the extra bar to make them higher they've worked flawlessly
Awesome! Best outrigger and trolling motor set-up I've seen yet. I just bought this same kayak and would love to do this to mine as well. Any advice or instructions you could offer? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
Hawksfan3986 yeah man works good, mines seen lots of abuse without anything going wrong or breaking, going on 2 years now, best advice would be to make sure the bolt holes are square, and you use 6000 grade aluminum
Thanks for the reply and info man! Where did you get the Aluminum if you don't mind me asking? Did you have to do a lot of modifications? For the Trolling Motor, did you use Aluminum for the Mount, as well? Any details you can give would be really helpful. Thanks again!
Hawksfan3986 I got the aluminum on amazon, they have a lot if you search "square aluminum tubing" for the mount I just used starboard because I already had it, wood would work too, but starboard doesn't rot
Hawksfan3986 are you using a deep cycle marine battery to power your trolling motor? I went that route at first, I now use lithium ion cells (same ones as in laptops) to power the motor
Holy fuck man, you almost got a speed boat
Great set up! Can you provide more details on this please?
H-sGrace SavedMe yes, what would you like to know?
fisherman3210 the materials you used. And where you purchased?
Yes this is awesome
I was just thinking how you can add outriggers and trolling motor on same bar
Won’t rust either using alloy
@@fisherman3210 how expensive is alloy
@@joshfarris5593 not much more than steel, I bought these from Home Depot

so you want to set the outriggers a little above the water so they don't drag?
Mark Braddy yeah exactly
excellent, thanks for the help, put up mine when I finish
Mark Braddy no problem, lemme know how it goes
Where did you get that hatch for the seat?
Dan Kerns SEAFLO MARINE BOAT DECK ACCESS HATCH & LID 14.75"X10.6" - WHITE 270mm x 375mm www.amazon.com/dp/B015WLD3LO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_R-cvAbC2P93NX

fisherman3210 Ok cool, good to know.
Nice setup! 👍😃 Where did you get those orange waterproof boxes?
Scott Davidson appreciate it, Walmart in the camping section, they're about 7$ each
fisherman3210 Thanks Bro! Just got my kayak and like these cases. Keep up the great videos and perhaps we'll see you around South Florida!

Scott Davidson sounds good!
A little overkill for the swimming pool, no? Just kidding. Nice setup.
Joseph David appreciate it
At least he has testing facility
