Hi! If you don’t see the mode on the camera you need to update the firmware! At the start of the video I tell you what is the minimum firmware required to have the hdr video! Hope I could help you!
I own an Action 3, and the main issue I have is with low light footage... Seems like "Pro" users are more concerned with "Cons" versus the general viewing public... even if my footage is "grainy"? I've NEVER had a viewer comment and say... 🗣"Hey nice footage!...But it was a little grainy in the middle of your VLog.." Overall, I love my DJI Action 3 and just used it yesterday with the HDR video mode... so far it looks good (4k 30) I'll be editing in Post production this week... Thanks for you perspective!

But it’s absolutely true that I’m trying to analyze this camera with a microscope to share all the thing that are good but expecially what can be improved. About the low light yes it is 100% true that this camera is not a champ in that regards but it is absolutely normal due to his sensor size. And as you said nobody will notice so focus more on the storytelling instead of the technical! This only my advice for you! Thank you again to have dropped a comment!

6:20 I think the white line might come from the hdr composition because it could be a thin line of the bright exposure that didn't get covered up by the dark exposure. But I'm not sure. Thanks for the amazing video!

Hi, great video👍 For someone that's new to action cameras can you recommend settings ie.frame rate,shutter speeds etc for daytime & night scenes. Im likeing the image quality you had in your video. We are going to Switzerland in a few months so if I could get the quality your getting I'd be happy. I have just purchased a action 3. Thanks👍
Hey there! Thank you so much for the kind comment! To try to answer to your questions is actually pretty easy. About the resolution and fps you have to choose if you want to slow down in post the footage in post. If you want to do it choose 4K at 50 or 100 fps, if not stay at the regular 4K 25 fps. Then about the shutter speed or about the exposure in general, believe or not, I set my camera 90% of the time to autoexposure and auto white balance. The only scenarios where I suggest you to set a manual exposure is at night because the default shutter speed can introduce to much motion blur in the footage. In this instances set the shutter speed to 1/100 sec. Would you like to see a dedicated video about the best settings for the action 3?

Ni siquiera he usado el action 3 sin estabilización porque no No veo ninguna razón. Dude I have no idea!! But considering that the camera is out for a while I don’t think that it’s going to happen. Think about the action 2.. since technically speaking it is almost the same camera I think that they 100% could add 10bit and the hdr but they didn’t do it.. I think the reason is the age of the Action 2. So for me no, they won’t add any big feature for the action 3 in the future.. I hope I am wrong though 😂
Is dji action 3 good when compared to iphone 14 pro in day light? I know in night action cameras are not good. Please share the link of invisible stick.
Hi! Related to your question I still need to do a in depth comparison with this 2 cameras but you can already seen some night shots of the action 3 and I can already say that the camera is usable in that conditions. In day light instead I think that the action 3 is even better than the iPhone! Better colours and better dr! The invisible stick video is coming this week then!
the angle when you shooting the video is quite uncomfortable for viewers it looks like you put the cam right at your chin level and look down on it like a bird. such a strange camera angle
You’re totally right! Unfortunately it is a bad effect of a wide angles lens! For that reason you will se that I’ve recently changed the set and I’ve totally changed the angle and the lens! Hope to see you in the next one!

was the HDR mode in the iphone on when u compared it to the action 3 hdr mode?
Yes it was! You can’t disable the hdr video on the iPhone because it is always on

Thanks for video. I returned Action 3 because of focus issue. It was a shame because it wasn't fixed with firmware update.
