  • In this episode we tackle front wheel bearings on an AE86. The school car needs the bearings replaced. Fortunately one side came apart clean, which will usually be the case. The driver side however was seized and missing the hub seal. We go ahead install new bearings and seals and reinstall the hubs at the CORRECT torque specification and instruction.
We also put in some new brake pads and secure the rotors in place.
    Part numbers are as follows:
    Spindle Nut Washer - Dorman - 618-021
    Wheel Hub Seal - NSK - 16151
    Inner Wheel Bearing - NSK - BR8
    Outer Wheel Bearing - NSK - BR1
I appreciate every view! Thank you for your support!

Thanks for the great video man. My 86 has been sitting for about a year because I've been too afraid to put back together the wheel bearing assembly after I took it apart. now I'm doing it and it will be on all four wheels for the first time in a year and a half.

Would a cold chisel work instead of a angle grinder

Possibly. Just do NOT strike the spindle. I’ve found a grinder is safest
