I can’t even begin to explain how meaningful your podcasts have been to me recently! My comment would be too long to go into all the details but as someone who had a polar opposite childhood than you both I SO appreciate the wisdom and perspective you guys share! I don’t listen to podcasts so catching it on RUclips is what got me and I’ve been watching them back to back! I had to come back and comment because without thinking I opened to Proverbs 22 because today is the 22nd and there’s the verse you guys shared. I love how God uses little things like that! Thank you guys for being willing to be used by the Lord. Ya’ll are like the big brother and sister in Christ I need at times 💜
The godly wisdom both of your parents imparted through their modeling, priorities, and words - and your ongoing commitment to stay in the Word and live your lives according to Scripture - really shines through you both. You are wise beyond your years as a result and it will keep giving to your generations. Thank you for sharing it with others so they know they are not alone and it’s good and right and possible with God’s help to live counterculture for His glory.
Unfortunately, my (ex) husband did have an affair and leave our family for this person who he remains with. I remain heartbroken years later for the loss of my marriage and intact family, not to mention our homeschool life (as you can see on my channel). I was left in a position where I was forced to work and thereby ending our homeschool. It's all just so heartbreaking when the devil destroys families. I thank the Lord for families like yours that preach the Gospel not only in word by through your example. I try my best to be an example of Christian woman for my kids and pray that He can make beauty from our ashes.
The phychiatrist didn't want to say anything to upset the potential customer, no one wants to offend anyone, or make them feel bad, and instead gives them a softer and unhelpful answer to not risk losing them as a friend or customer etc. People are too afraid of being honest now, which us what many people need! Often it's not the easy answer or what they want to hear.. but if people could be more receptive to truth and honesty, problems would be solved much faster!
I want the light phone. We had the gabb phone and it's a permanent dumb phone, it's very hard to use the features it has, I like how the light phone can be a phone away from your phone by switching the sim card and taking a break from the smart phone. I like to leave my smart phone in my office and use it as a tool, but I want a phone that just calls and texts most of the time, sometimes I do need to be able to send pictures etc. Or use it for grocery pick ups etc. I know it's possible to live without it, I did a 72 hour digital detox no phone or computer t.v. anything and it was so eye opening. I wish it was easier to do that more often, that's what the light phone allows, step away from the smart phone when needed. Thw gabb phone was too hard, it felt like a kids phone, it wasn't practical, they have added features since my husband and I had it but I still prefer ro use my smart phone as a tool in my office, and carry the light phone, or as I have now a dumb phone.
So glad y’all didn’t stop the podcast! I love that y’all live out your faith so practically . It’s given me such encouragement that the things I do matter, obviously not for salvation but for living life.
Love this so much! It’s so rare to find people that think this way and have values and priorities this way! Wish I lived closer to ppl like you! So good! Blessed us!
It is really nice to find other couples on media platform who prioritize God and marriage above the world. Thank you so much for continuing the podcast! Also, impressive to find entrepreneurs who do not want to depend on social media. I had been wondering even thinking about children and their friends if it is really possible to stay away from all of these without missing out on others. Amazing commitment!
Thank you for your encouragement. Like all people, we fall very short of living up to our ideals and walking consistently in our convictions. Our hope is in the only ONE that has walked it out to perfection on our behalf.
This is great! Thank you. Recently the Lord has helped me to realize some things in my own life that I feel maybe a sense of guilt for not doing. I know what I am doing is what I should be doing (like staying home from work a couple days a week with my one year old and taking it slower). I am praying God gives me peace as I have those hard uncomfortable conversations that need to happen to truly be content where I am to not compromise for my family and my faith!
yesssss best podcast you've done!! LOVE that this goes against the grain and you guys actually stand for something instead of being neutral like society (not that you were ever neutral;).
This was good! This really allowed me to reflect on my non-negotiables and made me curious to talk with my husband about his non-negotiables and how we can work together towards building a stronger family unit. Thank you! I did have a question though. I wonder how you would handle not wanting to visit in-laws and family that could be bad influences? For example, in-laws that drink excessively or do drugs. I find this to be a touchy subject but an important one when it comes to raising children.
I am also very interested in your thoughts on this, especially since you have talked about how your parents worked hard to keep close and good relationships. The bad influences I experience from family are less extreme than OP’s, rather things like consistent immodesty and adults’ bad attitudes. I have three children under 4 and we don’t want them around people (at least not much; I understand ministry is an exception) who do things we aren’t okay with and thinking those things are indeed okay.
Could you share the place that you removed as there was unwanted attention from men. I’m guessing the gym, I have heard the most common places for affairs to start are work and gym. Thanks for another great podcast!

Thanks for taking a stand and not wavering in your beliefs! So refreshing.

Good for you, Sara! Blessings to you!

Ah, Hayley! You are always such a big encouragement to us! Thank you!
This is by far my favorite episode! Thanks for taking the time to make it a separate session! I’m going to relisten sometime.
Right on! So glad to hear.
I know this comment is really late, but this was a great discussion. Very thought provoking.
So happy 😊 You didn't stopped the podcast. I love this new phase.
I'm so glad!
So excited you guys are back! God bless you and your beautiful family, you are such an inspiration and joy to listen to.
Thank you so much! We love being back!

Such a big question, Amberlyn. Hopefully we can address it in an upcoming episode. Prayers for you.

You guys! THIS. WAS. SO. GOOD.
I think it's ok to say that someone is making a bad decision without making qualifications.

100%!!!!!!!
What kind of phone did you recommend for a non-smart phone?
Maybe the schools should have rules no devices at school
