We received one of these beautiful caskets for my daughter when she died as a newborn. It was so wonderful, and I still cherish the cross that I got to keep from the top of her casket. They also sent out a card to remember her years later. As someone that has had a child die, it is so special to have someone recognize her and how important her short life was. Also the casket was just beautiful!
I can feel your pain, I lost 2 daughters at birth. I can't remember where the caskets were made. Thank you to these fine people who build them for everyone
I am so sorry. When anyone tells me their child died, I just don’t think “I’m sorry” is adequate. But, bless you and your family. My husband is getting one of their caskets.
I've been on retreat at this monastery many times. It's a most beautiful and amazing experience. I suggest it for anyone, Catholic, or not. It doesn't matter to the monks. They love to welcome all. We always leave them with a donation.
For some unknown reason this in my opinion was one of the best you have produced. I’ve never heard of this company until now, however I will send my support to the child casket program. Continue the good work at keeping the public at large informed of your work.
Up to five caskets a week for children? Wow! That really hits me in the heart. It just brings the level of love and blessing to another level entirely! Much respect to everyone involved in this ministry. The designers, the craftsmen, the monks and the families they serve! Thank you for this video Carrie. I’m will keep them in mind when it’s time to plan for myself. It’s eco-friendly without sacrificing tradition. 👍😇✝️
Oh my goodness!!! This showed up on my YT today! As a van expedite driver I was called here recently to pick up a casket on a Sunday. I was given a short tour of the company and was greatly amazed at the quality of these caskets!!! I highly recommend!!!
I've driven by this place many times for work and it being close to home. I never knew exactly what they did. Their products are beautiful! Thank you for taking the time to create this video.
What a beautiful company. The tandem casket. What a fantastic idea. I am sure the family was comforted by seeing their loved ones together for eternity. Thank you for taking us there.
Kari, thank you for taking us on such a beautiful journey here. I am just in awe of the beautiful work they do, so talented and such a blessing to the community. ❤️ Thank you again.
My husband and his father worked at the (closed) Marsellus Casket Company in Syracuse NY. They made the finest hard wood caskets in the nation. He worked in several departments. He worked in delivery to deliver caskets to funeral homes. Also polishing for a glass finish, then finally Finishing........he put the hinges and lids on the casket. I got a chance to go see him do a casket. WOW! Unfortunately, Marsellus closed due to people buying cheaper caskets. They even kept a casket for very high profile people that passed. The very hi end casket was used by Presidents, wives and important people. One example was former President Lyndon Johnson and his wife, Ladybird. I was so saddened by it closing. My husband got “laid off.” He ended up working at Chrysler Auto plant, which also closed. He passed about 10 years ago. 💕
Ole lbj there was the mastermind that polished of John Kennedy in November of 1963. Just before the bullets started flying, he hit the deck of the Cadillac he was riding in from what I read about all of this. He knew something, and got away with it to.

Thank you for this, I build caskets in my one man shop, I so truly enjoy it, I started when I made them for my parents, and it just flourished from there, I don't make Urns, but you never know maybe in the future, again great job, thank you for this
I am ordering two caskets for my husband & me when we need them from the Monks. I have personally spoken to them and they truly do care deeply for every person that will need their caskets. It is a great comfort to me to know they will be praying for me while making it. They never rush you, ask you kind questions and just generally get to know you before the work is begun so they can pray for your family as well as myself. No "Big Box Store" type final bed for me thank you. May God Bless you all..you too Miss Kari, for all the blessings you deliver. What you do is a gift of love to each person and God will reward and enrich you fully. With much admiration and may he Bless you all for this ministry.
The work they do is amazing. I bought a wooden urn from them for my Mom's remains and everyone including the funereal home remarked on how elegant and beautiful it was. I'm going to order mine before I die.
Thank you for posting this. It is so nice that these people can put their skills as well as their blessing into each casket. What a great way to give back to the people and the earth.
This is my favorite video you have done! I found it truly touching. I have never heard of these caskets and never looked at a casket in this way. I alway thought of them coming off an assembly line. These people are truly amazing. Thank for doing this video.

It breaks my heart I can’t be there. But, I’m going to share this with my 3 sisters. My mother, who is in great health right now, is 76 and eventually we will have to face her death. A simple, what you see is what you get woman who has lived the majority of her life in the Piney Woods of North Louisiana. It’s just her. She would love it! And even though we’re Southern Baptist, she’d be proud to be laid to rest in a casket blessed by a monk. I’ve bookmarked their site so I can show this to my sisters. I think we’ll have no trouble at all agreeing it has her written all over it. Another place you might be interested in checking into is Angola State Prison here in Louisiana. Awesome!! They are the Best ppl. They made & donated the casket & urn for Elizabeth Collins & Lyric Cook after the girls were found. God bless them & may they be blessed in the future.
Thank you Kari for this outstanding coverage of an inspiring ministry. I was somewhat caught off guard when I observed one of the products of "my" livelihood in use in their woodshop. Thank you so much for sharing this story of such a beautiful endeavor to fill a need. So meaningful to take the time to create a quality product and make the effort to use sustainable wood. And the blessing of each casket is priceless. This is by far one of the very best videos you’ve shared!
Katy, you must know this is best yet. And thank you for all you do bringing death & funeral information to the world w/tender prrofessionalism. (as opposed to the snark and silliness of a channel I shall not mention)
This video sure pulled at the heart strings. What they do is amazing! I went to their website after watching the video and was very surprised at the pricing! I thought they would be at least double what they were charging. Thank you so much for making this video, I've never heard of them before.

Thank you so much for sharing this story of such a beautiful endeavor to fill a need. So meaningful to take the time to create a quality product and make the effort to use sustainable wood. And the blessing of each casket is priceless. This is by far one of the very best videos you’ve shared!
Thank you so much!
What a Heartfelt video. What Love is put in these Caskets & Urns. 💕💕
It really is!
That was so beautiful.

Katy, you must know this is best yet. And thank you for all you do bringing death & funeral information to the world w/tender prrofessionalism. (as opposed to the snark and silliness of a channel I shall not mention)
Thank you so much!!
This video sure pulled at the heart strings. What they do is amazing! I went to their website after watching the video and was very surprised at the pricing! I thought they would be at least double what they were charging. Thank you so much for making this video, I've never heard of them before.
It really is!!
Truly Amazed at the beauty of every piece......

Kari, you seem to be able to stir in us the emotions long covered in Covid and other 'life' threats! I have to agree with David Reid that this is one of your best! Thank you seems so small but it is the best I can give you!
I try!
Yes I'm familiar with them since they're about 15 minutes away from where I live. My great uncle was buried in a Trappist Casket.
